  1. Not protecting the ball in the RZ immediately after not protecting the ball in the RZ qualifies as a WTF TO for me. It was a really good play by the a&m defender as well but he did a really poor job of protecting the ball while scrambling. Hell the UGA QB got knocked the fuck out on his feet and held on to the ball.
  2. no need to play a limited Bond when Wingo is healthy. Give him 10 more days to heal up.
  3. I think the bigger issue with "what we lost last year" has more to do with chemistry & experience in the offense than with outright talent like some have argued. 2 years with Worthy, Whittington, Sanders. Brooks had 3 years in the offensive system so you're really only talking about AD being the complete new guy last year. Compare that with every receiver being new to both the offense & with QE and I think there's something to be argued. Moore is the only exception among the WRs and he hardly played last year. I think that's why QE & Helm have been the most consistent connection since Helm is in his 3rd year in the offense & played some last year. Bond has been down with injury since OU so consider he & QE have missed or played injured 3/4 of the season and it's no shocker that they don't seem to have much of a connection. It looks like Golden & Ewers are getting on the same page finally & Bolden has been making a big catch every game so that's nice. QE going down with injury during what should have been the games where the offense really found its groove, and then coming back against the 2 best defenses we faced while his #1 WR got hurt really threw a wrench into his season. That's not to excuse all the WTF moments QE has had since returning by any means. The a&m INT & fumble really stick out to me as mistakes that QE simply can't make but seemingly does every game (even if he gets away with them every now and then). I've been disappointed with QE overall but have been mostly satisfied by the season as a whole so it's hard for me to complain too much. He'll be remembered most by what he does in these playoffs. If he leads us to the championship then there will be nothing but praise and happiness from me, if he comes out and loses us the game vs. any remaining opponent then he'll slot in somewhere just under Sam on my list of UT QBs & I'll succumb to bitching about all the offensive talent that we managed to waste while he was starting while sitting on my couch drinking beer knowing full well my arm would fall off if I tried to throw a ball more than 10 yards.
  4. Brad Smith - QB for Mizzou... that's all I got
  5. He's been terrible all year. We had him for 3 straight weeks right? God that was awful.
  6. Holy revisionist history. Sam, while a longhorn legend and a brief glimpse of hope amidst a decade of pure QB trash, was nowhere near great. We're not in the Big 12 championship last year with Sam & let's not even start with David Ash. This is aggy level of delusion/wishcasting. You can point out all the flaws with Quinn you want, there are plenty to choose from, but that shit is just absurd.
  7. We'll see just how good some of these QBs are that have played different versions of nobody all season. Madsen sucked vs. UO, Rourke completely no showed OSU & wasn't very good against UM, Klubnik is known, Leavitt has feasted on some shitty Big 12 teams but that's not happening in the playoffs & he won't be able to lean on Skattebo avg. 6+ a carry, & Howards performance vs Michigan is enough to let me know he's still the same Will Howard and not anyone we should worry about. I don't know, just from what I've seen this season I'd still have Quinn in the 3-6 range. Gabriel is tops & then you can choose between Allar, Leonard, Howard, Ewers, Klubnik, & Jennings. Any of them could have a big game and lead their team to victory or be a turnover machine or just complete ass and cause their team to lose.
  8. Arch would help in the redzone, especially vs UGA, because our OL can't run block for shit against them. 56 yards rushing from our RBs on 20 carries isn't good enough against anyone and that is amplified when the field is condensed. Run the the zone read, or QB power with Arch and sprinkle in a couple of throws to keep them honest and I think we punch it in at least once given UGAs struggles. I'm completely flummoxed that Sark didn't have that ready to go given the success Arch had vs. a&m and the issues UGA has had defending it this year. That's not on QE, that's a Sark issue & an OL issue for not being able to get yards on the ground. Here's to hoping he was just saving it for the playoffs.
  9. I hated the play call, but I was hoping to continue running it down their throats. 3rd and 4, run the ball and if you get 2-3 yards you have a decision to make, otherwise take your points after a long and demoralizing drive. There wasn't a single option open on that play so the best case scenario was going to be Quinn throwing it away, instead he made a terrible decision & it got tipped to boot. I texted my brother that hopefully that was Quinn's last wtf turnover.. I was wrong. It seems he just can't help himself.
  10. It's something like this that tells me you either saw the play once and haven't watched it again to check your initial diagnosis, or you have seen it and are just digging in your heels while knowing you're wrong. LOS is the 12, first down is the 20, Bond turn at the 24-1/2. All DBs are turned to cover their WR, one LB blitzes, one LB races to cover Helm, one LB sticks around the LOS to cover the RB. Bond is 12+ yards down the field & QE never once even acts like he's supposed to be the hot route. He looks immediately to Helm who either doesn't diagnose it as quickly so he wasn't ready for it or was suppose to stop because he was the hot read and his guy blitzed. Maybe it was an off script split decision for him to throw it that soon and QE was hoping Gunnar would turn a beat sooner to be able to adjust to it because if QE leads him he gets blown up by the S or the S makes a good break on the ball and knocks it down or picks it off.
  11. Bond ran a 12 yard curl. That's hardly a hot route vs a blitz and, as you can tell on replay, Bonds man had turned his back and was running with him. Either they ran a shitty cover 3 where everyone looked like they were in man with a single high safety or they were in man and blitzed.
  12. If that's cover 3 they do a really shitty job at running it because all the defenders are locked up on their man & turning and running with them instead of covering their zones. One LB blitzes, one races to cover Helm, one stays to check the RB. If he reads the blitz then he doesn't run his route full speed but is instead looking at Quinn throw it to him. Looks like a great read to me & the 1/2 second you see of Sark talking to Quinn means shit unless you know what he said. For all you know he was telling him good read or telling him he missed the 1st down read or keep your head up or any number of things
  13. I can't unsee what happened in October either, but I think we got caught up in the hype and were sniffing our own farts a little. I don't think that's an issue this time & I think our defensive performance is more easily duplicated than theirs. 24-10 UT 30-120
  14. Ready to blow Helm up if QE waits another second to throw that. QE read that perfectly, the LB covering Helm was covering for the LB that blitzed on Helms side. He's having to come across the entire formation and there's no way for him to get there in time. If Helm would have read his guy blitzing and realized he was the hot read that's a first down and a big play if he can make Anderson miss.
  15. Or for the drones to run into each other causing them to crash to the ground, injuring innocent bystanders.
  16. This prediction worked well last week & I see this being a similar game. 31-15 UT 333 passing yards
  17. Sure hope Sark isn't thinking this way. We're looking at back-to-back playoff appearances not hoping for a Texas Bowl berth. If you find that enjoyable you should want us to get every 5* OL/DL out there. You think Kirby Smart is thinking "Oh I don't need another 5* OL/DL because I have enough"? Yeah, no. Too many injuries, busts, & transfers to not be trying to get the best of the best every year & since we're possibly losing both of our starting tackles we can't take any chances. Take all of the OL & DL prospects you can get and let them sort it out in camp.
  18. holy crap what a shit call
  19. Thomson not closing on 3rd down and then getting drug 6 yards into the end zone is just too obvious.
  20. auburn really about to auburn this shit up
