  1. The situation you described is literally what happened at Ohio St last year and they won the national championship.
  2. Cognitive dissonance is one of the most powerful human conditions. I just do not know how you convinced yourself that Sark, a former addict/alcoholic is incapable of falling off the wagon.
  3. Something is wrong with Williams. That knee injury has robbed him of his elite athleticism. He’s the safety version of Baxter to me until proven otherwise. We need multiple veterans brought in to the secondary next year.
  4. Outside of Wisner and Simon I think you can change over the entire room honestly. Cooper comes in as a true freshman and two transfers to compliment those three is how I would go. Do you have eye balls and have you watched any football this year?
  5. That’s meant to be we do not know who is going to win or lose ahead of us in the rankings. Prepare for A&M like the playoffs are on the line because they just might be.
  6. Baxter is a flop. His injuries have taken away all of his athleticism and I do not want to see him in a Texas uniform taking any NIL next year. Caleb Dawkins from North Texas needs to be a priority as soon as the portal opens.
  7. The no development argument is fucking stupid. There are plenty of things to be bothered about but we have seen a lot of great stories in player development. Just on this team we have seen Arch develop during the season to go along with players like Goosby, McDonald, Baker, Livingstone and January. The issue we had is when there was a gap like RB and OL we did not do anything in the portal to address the problem. And we also hired a defensive back coach who quite literally does not understand zone concepts. That was a comically stupid hire. But lack of player development is not the issue at all.
  8. We should get a veteran safety and corner. Next year there can be no excuses.
  9. We do not know what is going to happen outside of our game. Sark should be preparing the team like a playoff spot is on the line.
  10. These stupid narratives need to die. This site is filled with people who give a lot to help Texas win.
  11. I think in 2025 we are all past the point of needing a purity test from our coaches. We just do not want their lifestyle affecting their job performance. And we have pretty compelling evidence that happened this year at Texas. I still think the admin wants him here but they are absolutely going to strongly encourage/mandate changes. If Sark leaves it’s because he chose to leave or things spiraled out from here.
  12. No one I know ever talked to me about any of the rumors you mentioned. Other than the bizarre plane story about Herman’s wife but that was after he was fired.
  13. The people “indulging the rumors” are people with names on buildings. And those people are not prone to engage in gossip. I guess I glossed over a lot of posts but how many people are wanting him fired? The accounts I do not have on ignore are wondering if he leaves on his own.
  14. There is no good way to leave a school to take a job in the NFL or another school. Unless you go full on Lane Kiffin most people forget about the process in about five seconds.
  15. I have no problem if Sark’s aspirational goals were to go to Texas to build his resume to go to the NFL. If he left us for the NFL it meant he was successful at Texas and he kept his past demons in check. That’s an outcome we all can root for. That’s not something to be resentful about, IMO.
  16. What is obvious from this post is you have made no attempt to get involved with NIL, go to any functions or meet anyone on this site. If you had you would realize how ridiculous you look making statements like this. On top of that you spend a very large percentage of your time trying to dismiss everything you read here. It’s a very bizarre path you have taken.
  17. It is funny watching internet trolls like yourself project your insecurities onto people who actually have some insight into what is going on.
  18. Ha. Fair enough but I thought that went without saying. Yes it would be good for everyone involved if the personal stuff was resolved.
  19. The best thing he can do for everyone involved is win. That cures a lot of things, even if only for the short term. He also needs to be careful of accusing others of lying publicly because we do not want to go down that road.
  20. I can assure you that everyone I know including myself feels this shit is the last thing in the world that we want to be talking about now. If you feel like this has turned into TMZ you should direct that frustration at the personal responsible for this and that is Sark.
  21. This week I have been getting texts and calls from alumni that I know that are active in NIL and go to all of the events CDC and Sark go to and everyone is openly talking about rumors of Sark’s past demons returning on top of Jerry Springer-esque sex stories. These are people who get called by CDC to donate money. When he was hired we all had concerns over his sobriety issues reappearing but we were assured those were under control. The team is broken on the field right now for two main reasons and both of those reasons can be traced to a failed offseason (defensive back coaching hire and offensive line transfer portal decisions). Now we are learning our coach was potentially distracted by the very demons we were told were under control and that is potentially why 2025 is a lost year. There absolutely will be consequences and my guess is they have the required contract language to fire him for cause if they felt that was necessary. But from what I can gather they would rather he get his shit together and make major changes in the offseason. I have no idea if going 0-2 to finish the year changes that mindset.
  22. That was the place with the cheese grits, right? College guilty pleasure.
  23. The journalistic community? That’s not where information is going to come from. It’s going to come from coaches, players, agents and administrators. And Howard I am sure knows a lot of people in that world. But to be clear I am not suggesting that for sure he is right here but he damn sure knows a lot of people who could have heard something.
  24. You are being naive if you think Desmond Howard has no sources at the college or NFL level.
  25. It’s 2025 now. Having a coach that has this kind of stuff going on in his life with his past isn’t as embarrassing as it would have been 20 years ago. It’s only a problem if we continue to put up with it if it continues to affect the program.
