Yeah, knee scopes can run a very wide spectrum of quick to slow recovery timelines, depending on what they have to do once they are in there. If there is no major meniscal tear and it's just a mild clean up and flush, you may feel better walking out than you did walking in. If you majorly tore up your cartilage, it may not be much better at all and the arthritic degeneration is simply a matter of time. If your meniscus is torn in just the right spot and they can throw a stitch in it and do a meniscal repair, you will have to be totally non-weight bearing for a minimum of six weeks.
If your ortho has given you an idea of what they expect to find based on MRI, exam, etc., you can take that knowledge and plan a ballpark based on what he or she told you they expect to have to do - but that's not a guarantee.
Steve Martin - teach your kids to talk wrong. When they have to go to the bathroom, teach them to say "May I mumbo-jumbo to the banana patch?"
That's the kind of worthless trivial memories floating around in my brain, not useful stuff like people's names...
Per the Googletrons, I found this:
Go to Settings > Displays & Brightness > Appearance. Turn Automatic off.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. Turn Auto-Brightness off.
More than one place to have auto brightness controlled seems a bit counter-intuitive.
They call it "practicing medicine" for a reason. Everybody case and patient is different. To everyone on this thread, if you have to have spots, may your spots be good spots.
Great googly moogly. Assuming this was somewhere in Myanmar? If this is just a teste of what they are dealing with over there, 10K fatalities may be an underestimation.
The rye is quite tasty, so tasty in fact I just killed a bottle a few minutes ago making an OF. Their website says it is distilled in Owensboro KY, but the recipe mimics MGP's 95/5 rye. I suspect they started out with MGP juice and switched over once their own stuff was sufficiently aged. Parent company is Bardstown Bourbon Co., who is pumping out some good stuff.
I'm sure there is a logical explanation for this, but it's a minor inconvenience. For some reason picture posted by @SurlyBDR load significantly slower than any other pictures on any of the boards. I'm assuming he or she is using a different hosting site, yes? The entire rest of the page will load in a flash, and his pictures take several seconds to load and won't start until I scroll down to that individual post, so threads he frequents (i.e. Dumbass Shit We See On Facebook) has pause after pause as picture after picture loads. Anybody else notice this?
Can't remember seeing a thread like this, and I'm thinking it could be potentially entertaining. My recent YouTube rabbit hole adventures have lead me to @DonutOperator. He is assumedly former law enforcement out of the San Antonio area. His politics would put him at odds with the more vocal crowd in here, but his sarcastic sense of humor is spot on Surly. I have seen several references he has made in videos that sound very Surly-esque (Leeroy Jenkins, etc.).
I also wonder if any of the Whiskey Tribe/Whiskey Vault gang post on here, being based in Austin and irreverent enough to fit in with this crowd. Feel free to contribute your nominations, and if anyone feels like doxxing themselves feel free!
While the cause is noble, the image of the messenger detracts from its impact. Kind of like seeing a jorts wearing dude with a mullet out and about wearing Gators gear.
