  1. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/43624832/texas-tech-college-football-transfer-portal-nil-recruiting Tech just had the #2 transfer portal class. One of the Double Eagle founders helped to make that happen. I think if one of our boosters was willing to spend and had a huge bump in net worth it would impact our team. If Tech was willing to commit $1 million to a softball player, they might go even higher for a blue chip football player.
  2. I'm in the oil industry, and I saw an article that Diamondback is in talks to buy Double Eagle IV for $5 billion. Looks like those guys that helped get Canady to Texas Tech have even more to spend.
  3. I can't say I'm sorry to hear that ESPN rated OU's 2025 class as the most disappointing. Lack of star talent at QB, DB, and WR. They summarize the class by saying "In a conference that has seven teams among the top-10 classes and for a program that has made four playoff appearances, this class lacks the impact to propel them within the SEC and return them to national prominence." National signing day - Winners, losers and takeaways from 2025 recruiting - ESPN
  4. ESPN names 4 of our recruits as either 1 or 2 in the country at their position. Ffrench, Terry, Jonah Williams, and Terry.
  5. https://reg.uga.edu/general-information/calendars/academic-calendars/ Georgia’s deadline has passed, but I don’t know how that affects things.
  6. Supposedly it would have freed BV to do more head coaching things. Kind of like UT hiring an offensive coordinator to free up Sark.
  7. I chuckled at what this PSU fan said: I heard from an insider close to the family with insider knowledge. He believe Oklahoma offers both the best chance to win it all, and to be close to his family and friends he has made over the years. Oklahoma has exceeded the penn state offer and he is ready to accept. It will be announced shortly now.
  8. Their 2022 class, which was ranked as #1 all-time on signing day, was re-ranked by ESPN as the 25th best class of 2022.
  9. If you had your choice would you rather be the DC at OU, OSU, Penn State, or Notre Dame?
  10. https://amp.awfulannouncing.com/college-football/oklahoma-rivals-prematurely-reports-sooners-jim-knowles-ohio-state.html OU insider accidentally shows reaction video on YouTube before the hiring happened due to some loophole on YouTube.
  11. When do you think UT will start producing a continuous stream of NFL draftees at a certain position again? The last time I remember is maybe DB U during the Mack Brown years. What other universities would you now consider to be RB, QB, WR, LB, DB U etc.? I would have to say either Ohio State or LSU at WR.
  12. He played a part in us making the playoffs last year. His catch for Alabama against Auburn made our win against Alabama look better.
  13. It’s slightly painful to think about the what-ifs.
  14. So why would Knowles want to leave a team that has one of the largest NIL budgets in the country and a team that might win the national championship?
  15. Pretty amazing that a backup QB from Penn State could get a $1.5 million NIL offer. Also the same article said that Jackson Arnold’s offer was in the same range.
