  1. Hypothetically speaking, what would this cost if he didn’t go to South Carolina?
  2. On top of that, he seems like a really good dude based on his interactions with several fans. Hate to see it, but Father Time is undefeated.
  3. This is why I mentioned Chris Fetter in the HC Wish list thread. I personally think he was the driving force behind that Michigan run to the CWS title series, and he’s done a nice job with the Tigers’ pitching staff since he moved on. Think him leaving was a big part of Michigan taking a step back for Bakich before left Clemson.
  4. Another one of Jerry Rice’s kids?
  5. I hope someone steals the seat off the umps’ toilet, so none of them can take a piss. Fucking horrific job today.
  6. If you can’t trust an Auburn fan with Texas insider info, who can you trust?
  7. Terry would’ve come off a lot better if he’d had the self awareness to post this instead.
  8. Back when Luhnow was first hired, Law interviewed for “several” positions with the Astros and “decided to remain at ESPN.” Dude’s been pissed Crane and Luhnow didn’t want him ever since. Pretty much all the dudes Crane/Luhnow hired for those spots are now GMs, and Law (checks notes) is still writing because he hasn’t been hired by another team.
  9. Outside the box idea, but I’d like Chris Fetter to get a look. As pitching coach, he was the driving force behind Bakich’s great year at Michigan and has done a pretty good job managing the Detroit Tigers staff through youth and injuries the last couple of years. Obviously not the typical Texas hire, but his pitching coach resume is solid with big league, minor league, and college experience as well as serving as a big league scout. Rumor was he was the guy to replace Bakich at Michigan before he turned it down due to their mess of an NIL program at the time. He’s only 38, but I think he’s got a really bright future managing a college program at some point. In any case, I’d rather look his direction than Bakich’s.
  10. While I agree Thompson continued to get better as the season progressed and has way more upside, the stats comp between the two is really splitting hairs. Podziemski played 12 more games for a slightly better team and got the nod. It doesn’t change anything because we got the better player long term….and really something if his jumper can get to even league average.
  11. I’ve seen everything from WR to edge, excuse me, EDGE. Sounds like an OJ McClintock starter kit. Hopefully we let him settle in somewhere and go if he comes here. OJ was talented as hell, but never stayed anywhere long enough to maximize it.
