I find it hilarious that transfer portal rankings are mostly based on high school star ratings. A five star totally bombs out of two schools already but because he had five stars he must be the best.
Quinn put some God awful tape on the board including getting himself self sacked a few dozen times in his career. Combine that with the injury history and the inability to throw the ball downfield accurately and it’s pretty easy to see why teams passed. There isn’t a market for an effective short to intermediate passer who has the pocket presence of a tomato.
Jets and Raiders already pass on him in round 4. Raiders and Steelers still have a pick this round and if they don’t draft him here I’m wondering if Sanders goes undrafted.
This is exactly what I was told. And if he is doing that before he is drafted, imagine the trouble he will be when he is under contract. He’s simply not worth drafting.
I have a friend in the Bears organization that told me the story going around about Sanders is during an interview with a team, he asked them why he should play for their organization. Effectively demanding the team sell him on their franchise. It was do off putting that most teams simply removed him off their draft board entirely.
The perception on Sanders is that he is so entitled that no one believes he will do the work and be patient enough to be an NFL QB. I’m sure his father retiring his jersey just played into that perception. Someone will take him but only as a flyer to see if he comes is without that entitlement.
I’m not arguing with you that he could end up being better but it’s hardly shocking. Shocking would be Jayden Blue going ahead of him.
Hoping my Bears get Kaleb Johnson with one of these picks.
He was the one that fired him more than two years after the allegations surfaced at a moment where there was no chance of finding a suitable coach. It also opened up a window for everyone on his team to be able to transfer. Yes, Andrew Luck set the team on fire with the decision to fire him in the middle of the offseason.
