  1. They'd have to modify their acceptance requirements which is probably the biggest hurdle.
  2. Texas One Fund Recruiting Notes 2025: We've got the money, honey, if you've got the.. 5* athlete
  3. The "way too early" weather forecast calls for mostly sunny with a high of 97. 113 is the "real feel" (obviously much hotter on the field) so, yeah, pretty idiotic & extremely dangerous.
  4. That shit is awesome. Go take a nap so you can be sure & get to Furr's by 4.
  5. Have to think this only helps our chances with Simmons.
  6. Wow. Dig up those old tweets/posts about how this was ironclad back when it was first released & put it next to this tweet. Shot --> chaser.
  7. Because they may or may not help to keep/get ND & have shown enough juice in football for the last 15 years to make it worth a gamble on a 1/2 share. If they don't pull ND then the next TV deal isn't going to keep FSU or Clemson & the ACC likely crumbles anyways.
  8. Seems like they should be more worried about us taking the best 2 prospects in LA than what we are/aren't signing in TX.
  9. But why would ESPN ever agree to Stanford, Cal, & SMU getting a full share to begin with? Even half a share seems too generous for Cal & SMU.
  10. Dear ACC, The bell tolls for thee
  11. If I were a football fan in the Big 12 I'd certainly want Utah but I wouldn't mind leaving ASU to kick rocks, especially if you're having to drag them kicking & screaming. As long as they can get AZ for basketball & UT for football they've scored a nice haul & can load up on more ACC teams to help fill in the Eastern portion of their conference map.
  12. Have some self respect? You have no idea what you're getting yourself into do you?
  13. Some, mostly older, horns care a whole lot about horns down. They take personal offense to it as if someone just spit on their wife. The overwhelming majority find it annoying and obnoxious at most & are generally unmoved by it except to point out when it's done at random sporting events where UT isn't involved. "Welcome to the Big House where Michigan is slated to host Northwestern" *pans to crowd to see 2 or 3 horns down* I always find those to be fairly amusing & it serves to reinforce the fact that you can either love us or hate us but you can't hide the fact that you're obsessed with us.
  14. In fairness to OSU, their stadium was under construction this year. Their capacity was only 26k & it says they averaged 28k in attendance so I'd imagine it was a pretty decent atmosphere. Their new capacity is 35k so it'll be interesting to see what their attendance looks like this year. Anyone actually watch any of their games to know what the attendance & atmosphere was actually like?
  15. I can't wait for the hysteria the moment FSU has one of their games on the CW. The reactions are going to be glorious.
  16. Yeah I don't disagree with much of that, my point was ESPN has no need for FSU in the SEC right now. Paying Clemson & FSU $23mm/year is highway robbery & they have them under contract for 13 more years & they get a little ND football in there as well. If FSU wants to test the GOR then they're more than welcome to but all repots point to that being ironclad. There's no need for ESPN to touch the ACC until the SEC media rights are up (2034) which is close enough to the ACC rights being up that it makes sense to try & consolidate the most important brands & leave the rest to be scooped up by the Big 12 & G5 conferences. The ACC is absolutely next, but unless the school has the money for the ACC exit fee + GOR they aren't going anywhere for another 10 years.
  17. I think ESPN holding the rights to the ACC & SEC makes it more difficult for FSU to get out right now. ESPN has no reason to bring them over to the SEC when they're paying pennies & have more than enough exposure in the SE, they don't move the needle anywhere close to UT/USC/or ND so the need to try to lock them up long term & the potential marquee matchups they provide don't apply, & there's no amount of inventory to give ESPN in order to work out a reduced buyout & I don't think FSU has the money to pay the 13 years left on the deal. The only ace in the hole is if FSU could convince ND to come to the SEC with them which seems incredibly unlikely but that would be the only thing that may give ESPN reason to consider it.
