  3. Assuming that's a left hand drive vehicle, that LEO took a whale of a shot to throw that screen.
  4. No clue what price that is, but there seems to be a lot of digits. Must be Surly 0.01%er material.
  5. Our dog (Westie) licks and chews every bed we buy him until it is disgusting and coming apart with padding everywhere. I am open to other options.

  8. A little fancy for this thread, but I think the paper plate and plastic spoon will just get you in under the wire.

AB could be a southpaw. That's my business hand.
  10. Can you still technically call that a grilled cheese? More like a Texas cheese steak. Either way, would smash. Well done.
  11. I thought the pettiness here from both universities would be appreciated (for opposite reasons) by Surl... One for all: After UC threatened legal action, Tennessee middle school rebrands to 'Musketeers' ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. — After being threatened by the University of Cincinnati with legal action, a Tennessee middle school has rebranded and will now share a moniker with UC's biggest rival. Last month, Cheatham Middle School - located about 30 miles outside of Nashville - posted to their Facebook page saying they received a cease-and-desist letter on behalf of UC, with the school citing copyright and licensing infringements of CMS using "Bearcats" as their nickname, as well as a logo that resembled UC's C-Paw logo. Monday, the school announced what its new name would be. "We are proud, we are honored to say that we have chosen the Musketeer as the new mascot that will take us into the future," Cheatham County Athletic Director Jeff Hobbs told WLWT Monday. Hobbs said the idea came to school leaders through social media, after a Xavier alum and founder of a Cincinnati-based marketing firm offered to assist the school of less than 600 students to help rebrand after UC's biggest rival. "The community near Xavier really gravitated to this. It was kind of a fun, playful suggestion for our new mascot," Hobbs continued. "While we all had a good laugh about it and really respected the rivalry that comes along with it. The more we dove in deep to the idea and the meaning of what a Musketeer is. You know, the slogan: 'All for one, one for all.' When you really dug down to the definition of a Musketeer and how, just that side-by-side next to my brother, the all for one." Musketeers was one of the school's final four choices and ultimately beat out Bobcats, Coyotes and Cubs. In exchange for becoming the Musketeers, Anthony Breen and his company, Synergistics, offered to foot the bill. Hobbs says Synergistics is just as excited as the school is. "They've bought in and they're excited about who they're doing this for. And it's those children and a Title I school in a rural county outside of Nashville. They've really grabbed on and gravitated to the actual people they're doing this for." Before the name was made official by the school, Musketeer Gear, a non-profit founded by Xavier alumni and run by and for Xavier student-athletes, already had a "Cheatham Musketeers" t-shirt that is eligible for purchase. All the proceeds from the shirt go directly to CMS. Announcing the new name is just the first of what Hobbs says will be a long process. "It's nothing that is going to happen overnight," he said of the rebranding efforts. "We're making sure that our school and our community know that it is a slow process. Unfortunately, we can't snap our fingers tomorrow and have everything fixed or changed." Changes will range from posters in the hallway to behavior and reward charts inside classrooms to, of course, a new gym floor. One of the things that won't change: The school's colors. While they're taking on the "Musketeers" name, the school will still keep its color scheme of red and black.
  12. This was my instant thought. Knowing someone was going to reply with this was my second.

  18. Just so we're clear, you do NOT work for United Healthcare, correct?
  19. Wait, wait, let me guess - the 60's?
  20. Another detail I just remembered - he created so much negative publicity for the insurance company they made it go away by forcing the physician to write off the hospital to pressure the intensivist to write off the charge. As a physician himself, that just made him even more mad, because he knew the guy had a valid right to be paid for services rendered, but the system had everyone involved by the short and curlies.
  21. I follow @DGlaucomflecken on socials for medical humor, and he regularly trashes insurance companies in general, and UHC specifically. He's an ophthalmologist that survived a sudden cardiac arrest, and afterwards his insurance company denied charges from the intensivist who they claimed was out of network, even though the hospital was in network. Not like he had a choice which intensivist treated him when he was unconscious. He proceeded to crucify them on social media. Not sure he has the Surly brand of dark humor to address this development specifically, though.
  22. Purely a guess, but prevailing winds being from west to east would have kept downtown upwind from smoke, cattle smells, etc.

Not sure where that puts you on the shipping cart theory, but I'm pretty sure I know where the cop falls on the cop theory...
