  1. Yes, 4R, not BT. Brain fart. Not enough brown water in the system.
  2. Different strokes for different folks. Since BT uses two different mashbills and five different yeast strains for a total of ten different combinations, they have some variety to play with. I searched online to try to find the breakdown, but no luck. Small batch is a blend of several of those varieties, whereas single barrell is just one of them. The standard issue single barrels are always the same variety, but the private label single barrels can be any one of the ten. BT fanatics try to collect store picks of all ten for comparative (and bragging) purposes. Bottom line - drink what you like! If it's less expensive, then bonus!
  3. Took some effort, and likely a NSFW tag, but fitting for the subject matter.
  4. I officially spend too much time on this site. This meme was the first mental thought through my brain when I saw that update. Have some rep.
  5. Which Surly poster is going to post a pic of how far Buzz's vehicle is sticking out into the road?
  6. No offense, but I would have opted for something on the back table...
  7. Check out the ball on this guy! I'll show myself out...
  8. Hilarious, but in that situation probably the smartest choice to make.
  9. The interwebs suspect they are working on getting out of that App State deal. Don't want the embarrassment.
  10. You guys need LSU to pull off another classic early season ugly loss to make UT/OU the clear first choice.
  11. I am legit impressed she got up and walked away from that. She should buy lottery tickets.
  12. Wow, last post was a year ago! Do we know what happened to him?
  13. Consider a northern swing for a few stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail if you like brown water. Gorgeous country.
  14. Question from a TX native that hasn't lived there for 33-ish years - is Golden Chick connected in any way to the Golden Fried Chicken chain from back in the 1980's? I grew up in Mineral Wells, where Richard Stewart started Golden, built it up into a decent regional chain, sold it, sat out a non-compete, then started Chicken Express essentially re-inventing his chicken wheel. I have never laid eys on a Golden Chick, so I have no idea how similar or different their menu is to Chicken E. Thanks in advance!
  15. As bad as he has run Clemson lately, Bama won't take him.
  16. My daughter played up on an 18's team this year, so our nationals was last weekend. Feels weird being done with club season this early. Having to pay for private lessons to keep skills sharp in the gap before school tryouts later this month. I think she is enjoying the mental break, though.
  17. Agreed. Well done monochromatic look, and the mining history tie-in makes it work better for them than most.
  18. I'm tempted to contrast that reaction to this site's feelings towards the Titan's throwback Oilers unis, which are the best unis in the history of, well, unis, but I don't want to get negged into oblivion. Carry on.

    Getting old sucks

Oh, all good. I didn't actually have shingles in the eye, just some sort of aggrivation of the middle layer of the eye that they think was likely brought on by the virus. Don't you put that eye shingles evil on me Ricky Bobby!

Jerry has lots of good advice. Stretch way more than you think you need to. Low intensity, long duration, static calf stretches, both with your knee straight and with your knee bent. The night splint might be worth every penny (also works wonders for plantar fassciitis as well). But proper stretching is the biggest key. You do NOT want that bad boy snapping on you!
  21. Nah, the DDS is easier than that. Anything you can make a rap about... Caution: its annoying AF and a potent ear worm:
  22. That's awful. The only thing worse would to list in in binary.

    Getting old sucks

The shingles vaccine talk reminded to share this little nugget. Came down with zombie eye (just one) a few weeks ago. Got in to se an opthamologist and was diagnosed with uveitis (inflammation of the middle layer of the eye). Doc asked if I had ever had chicken pox, cold sores or shingles. D - All of the above. So, they suspect that this is yet another iteration of the herpes zoster poking up its ugly head. Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drops and Valtrex started. Went away in a little less than a week. Doc suggested I keep taking a lower dose of Valtrex for 3 months to try to knock the herpes as far back in the nooks and crannies as possible, but eventually, we will get to do something along these lines again. Oh, and I have had the modern shingles vaccine, so yay?
