  1. Kiffin has the gall to take it. I would be shocked to see Sark or Lanning take it. They're in great spots, why leave to face the pressure of taking over for the greatest coach the sport has known?
  2. Scared of having to face Elko every year in the SEC championship game. The Wiggins hire was the straw that broke the camels back.
  3. playing 10+ yards off on 3rd and 8 on all of their WRs is certainly one strategy.
  4. oof that hurt. balls bouncing right to them on the times we actually defend them well is not great.
  5. imagine having penix and their WRs that have been abusing us so far and deciding to test Sweat + Murphy twice instead.
  6. lol penix + adunze aren’t going to be stoppable tonight. if we’re not going to get pressure we’re going to have to score 80
  7. our defensive line seems to be slipping a lot
  8. if we’re going to blitz and still give Penix all the time in the world this is going to be a looooong night
  9. He's the new Waddle. Every mention of a "surprise WR" commit will be responded to with his name. He will be on the minds of hundreds of Surly posters on their deathbeds, having driven them mad. Their families, pushed away with their obsession, will only be able to shake their heads as "E-Stew" is whispered during the final breath.
  10. Boromir killed off plenty of the Uruk-hai after the first arrow, but the writing was on the wall. No clue if it'll end up being an accurate analogy, just want to start an LOTR tangent if possible.
  11. Other than him not traveling to LSU, are there more stories of him being a cancer at a&m? I don't remember many/any but I don't keep up with everything. I know he hurt our feelings in his recruitment and when he didn't enter the portal last year, but, depending on what he's asking for, I don't see why we shouldn't at least kick the tires & see if we can't make it work.
  12. 1st & 10: Screen pass to Worthy blown up because Mitchell didn’t come to UT to block. (implosion imminent) 2nd & 12: Sanders to the flat. Well covered so Ewers tucks it for 5 yards. (3…2…1…) 3rd & 7: Ewers throws dig route complete to Mitchell for 10 yards and a first down. (we are the greatest team of all time) 5 plays later we punt and we start looking for our new OC during the commercial break and wondering just how many TDs Arch would have gotten us on that first drive and how big of a deficit he could lead us back from in the 4th.
  13. yeah but don’t you know every team we’ve played this year has run a completely new defense that they haven’t shown on film. Every week it’s something new that they managed to install over the week. One team went straight punt block for the first quarter.
  14. The beauty of this team this year is there are 4 legitimate threats to get the ball, but 4th & 10 with the game on the line I'm going Mitchell then Sanders because of their ability to catch ball with guys all over them.
  15. Agree. When one QB is completing 137% of his passes I don't see how his team wouldn't be favored.
  16. Yeah, MSU being complete dogshit is probably not a great example, but I get where you're coming from. Going to Tuscaloosa all anyone could talk about was how Bama was going to run it down our throats because of their dominant OL & our unproven DL. They barely broke 100 yards as a team. KSU averages 200 yards rushing per game and had 30 vs us and they had to completely abandon it. Same thing with OSU. It'll be one of the things to watch, but y'all don't HAVE to run it to beat us. KSU almost beat us with 30 yards rushing (of course Ewers wasn't playing & we gave them 3 short fields). OSU had plenty of success through the air and could have had a lot more. If we're stopping your running game with minimal issues then I don't think it changes just a whole lot. UW is well in the 100's in terms of how often y'all rush, though you do have decent success when you do run. So if we stop it, not a big deal for y'all & par for the course for us. If y'all are running the ball well enough for us to have to commit extra bodies to stop it then that's the recipe for a shootout or a beatdown depending on how accurate Ewers is.
