  1. Our expectations should be playing for the Big 12 title game at minimum. We are putting all eggs in the Ewers basket with different team expectations than what we were expecting during Ehlinger’s sophomore year. I really don’t want to hear excuses if we lose to Alabama or any other team in the first half of the year because of youth at a key position in year three of Sark’s tenure.
  2. Well, I never suggested Arch should be starting next year. So tell those voices in your head to stop making up arguments that have not be introduced in this thread.
  3. That wasn’t me blaming Ewers. It goes to the broader question of roster management of the most important position. Strong was miserable at managing this and I didn’t go around blaming David Ash or Tyrone Swoopes for Strong’s downfall as a coach. I’m curious to see how Sark manages his roster given the amount of money he will have to address any position of need.
  4. I had this debate last night with family- if you looked at it objectively, should Texas grab a one year rental/veteran QB in the portal to bridge the gap to Arch? Someone like a Devin Leary or equivalent or is Ewers showed you enough to base next year on his development?
  5. They hosted Game Day instead of it being in the Cotton Bowl. They are going to be 1-6 since hosting ESPN.
  6. Well, let’s focus on the Alamo Bowl and the transfer portal I guess.
  7. Not playing on senior day despite being healthy is not a good sign for him returning.
  8. Spencer Sanders has another year of eligibility if he wants it and apparently sat out today despite being healthy enough to play. Do we see him on another team next year?
  9. Baylor is a mediocre team without any real receiving threats and an average at best defense. If we lost to them at home it would have been a data point in the wrong direction. We beat every team we “should” have beaten with the exception of Tech. And we beat one team we probably did not think we would beat in K State. I thought we would go 7-5/8-4 but I also thought I would see our offense develop late in the year. Instead, it was the defense that did the developing. The defense to me is the reason for optimism but the the lack of development in the passing game is a concern. Ewers cannot be handed the starting job next year. He didn’t earn that right with his lack or progress this season.
  10. The 9.95 sunshine pumping platitude King is still Justin Wells. The man spewed so much flowery gibberish this offseason that you would think we were the 92 Cowboys.
  11. Yes the rare show inside blitz and blitz off the edge. The most exotic of all looks. Never seen since the 1999 Baltimore Ravens used to do it.
  12. Your mom.
  13. Not to mention he can walk in and be the the starter if he wants to.
  14. I cannot imagine he’s better than Arch. Truly hoping we have an open QB competition this spring.
  15. You just have to put the game in Ewers hands and not Bijan because it would be too easy to simply rely on your best players. Better to put the game on the shoulders of your struggling QB.
  16. ...how? Really? Maybe I should have used the Ewers fumble turned Baylor TD to sum Sark up. Coach Accountability refusing to sub out a struggling QB until he sucks the life out of every Texas fan alive. Even then, Sark wouldn’t pull Ewers.
  17. The two false starts followed by the struggling QB acting frustrated towards his own teammates punctuated by a fumble sums up Sark perfectly.
  18. Well, 7-5 is enough for Sark to not be on the hot seat?
  19. Ewers could rape a small child then take a giant steaming dump on the midfield logo and Sark wound not bench him. That’s accountability.
  20. Those two were espousing the virtue of Papa Fucking Sitos as legit Mexican food. On the next episode they will probably discuss how Five Guys serves the best hamburgers in the country. It’s hard to take someone seriously when they come with an all time shitty take on another subject.
  21. Obviously rooting for Kansas but Leopold seems like a whinny bitch. He’s like an elderly version of Matt Campbell. So if they lose I can at least laugh at the fact that a 6-6 team once hosted game day because they were 5-0 at the time.
  22. That Kansas team did not look like it could beat anyone let alone a good team on the road.
  23. It’s one thing to not know where to be but the piss poor effort tackling or recovering on plays in inexcusable. A trap door is in his future this offseason.
