  1. ho.lee.shit. That's some grade A ass kissing. Also, just for the record, from when BV left Norman for Clemson: "Venables announced late Wednesday night he was leaving, only a few hours after he told head coach Bob Stoops and others that he was staying." https://tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/ou/emotions-high-as-brent-venables-leaves-ou-for-clemson/article_6aeb78c6-6502-5096-9865-d536b7abd010.html You know, trusting his word based on his track record *slobber* *slobber* *slurp*
  2. "I'm not gonna blow smoke up your ass, but spread'em wide because I just took a big hit."
  3. I remember having this exact conversation with my brother re. Strong. No, no, no, not similar - exact. The only thing y'all have going for you right now is that Lebby isn't a known dumpster fire of a hire like Watson was. He may well turn out to be just that, or he may be mediocre, or he may be actually decent, no one really knows at this point but it won't take long to figure out. The only thing we can say fairly certainly is that he isn't LR & it will absolutely be a big drop off.
  4. Maybe my favorite part of OU fans excited to see (or okay with) Riley leaving because he had me this ceiling. Winning the conference every year, multiple heismen & overall number 1 picks, numerous first round picks, one of the best offenses every year, NYE6/playoffs every year... That's a hell of a ceiling. As someone who was ready to see Mack Brown leave only to experience the Strong, Herman, & now looking down the barrel of another tenure that has started off as bad as either of the first to let me just say, be very VERY careful what you wish for & don't convince yourself that the new guy is going to be better than the old guy was simply because you wish for it.
  5. I googled them just to make sure &, sure enough, they were here apparently. Even seeing the bio didn't help jog the memory.
  6. IF he can add 40+ pounds & keep his mobility before getting recruited over then he'll likely be fine. I could see it in some leagues but the SEC doesn't seem like the league to try and work with an underweight LT if you enjoy healthy QBs.
  7. The section I was sitting in literally started chanting "We want Rattler" when Williams started the second half. I had no idea Williams would lead them back like he did, but it was obvious Rattler wasn't going to do anything but continue to shit his pants the rest of the day.
  8. He could have brought his new wife and shown her around FL. "This is where my ex-wife had the WR, over there the tennis player.. hey why are you wearing an FSU jersey?"
  9. If Smith returns that has to kill the .01% chance that Stewart had of having a decent year next year right?
  10. to put it lightly. Some people care about things like money and career more than they care about human dignity & other peoples lives in general & it's baffling that there's still a portion of the educated, reasonable population that doesn't understand that. "How could Lebby come out and defend Art?" Uh, well, if you're convinced that he turned a blind eye to what was happening or, worse, actively helped cover up what was happening then why is it shocking that he came out in defense of his father-in-law/boss? If he thought/knew his ass was grass if he did anything other than that both professionally & personally then it makes a lot of sense that the POS stuck up for the bigger POS.
  11. If you knew the family, you'd know there isn't (if you're wanting to remain a member in good standing that is)
  12. I'd imagine sticking up for your father-in-law is kind of important if you're going to remain married. Wouldn't imagine Stacey & Kendall would have appreciated Lebby coming out against their dad.
  13. pretty sure they started in 1940 & haven't stopped since.
  14. and when the OL gives that QB & the WRs more than 1/2 a second to operate. It's going to be a thing of beauty
  15. Nasty is one way to describe someone who murders his own mother & his wife & *allegedly* burned his own city
