  1. He is a Christian Scientist so I am assuming his religious beliefs have something to do with this. If a mandate is ever enforced I’m sure he will go the religious exemption route.
  2. We knew going into the season that we needed to show recruits some promising results on the field to have a chance to recruit at the level Sark and Banks were going for when they took the job. Since we sufficiently shat the bed, it’s the most important feature for recruiting right now. And as someone else said, there are some of us who do not want to share these sentiments on the football board for reasons that should be self evident. And some of us are frustrated AF and this has to be vented somewhere.
  3. He was fired 6 games into the second season under Riley. Considering the guy was the brother of the previous head coach and still held considerable influence over the AD, that is quite remarkable. I just do not see that happening here. I see some position coaches being encouraged to take other jobs at best.
  4. Ohio State and Oklahoma both made quick decisions in recent history on the defensive side when it was clear the DC was not equipped for the job. But, We’re Texas, I guess and we need to suffer multiple seasons of pain first before we state was is self evident about the guy we hired to anyone who is watching. The only reason people are not willing to see that PK is an abject disaster is the perception and salary he came with. Cognitive dissonance is a powerful force.
  5. I somehow managed to cope through the Strong fiasco and Herman had enough bright spots to keep me engaged. If we follow up 6-6/7-5 with no recruiting momentum, I’m not sure how I will cope with it. Our only hope is to buy recruits, clean house on the defensive coaching staff have some sort positive momentum going into next year.
  6. On the last drive against Oklahoma State, before we decided to allow them to score, we played 6 men in the box with both of our safeties more than 20 yards from the line of scrimmage when we had to defend the run at all costs. That’s when I knew this season was forsaken and our only hope was to drop bags of cash on recruits to be a good team again. I don’t care how we do it, but people involved in Texas football should act with the same desperation A&M did when they gave Jimbo 75M dollars. Its time for us to go full on Georgia recruiting machine and right now.
  7. If you are banking on a five game winning streak to close out the season to go 9-3, I would go ahead and reset those expectations now. Let’s just hope we look back on this like Nick Saban’s first year with laughter as we roll through whatever conference we are in next year.
  8. The new rule should be after triple OT the game ends in a tie.
  9. The rule change did not take into account two offenses allergic to scoring playing in OT.
  10. I would call this a cripple fight but that would be insulting to handicap people insinuating they would perform this badly on offense.
  11. I honestly just read a non sarcastic post suggesting that a position coach on our team would not accept a head coaching job that would likely triple his salary at the school he played for. Now I’ve read it all.
  12. Only a real man watches a 7-5 Texas team and likes it. Not like these faggots who complain when we get our ass kicked by a major powerhouse like Arkansas.
  13. bad_teammate is lecturing other posters on being delusional. That is much needed comic relief in this shit sandwich we are being subjected to by our coaches.
  14. Do that same exercise for the team we played yesterday. Their top receiver cannot even catch a ball effectively. Their offensive line is arguably even worse than ours. Coaching actually matters.
  15. The defense was certainly part of that equation. Oklahoma State’s offense is complete dog shit. The example I gave directly contradicts your notion that this debacle is about the players. The coaching, especially on the defensive side of the ball is criminally bad. I think people are suffering through a serious case of cognitive dissonance with our defensive coordinator currently. We made a horrific hire and despite the reputation he had coming in, it’s not a good fit at all.
  16. I saw our defensive coordinator call a two deep safety look when we had to defend the run at all costs in the fourth quarter against a team that could barely complete a forward pass. I would have relieved PK of his play calling duties immediately after the game.
  17. I’m glad you have convinced yourself that not being able to see things for what they are is some sort of sign of your immense manhood. But the rest of us pussies have realized what is actually happening and it’s not pretty and this is going to directly translate to recruiting.
  18. It’s not just one bad game, is the issue. So that’s not “sorta fair”.
  19. In our biggest recruiting weekend of the year, we decide to put on one of the most pathetic coaching displays I have ever seen from Texas coaches. PK’s fourth quarter calls are a fireable offense and I’m not sure Sark’s fourth quarter play calling was much better. I’m just glad we are not going to be in the SEC next year with this coaching staff. My last hope is all of the recruits watching today are not concerned about how badly this team is coached and are more attracted to the city and the campus. That’s all I have left for this staff. Blind luck to land elite talent to overcome this mess.
  20. The drive from the Denver airport is a mess. That’s the biggest downside. Real estate is a direct reflection of the quality of living. You show me a place with cheap real estate and tell me how badly you want to live there. The food scene has improved over the last ten years as more people have moved here.
  21. Colorado, man. Fuck that humidity nonsense without having to live in perpetual bad weather.
