  1. If this is in reference to the video above it looks pretty conclusive that the ball hits the ground between the arms. Maybe it's still inconclusive that the ground helped him control the ball & shouldn't have been overturned, but there have been plenty... PLENTY... of more questionable calls that have been overturned & seemingly obvious calls not overturned. Aside from the OSU debacle of whatever year it was with Strong, I've never suspected any sort of grand conspiracy with refs. Maybe I'm overly naive, I just think the sheer number of cameras & new technology has allowed to see what's always been true, there are a lot of close calls that could go either way. Replay review helps with some, but at the end of the day the game is lightening quick & you have to be looking at the exact right spot at the exact right time to make every call & that's just not going to happen. What will happen is belly-aching from a fan base that has felt like it's been slighted & if one thing is as certain as death & taxes, it's TTU fans feeling like they're getting the raw deal from the refs.
  2. I haven't seen the videos, haven't heard the radio commentators comments, & have no idea what happened other than TTU won on a last second FG; but one thing I have no doubt of in my many dealings with TTU fans, this is all somehow UT's fault.
  3. They gave him an extension in the offseason so it doesn't make a shit what Fisher decides to do. He has them by the balls & can shit the bed for years before they're able to do anything about it because of the money they would owe him. Also, they beat Bama at home so they won't be able to stop fondling themselves long enough to do anything for a few years anyways.
  4. logo is back & to the right. On a positive note, Beard looks to be filling the drum for a picture about as well as Shaka did for most games.
  5. uh, the burnt orange on the new turf looks really nice and the longhorn in the SEZ is really easy to see with all the empty seats around it... what more could you possibly want?
  6. 247 used to be halfway decent until the Scout crew came over & brought their legions of morons. The idiots from 247 mingled with the morons from Scout & that place is a complete dumpster fire now. Combine that with replacing Burton w/ FCB & it's just miserable. Glad I got out when I did, wish I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did.
  7. I think we used to be the Super Bowl for every non-blue blood school when we were rolling & for a few years afterwards. At present, it feels more like we're the rich snobby kid that everyone really enjoys beating up every chance they get either because of perceived (or real) arrogance, not recruiting their players, "hate us cause they ain't us", or whatever other reason. I'd love to get back to the point that the target is on our backs because of how consistently dominant we are.
  8. Sounds like we've gained some ground on them the last few years.
  9. That's ~$1140/hr even in his sleep. I'd move to BCS for a year for that & then GTFO & blow it all trying to forget that armpit
  10. A Pac12 assistant who said his previous HC wasn't heavily involved in recruiting & saw himself as only some sort of closer? Hmmmm... my money is on Naivar.
  11. You assume he wouldn't want to take a gander between his spread legs & see his smiling face smiling right back at himself as he disgraces the University mirror you love so much.
  12. Not getting shat upon by fat Pat & actually winning in Ft. Worth (cue the "& it could have been worse cries") are already signs of progress. I know some of y'all on here are geriatrics & are really wanting to win this season before you become senile & don't know your left hand from the color spaghetti or take the long dirt nap, but I'm just approaching middle-age so if we can keep this sort of baby step progress going I may very well see another conference championship while I still have the mental capacity to remember & enjoy it & tell my grandkids about the dark ages of Longhorn football while they're making fun of me for not understanding how to use my iPhone 40. The 2051 season is looking bright, just keep laying the bricks!
  13. Unpossible because he couldn't make it to aggy/bama because he's riding around on a rascal or something.
  14. It's almost as if aggy has oversold the aura of Kyle Field like they have every other aspect of their shitty university.
  15. Asking why an aggy does something stupid/weird/cultish/insufferable/etc. is like asking why my 4 y/o puts an Easter basket on her head that supposedly gives her superpowers. No need to ask, they're aggys, stupid is what they excel at.
  16. The Germans have nothing to do with it!
  17. So can we go back to hating OUsux now or do we still have to act like we like them until the buyout is figured out or, worse, until we actually join the SEC?
  18. I hail from a city that is home to one of the left behind schools. I hate the potential negative impact this move will have on this city and area. These schools aren't worthless, they're just not worth as much as they think they are, & usually not even close to what they think they are. They've been attached to UT & OU so long that they've acquired a false sense of worth that would rival aggy if they were compared side by side. OSU is the 3rd best option of the left behind and they're not worth what the Pac 12 is distributing. Add to that the fact that OSU will make the Pac 12 uneven & they'll need to add another school and that makes the dilution even worse. Don't worry though, the Pac 12 has terrible leadership so there's no telling what they'll do & whatever school you're hoping will backdoor its way into a P4 conference certainly has a chance.
