  1. I was thinking this was a legit post & not sarcasm until this part. What HS kid would want a lambo deal when the sunflower seed money is there for the taking? Between that & porta-potty money I don't see how lambos & Wrangler deals stand a chance.
  2. lol at least a&m went to a big 12 championship. TTU & KU are the only members to have never attended one of those. I'd put my money on one of the new schools playing for it before TTU sniffs it, even with their 20+ year head start.
  3. Oh absolutely the same, it's pretty crazy they almost got rid of him. I'm pining for the days of 10 wins & national relevance & would even enjoy a pitstop there for several years if needed.
  4. Again, the OP wasn't "what was Harbaughs resume" it was "Michigan has sat atop a shitty conference". I understand there's a lot going on in this thread, but if you're going to try to have any sort of reasonable dialogue (lol I could barely type that out with a straight face) at least try to stay on topic. If you'd like to talk about resume, I have no illusions of grandeur about Sarks resume & any argument of "he took a shitty Washington program & took them to a bowl game" was wiped out when he blew the RRS & was embarrassed at home by KU. I'm sure there are plenty of people blindly following Sark, I'm not one of them, I'm just of the opinion that 9-3 with a CCG next year would be fine with me. If that's not fine with you because it's a year late & a win short then that's fine. The likelihood of it happening at all seems pretty small but TCU being 11-0 & firmly in the CFP with a week & a CCG to go didn't seem very realistic in August, September, October, or most of November & yet, here we are.
  5. The OP wasn't what is "Harbaugh's resume" it was "Michigan sits atop a shitty conference" which was wrong on every level imaginable until last year, year 7 of Harbaugh. A year after he had to completely restructure his deal in order to stick around & not get fired. They finished better than 3rd in their own division exactly once prior to last year. If there's dumb shit in this thread it's because you stepped in it on your way in today & have drug it across every page. OSU has sat atop the Big 10 much like OU in the Big 12, Bama in the SEC (though UGA is starting to break the stranglehold), & Clemson in the ACC. Outside of the PAC 12 every conference has had a daddy for the last decade. We're not the Big 12 daddy, OU is. We're not OSU & expecting Sark to become OSU in 2 years is a bit absurd. There's nothing wrong with slowly climbing our way back to the top so long as we're making progress. That would be what Michigan did & it worked for them. I'm not advocating for waiting 7 more years, hell I'm not saying he should get a 4th year at this rate, I'm just saying if he goes 9-3 next year & is in the CCG that's legitimate forward progress. Again, just to be clear, I'm not saying he's going to accomplish that at all. I'm far from a Sark apologist & last year was an embarrassment, but if he follows 5 wins up with 7/8 & then follows that up with 9 and a conference championship appearance why are some fans not willing to accept it? Because he has 1 loss too many? That's idiotic considering what the last 13 years have looked like.
  6. It took Michigan 7 years to "sit atop" a shitty conference with Harbaugh. Before that they placed second in their division once & 3rd or worse 5 other times. I would expect Sark would have to make the conference championship game before year 7 in order to stick around.
  7. 4th* & 5th* & that doesn't make it THAT much better because winning percentages only gets you so far. The point is well received that Sark has not been good so far, & I'm certainly not one to argue that he has been. I'm just trying to say if he can win 9 regular season games & make the CCG next year that's not a bad year. If he beats BU & wins the bowl game, then goes 9-3 next year his winning percentage will be the same as Hermans heading into his 4th year. Sark will have a .622% DKR was at .688 & Mack was .710 heading into their 4th years. Obviously he has as much of a chance (probably more of a chance) of losing to BU & only winning 7 or 8 next year in which case he'll likely be fired or at least have a very short leash in his 4th year & we can screw up another hiring process while heading to the SEC.
  8. Are you under the assumption that our recruiting will somehow get WORSE if we win more games, show more consistency, & make the Big 12 championship game next year? Herman isn't our coach anymore so I don't see how that would happen but yes, if Sark somehow manages to become Herman & pisses off every donor & top recruit he comes in contact with his time is probably deservedly short.
  9. By that list DKR & Mack are our 9th & 10th best coaches.
  10. The OP was 10 regular season wins.
  11. Judging by the history of Texas football you're likely to be disappointed. Can't wait to read all the posts about how Sark isn't meeting a standard that's been fairly elusive at UT dating back to 1900. Should be a fun season. He's either as good as the best 2 coaches in our history or we should give up on him in year 3 because he only won 9 games & made the conference championship game? Is that the train of thought here? I'm not convinced that Sark is the guy at this point, but if the team is improving & the results on the field are improving it seems fairly ridiculous to give up on him because he hasn't ascended to DKR/Brown levels by year 3.
  12. I agree with this, but if we're 9-3 and in the CCG I'll accept it.
  13. The primary problem with what Herman left on offense was that they were players recruited for his offense & not Sarks. Sarks offense requires different skillsets & attributes at every position other than Bijan & Sanders (Sark uses Sanders better than Herman would have but he's technically a Herman recruit). It's not that they are shitty players, though I do think Sark has raised the overall talent of this side of the ball by a bit, they just weren't the right players for the offense we currently run. Obviously not something you can hold against Herman, it's just the pains of going from one offensive system to the other. Defense is another story. We have young talent but we're going to need lots of pieces from the portal &/or rely on TRFR starters & they're all going to have to be ready to hit the ground running. It'd be nice to get Ford back as well as Collins & Broughton back & for both of them to take steps forward like Coburn & Sweat did this year. Seems like a lot to ask at the moment though.
  14. Imagine going to that game, as bad as it would be with the terrible teams, weather, time, etc. & then purposefully sitting in your assigned seats at the top of the stadium instead of moving down closer to the field. That's a special kind of dumb
  15. KSU & OSU need another loss. KSU: @WVU, vs. KU OSU: @OU, vs. WVU Obviously we'd have to beat KU & BU for it to matter.
  16. oh my word they're going to lose to UMASS & I am here for it.
  17. On one hand, we need OSU to lose a game if we're going to go to the CCG. On the other hand, fuck OU. What a decision.
  18. Idiot didn't realize it was a Surly poster trying to figure out the angles for the TCU dance team
  19. They made rings for 2nd place in the SEC & losing in the semi-finals? Is that worse than engraving the LSU score on their bowl rings? The levels of aggyness are starting to blend.
  20. LOL. The best NIL presentation gets 0 publicity & is purposefully opaque? yeah, that's not NIL.
