    Tinnitus

I'm in, where's my t-shirt? One ear, non-stop, varying intensity, always the exact same very high frequency tone. Once I was at Dollywood with the fam and heard a machine whining at the exact same frequency. I asked the fam if they heard it, yes, of course. That is in my head 24-7. Minds blown.
  2. Some do, some don’t. I’m pretty sure the rules that govern those ads say if you don’t give the name of the drug, you don’t have to give the laundry list of potential side effects.
  3. Anyone who follows MedTwitter humor is probably familiar with Dr. Glaucomflecken (@DGlaucomflecken), an ophthalmologist in Oregon who makes parody videos poking fun at the medical profession. Not too long ago he had a cardiac arrest in his sleep. Lucky bastard’s wife was awakened by the sounds of his agonal breathing, called 911 and was coached through CPR by the 911 operator. Survived. While in the ICU at an in-network hospital, he was treated by an intensivist that was not in-network. Keep in mind, hospitality and intensivists are full time in-house, and he didn’t have a choice, he was not conscious. Cigna sent him the bill for the out of network charges. Being an ophthalmologist with plenty of free time, he spent hours fighting it and mocked Cigna mercilessly to his 300K+ Twitter followers. Eventually it went away, but not because Cigna paid the doc, because Cigna strong-armed the hospital to get the intensivist to eat the charges. There should be a law that hospitalists and intensivists on staff at in-network facilities are handled as in-network providers.
  4. FIFY. Anatomy and physics were not his friends that day.
  5. Nope. Assuming its just a straight change-out, and not adding or replacing any leads, it will be less. All based on the DRGs, like Sawbonz said. Don't get me wrong, the bill will still be higher than you think it should be, but not that high.
  6. Your syntax and your avatar match perfectly. Can’t help but hear this in my head in Ron Swanson’s voice.
  7. You just used a word that don’t mean nothin.
  8. I have yet to have any Michters offering that wasn't strong. Is there any variety that I should avoid to keep that streak intact?
  9. FYI, a second GA location off I-75 in Calhoun is under construction, expected opening this Summer. On a somewhat related note, QuikTrip is building a location off I-40 in Dickson TN, just west of Nashville. No other locations in TN at the moment. Both Whataburger and QT in Nashville definitely does not suck.
  10. Wife and I got him by chance on a public tour a couple of years ago. He’s fantastic for that gig!
  11. Just don’t call it bourbon while taking their tour. Technically it is, but them’s fightin’ words in Lincoln county!
  12. I heard that on a local (Nashville) TV news broadcast. Perhaps I mis-heard or they mis-reported, who knows. And yes, I’m new. Sue me.
  13. Not just some other person, they were friends. Saw this on local news over the weekend and wondered how long it would take to show up here.
  14. Google search confirms this.
  15. Been there, done that. They have some good stuff, but I'm not a fan of the charcoal filtering in general. Takes too much of the flavor wrinkles out, IMHO. Recently bought a bottle of a new local distiller, Daddy Rack. I'm not sure I could pick it apart from standard JD in a blind taste test. Not in a bad way, just identical to my palate. Weekend getaways to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail are more my thing. Oh, and thanks for the reply. I am more than a bit jealous of your collection!
  16. I'm not terribly picky, as long as it isn't Dickel. That multivitamin aftertaste is disgusting. And that is especially sad for me, because I drive within 2 miles of their distillery a couple of times a month and could pop in for special releases, etc. My wife came back from Colorado last year with something from Breckenridge Distillery, I was all excited until I tasted it. Obvious Dickel juice. I'm usually searching for the value/bang for the buck picks. Rarely buy a bottle over $60, and will regularly pay half that for quality stuff (OGC 114, EW BIB, etc.). Recently made a run up into KY to buy some KY only releases, and was very impressed with Old Bardstown BIB, unique flavor considering I had never tried a Willett product before. Apparently I'm a fan. Anything out of the Buffalo Trace lines is my wheelhouse that most new ones are judged up against. The hunt for something hard to come by without breaking the bank is almost as fun as the pour. Almost. Oh, and as for shipping? Negative, Ghost Rider.
  17. Long time lurker, finally registered and ponied up the treefiddy to escape the God-awful pop-ups. I wanted my first post to be in this thread, for symbolic reasons. I have made many a purchase based on reviews on this thread the last few years. I look forward to contributing my own moving forward. Now, back to the brown water.
