  1. There’s nothing about The Gray Man and Citadel that would support returning to the Russos. Like Marvel in general they appear to mostly interested in spending tons of money on production budgets.
  2. Unfortunately that won’t resurrect the lost momentum towards a future Avengers. $375m-$400m for Anthony Mackie Captain is bananas. That said, maybe it’s a sign they really like the movie if they are willing to make a bet that big.
  3. Or he needs Harris to tell him she won’t seek the nomination. If Harris is willing to be VP on any of the speculated nominees tickets the whole thing would be so much easier. That said, and this sounds silly but it would settle some of the Kamala problem, get Oprah on board as VP for whoever.
  4. They did not cheap out on music rights this season.
  5. You shouldn’t be, the Gray Lady has turned into a click machine but tuned to anxious lefties instead of Fox News. I still read it every day but they avidly lean into hysterics.
  6. We finished it off last night. It’s not nearly as propulsive or compelling as the first two seasons.
  7. Love the trade-will be the second best shooter on the team after Sheppard. The only pick that would have been more fun would have been to draft Bronny James and then hold him for ransom.
  8. We got through ep 5 last night. Hate to say it but I’m a little disappointed. Best moment so far was a conversation between Carmy and Marcus in (I think) ep 1. Cameos are distracting, particularly episode 5. I don’t think it should take this long to figure out what the writers are trying to say.
  9. That’s where I first saw him, too. He loses it at times (you can hear the brogue come out), but I thought he really did a fantastic job with the Texas accent after seeing James Van Der Beek show off how a really bad one sounds.
  10. That was before he was on year one with a cadaver tendon holding his arm together.
  11. Let’s be real, which of those four don’t have big red flags in terms of reliability. Plus everyone keeps presuming, without much evidence, that Garcia and LMJ would both be useful in the bullpen if we suddenly have enough starters.
  12. I’d rather they make smaller moves at multiple positions, personally. Definitely a bat at first and those are normally cheap, and then a reliever/swing man or fifth starter type.
  13. 7 runs on 11 hits, where has this team been all season?!?
  14. I don’t how much stock to put in this, but several “insiders” on Clutchfans have made the claim that Stone is pretty easy to read via his media mouthpieces, i.e., if it comes from Iko or Feigen then it’s what Stone WANTS them to say. I realize this started with Woj, but I really doubt they want KD, it’s got to be about Booker.
  15. I’m not sure he’s with a whole lot more than $18m on the open market if he can’t get 140 innings in, anyway.
  16. That’s a really good point. We know there’s no one in their admin capable of keeping a secret.
  17. It probably helped to have one of the best defensive minds of all time overseeing their development, fwiw.
  18. I just think Vitello is a far less likely candidate and is at an institution that is fanatic about sports, rather than just being fanatic about being weirdos.
  19. It's the job of the state to be cultivating candidates. They should understand that the DNC is not their friend in this regard. I know you weren't making that claim, but that's hardly a model I'd be eager to mimic. Johnson is done when his term is up and he's going to be useful only as a Fox News contributor blaming the Democrats for everything.
  20. Oh, all the $9.95 and radio guys monitor this website and it's predecessors for content. The grind for it is never ending and no one is creative enough to self-generate day after day.
  21. I’ve read too many draft previews and I think I’m switching my preference from Sheppard to Castle. Castle can put pressure on Green to get more efficient, be his replacement, or maybe spend a little time at point in a big lineup. Sheppard is a better fit with this particular incarnation of the Rockets, but he’ll need to get a lot better on defense to be a starter for Ime and I don’t think the Rockets want to build a team that hides a defensive liability in search of offense. They’d prefer to sacrifice offense for defensive soundness. That said, man, 40% from 3 taking 5-6 shots per game would be really nice…
  22. I wouldn’t worry about that, his problem is no one is paying attention to his ads, regardless of message.
  23. At least personally, I’ve never had the patience to drink them so slowly the ice actually melted all that much.
  24. I know this isn’t the case, because CDC isn’t malicious and chaos isn’t befitting The University, but I have to admire the sequence of events that will ruin today for Aggies everywhere, regardless of the outcome this evening.
  25. This-it was inevitable it was going Dem, Allred was right place, right time (which can be a skill, quite frankly).
