  1. UT: 56 KU: 20 yards given up: 444 Watts gets beat a time or 2 & the backups give up some yards & points but we make up for 2021 in a big way.
  2. Man, the 8-1 conference record in 2020 & the non P5 schools are doing a LOT of heavy lifting in that graphic. It would be much better depicted as a wreck before 2020, then have the 2020 car with a mask over it to cover up all of the flaws, then 2021-present should just be a raging dumpster fire.
  3. It'd be nice if PFF tracked that stat. It can be a little tricky to determine what qualifies as a drop but at least there'd be an idea. I remember during the first quarter (at least I think it was the first quarter) a graphic came up that said our WRs had 8 dropped passes through 2 games. That doesn't seem optimal & there were at least 4 straight drops vs. Wyoming and maybe another 1 or 2 depending on how hard you're going to be on the WRs. They make some excellent catches & drop some easier ones. Either way, it's not all on Quinn, he needs to be better as does the OL & WRs/RBs/TEs
  4. Auburn sucks, Arky is meh, Tennessee has taken a very large step back, MSU is meh, Bama is good with Milroe but really really bad if they try to force-play one of the other QBs. This is the year that a&m SHOULD contend for the SEC West. They get a weak Bama @ home & the rest of their SEC schedule is meh other than maybe OM (if they're not fools gold) & LSU. If there were a year for a&m to go into the final weekend with a trip to the SEC championship on the line it should be this year & there's not a single person with a brain that's anticipating it much less betting on it. Why? Because they suck. Their HC sucks. Their DC sucks. Their OC sucks. Their locker room culture sucks. Their depth sucks. Their vaunted "Spirit of Aggie-land" home field advantage sucks. Their only guaranteed win the rest of the year is ACU & hopefully that plays out exactly how UMASS did last year with no one in the stands because of how bad they've been all year. Every other game is going to either be aggy as the decided underdog or a coinflip of "who's going to suck less today". They'll probably pull a few of those out (Auburn, maybe USCe, & Arky) but 8 wins is a streeeeetch right now. I could talk myself into 7 if they stay relatively healthy but 6-6 or 5-7 are not longshots by any means & any sort of injury at QB, OL, S, LB, or Stewart could derail their mediocre season in a snap.
  5. KSU is beatable at home as we saw vs. Mizzou but I don't think y'all will. ISU, WVU, UH are varying levels of ass right there with ya so it'll depend on who is less ass on that given day.
  6. 38-12 UT 320 yards. Fuck that toilet bowl stadium
  7. Maybe he's going to keep it all vanilla until Bedlam and then unleash it all vs. the Sooners in an attempt to hold scoreboard for the foreseeable future. Sacrifice essentially the entire season for one game to try & stick it to big brother. Would a 4-8 or 5-7 season with that win to top it off be worth it to fans?
  8. With Casey fucking Thompson, Cade Brewer, Marcus Washington, Joshua Moore, & a shit OL. That was Worthy's coming out party though.
  9. Holy shit. It's like Bobby Boucher on 10x speed
  10. If good OL & Ewers show up again then this thing is going to get out of hand early. If one of them struggles it'll look a lot like the Rice game & probably end up with roughly the same score barring ST or D scores. I hope Sark continues to let Ewers build confidence, especially on shot plays, & this thing is put to bed before half.
  11. Worthys original route had him heading to the sideline at about about the 10 yard line. It was too flat to catch the ball in the endzone & would have required a more difficult throw to get it to him in time for him to be able to turn up field & run. Quinn's throw would have been better placed on the other side of the "A" in the endzone but the route made the catch more difficult than it had to be, the throw was really good & gave Worthy plenty of time to adjust his route to be able to catch it over his shoulder instead of directly over his head. It's not to say the route was run incorrectly either, that may have been a split second decision by Quinn when he saw the safety drop & knew Worthy was 1v1 & had already beaten his man to take a shot at the TD instead of the route that had originally been called. If that's the case that makes the throw & the adjustment by Worthy even more impressive since it was all done in a split second. Either way it was a great throw & a great adjustment/catch as well. There's no need to downplay either aspect of it.
  12. The TDs to Worthy & Mitchell were great catches no doubt, but they required great throws as well. The first deep shot to Worthy was a bad throw & certainly gave me a bad feeling, but the TD was money. Worthy was flattening the route too much & it was going to get him into the sideline way too early, Quinn threw it with plenty of air so Worthy had the time to adjust his route & still be able to catch it over his shoulder instead of his head. That was an absolutely excellent throw & while it could have been more towards the numbers Worthy's route made it a more difficult catch than it had to be. The bubble screens were on time and in front of the receiver to allow them to run up field as they were catching the ball every time except maybe once. One high slant to Worthy (that he still could have caught), the first deep shot to Worthy, & one in the dirt (I think it was to AD) were the only uncatchable balls. The deep shots were all excellent (other than the first one as previously mentioned) & both fades (one to AD & one to Worthy in the endzone) were damn near pinpoint accurate & displayed why we shouldn't be throwing those types of passes to Worthy. Ewers absolutely rose to the moment & the only question he needs to answer now is if that was the exception or the new norm.
  13. about to have a Joe Burrow like rise this year. I don’t k ow if he’ll surpass Williams as the #1 pick but he’s going to go in the first round if he plays like that all season
  14. 1st throw to Worthy was a beat too late & should have been a TD & should have been Pass Interference at the least. 2nd throw was an absolute dime while rolling right with a defender bearing down on him. That's an elite throw and only Whittington being Mr. Hustle & bringing his defender with him stopped that from being a highlight throw & catch. 3rd throw was high & would have killed JT against P5 competition. Should have thrown it right as he passed the LB but waited too long & threw into traffic 4th throw had too much air under it & was, again, about a second too late. Play-by-play guy said it got caught in the breeze. No clue if that's correct but, if it is, Ewers should have known that & thrown it with even less air. That was a pop-fly of a pass 5th throw he got blasted with pressure up the gut immediately from the OL. Let it go super early & Mitchell broke to the inside instead of the outside 6th throw again with pressure up the middle after the play action & threw off his back foot. With how open AD was he probably could have thrown it as soon as he turned around- should have been a TD, should have definitely been Pass Interference. All in all his deep shots weren't ATROCIOUS & only throwing 6 of them the entire game (one of them an improvisation) isn't nearly as bad as some of y'all make it out to be. His most common problem seems to be waiting a beat too long to let it fly - especially to Worthy who's fast enough to track it down normally. That's the opposite of what he was doing at times last year where he was throwing it so early the WR hadn't even turned around yet & had no idea QE had even thrown it to them. He certainly needs to hit on 1/2 of them if we have any hope of having as successful of a year as we're all hoping to, but just in reference to that game I'm much more concerned with how dogshit our OL looked.
  15. Fatheree got absolutely abused on that play. Yikes. If that were to happen to either Jones or Banks this week I'm pretty sure I'd adjust my thoughts on how the season would go.
  16. Feeling Angry Fist Oneself Females Always Forego Oral Freaky Attire Freaks Opponents First Anniversary of Fierce Orgasm Fucking Awesome Fabulous Oppenheimer Honestly there's really no telling which one it could be
  17. If we win vs. TCU then we're in the Big 12 championship & then facing Bama in the Sugar Bowl so, yeah, I'd think that would change the narrative quite a bit.
  18. Let's list the ones who ended their dealings with Texas. a&m: Tired of playing little brother in the Big 12 they decided to... be the little brother of the SEC West. More money for the same results they were getting which is actually pretty good business if you ask me. The fact that they paint a good business decision as "we ran away from Texas because they're mean" has always struck me as odd, but aggy will always aggy. Neb/CU/Mizzou: Escaped big bad Texas to find complete irrelevance & arguably became the worst athletics departments of their respective divisions (at least in the sports I know about). Congrats to them I guess? That's it. That's the list. a&m is free to end their dealings with us again if they so choose, & I don't think a single SEC school would miss them should they choose to do so. I'd love it if they would come back to the big 12 to really complete the "we hate Texas because ________" vibe that y'all have going on. You could name your new conference "Fuck Texas" & your media days could just be a giant circle of coaches and ADs passing around a doll to show the world where UT hurt you. No one is shocked that you think of us as the asshole, I'm sure plenty in the Big 12 agree. Y'all can sit around and tell the newcomers stories of how you stuck it to big bad Texas that one time "x" years ago while fading into obscurity.
