  1. From bottom to top: #43 - Definitely gay & loving every second of this #42 - Just came #40 - Not sure how he feels about this, but it's a nice change of pace from sheep #42 - May not be so sure of his preferences anymore #45 - Doing it just like daddy taught him #28 - Forgot to cut the hole in his pants so he's just dry humping Not Pictured #44 - Trying to convince the coach to let him start. Seems to be working..
  2. The Beebe/Bowlsby 1-2 punch was something the Big 12 is lucky to have survived.
  3. The thing about being "the top 3-point shooting team" is that it's a lot more difficult to shoot 3's when someone is in your face 99% of the time. When you play lesser competition for 30 games you don't have to worry about that, but the guards that UT has this year they're going to make the shooters earn it making it more difficult to get separation & then running them off the line when they do find a little space. Same thing with Funk at PSU. He made everything vs a&m because he was wide open for much of the first half. By the time he got a few good looks vs UT he was so out of rhythm he couldn't make them.
  4. ESPN would be pretty dumb to do anything until closer to 2036, but once the ACC deal is up they're going to have to make a decision. Adding 4-5 of the more popular brands (UNC, UVA, Clemson, FSU, UM) at $100mm/year to the SEC & pushing 4-5 second tier brands (NCST, VA. TECH, PITT, Duke) to the Big 12 that they split with FOX 60/40 currently would save money. Even if they give the Big 12 a bump to $50mm/school/year they're still saving money when compared to paying the Big 12, ACC, & SEC what they'll all push to be paid 10 years from now. Obviously FOX, CBS, NBC, will have some say in who goes where & when, but it would behoove them for the big brands of the ACC to breakoff as well. They can snag ND & give the SEC a run for its money with UVA & UNC & they can get the best content without paying top dollar for Syracuse, GA TECH, & WAKE. At the end of the day it's be an interesting game of chess between the conferences & the TV partners but I think both of them would prefer to cherry-pick the top brands at that point.
  5. Geez, sounds like they're getting the Hayes Faucett edit ready & are about to remove all Pac 12 references from their instagram & twitter. "Respect our decision" tweet incoming...
  6. It'll be interesting to watch which conference will attempt to negotiate separate deals for football & basketball + the rest. I don't know that it's going to happen the next time around, but it feels like it's coming & schools like UNC, UVA, & Duke are going to be uber valuable if/when that happens. If those 3 move to the SEC or B1G it'd be worth a shot. Obviously the weekend games won't do much during the NFL playoffs, but the weeknight games in January with no more college football, MNF, or TNF & the February content should prove pretty valuable if you schedule it correctly.
  7. Looks like we got screwed on the 7/10 opponent but I like having Xavier & Houston over any of the other options at 3 & 1 which should be what matters because we better not lose to fucking aggy or pedo-u. That said, I don't know shit about fuck so whatever.
  8. In their defense, the a&m guys don't usually have much to cheer about so their somber, defeated attitude seem much more professional.
  9. and I think they'll continue to do it until they're forced not to. I think it's more likely that the meh G5 schools get dropped than the SHSU & Citadels of the world get dropped. 1 decent P5 & 2 FCS cupcakes OOC along with 9 SEC games is what most of the schools will do. I'm sure our OOC will continue to be mixtures of Rice, UTEP, UTSA, & other easy victories, even if they aren't FCS class opponents. I do wonder if ESPN won't stipulate in the new contract that there has to be "X" number of SEC conference games or P5 matchups per week to keep from having everyone schedule that kind of game at the same time in order to keep the inventory of games top-notch. I would imagine they would want at least 4 matchups to choose from any given week to make sure they have at least 1 game worthy of primetime.
  10. Most SEC teams play either 2 cupcakes & 1 meh school or 3 cupcakes each year to go along with a P5 school. Adding an SEC game isn't going to take away the fact that they (we) have cupcakes, they'll (we'll) just have less of them most likely.
  11. The PAC12 GOR is over next year so there are no exit fees & no need for the conference to formally fold right? The "culling" would be more of the ACC simply not inviting the science nerds to sit at their table. If the ACC formally invites the 4 corners, UW, & UO that gets the ACC to 20 with each time zone represented & plenty of travel partners for the Western schools to not feel like WVU did in the Big 12. ESPN no longer has to worry about paying the PAC12 jack shit & the ACC can, presumably, take their TV rights back to the negotiating table with such large expansion. ESPN would either be forced to pay up or risk FOX getting involved at a later date. The biggest issues would likely be WSU & OSU wanting to tag along & politics that may get involved, but they don't seem like the type of fanbases that really care anyways so I don't see it. This would be one of the few ways that ESPN can get WC inventory & the ACC could satisfy its bigger members, at least until 2036 when they may bolt anyways. The remaining 4 Pac teams can invite all the misfit toys they want, sell their rights to Amazon & relish in the fact that they're so smart they pissed away tens of millions of dollars annually.
  12. I don't think you're fucked at all. I just don't think the changes that have come should be easily dismissed by teams facing the disadvantages that your school faces. Hopefully, there are a group of people figuring out how y'all can lure the same talent you've been getting & figuring out how to keep that talent for 4-5 years so that you don't become a farm system for the bigger schools. I really do hope so because in the new Big 12 OSU will likely be the team I pull for the most in football.
  13. That's a fair point 5 years ago & even now as most NIL is just getting going. How many 4* do they get while recruiting against OU & UT by offering playing time? How many do they get vs. second & third tier teams around the country that they're on mostly equal footing with in regards to program status & location? Now, how is that going to change when UT is offering $50k+ minimum NIL for every roster spot + the availability of corporate deals if they come in & become starters vs. what OSU has to offer? What happens when OSU discovers a bunch of those under-valued HS players but can't afford them after their sophomore year because literally any and every B1G & SEC team can afford to pay them more or they can play closer to home (Dallas, Houston, wherever else OSU recruits) & they can make as much/more there? Have you been watching their portal attrition this year? Maybe a lot of that is players not jiving with probably the best coach OSU has ever had (that may be an issue in and of itself), but how much more is it that OSU can't afford their best players & they're leaving to make more money? That's a big change & the longer it goes on the bigger the ripple will be. Just look at the new Big 12 Houston - better location more corporate sponsors TCU - ditto UCF - ditto Cincinnati - ditto (even though I personally don't like Cincy) TTU - New boosters with F you type of money - we'll see how long they intend to fund TTU athletics, but the start looks promising BU - no clue about NIL but certainly closer to home for most Texas recruits BYU - no clue but they seem rabid enough. Does/Can the Mormon church or any of the companies it owns help? WVU/KSU/KU/ISU - probably going to be the group that OSU falls into with the obvious exception of KU MBB That's just the BIG 12. It's not just the blue chips that are going to be paid & that line of thinking is exactly how you end up behind the curve.
  14. He donated $600mm+ in 20 years - probably not all direct to athletics, but I'm sure athletics benefited in some form or fashion from the vast majority of it. I'm not saying he was your only donor, I'm saying he was y'alls Phil Knight with the kind of "F you" money & dedication you need when you don't have any advantages. You live in a place that has few D1 recruits, you're already second fiddle to an in-state blue-blood, you have very little history, & now you don't even have the ability to tell recruits "come here and beat up on UT & OU for not recruiting you". I'm not here to speculate on the demise of OSU, but acting like nothing is going to change when UT & OU are pulling in triple what you are from TV revenue alone & you no longer have a T Boone to help make up what's lost while enjoying no inherent advantage of any sort seems a little optimistic to me. You LITERALLY announced a plan with almost $0 funding (ETA: $55mm was previously raised for upgrades to BPS, so $270mm)- it even says that in the announcements. “I think it’s a great day for the future, but it is really just a roadmap,” Weiberg said. “This is the plan, and as we’ve talked internally, with our team, [senior associate AD] Larry Reece and [deputy athletic director] Reid Sigmon and others involved, we’re very aware that now is when the work begins. This is just the start. Now, the real work begins both in the fundraising and acquiring the resources, but also in the next steps of the planning and construction. This will be a long process, but you got to start somewhere. Today is the start.” “So as far as the timeline, we don’t have one specifically for a couple of different reasons,” Weiberg said. “One, this will all be predicated on gathering the resources needed to do these, but regardless, it’s a years-in-the-making project. Even if we had all of the resources readily available now, you can see that these projects will take a lot of time to design and plan for and build. The timeline will be set by how we are able to gain the resources.” Kinda like how I have plans to buy the Dallas Cowboys from Jerry Jones for a price even he couldn't refuse, just waiting on a few big donors... The road map is there, can anyone spot me $20 billion?
  15. Those aren't a pimple on T Boone's ass when it comes to donations & with the ever-widening gap in TV revenue your school is going to need a LOT more than $20mm gifts here & there. Personally, I'd suggest y'all start a powerball group with a written agreement to give 3/4 to OSU athletics. That could help if you hit one of the big ones.
  16. Did they raise T. Boone from the dead or is there another oil tycoon that we haven't been introduced to yet that is ready, willing, & able to fund the facility &, now, NIL arms races?
  17. Probably one that TTU or KU has already started...
  18. So is Aragorn the B1G that comes in, saves the PAC 12 momentarily while killing the Big 12 expansion & then going & tracking down UO & UW w/ USC as Legolas & UCLA as Gimli?
  19. Would the SEC want 3 teams in the same state that the rest of the conference recruits so heavily? Would they prefer the B1G gain a foothold in their territory because they passed on one of them? Neither of those sound like great outcomes for the SEC so it'll be interesting to see which they pursue hardest. Is there a way for the SEC to get FSU & hope the B1G doesn't go after Miami due to B1G snobbery & watch Miami go to the Big 12 which already has UCF in-state? That would probably be best case for the SEC along with adding UNC & maybe UVA & Clemson.
