  1. This move actually makes less sense to me than when Blue opted out. NIL money going to be that good for a redshirt freshman QB that is likely 3rd at best on the depth chart?
  2. Crazy Brown went in the 5th round. If I ranked that list he’d be second on the list. Definitely no worst than 3rd.
  3. Is not bad at all. Isolation seems to be the hardest part for most. The worst actual symptom(s) I’ve heard was a cough, some difficulty breathing, and some chest pressure. I’ve mainly been asymptomatic and felt much worse when I had RSV a couple of weeks ago.
  4. Everybody I know with Covid right now, including myself, is a “breakthrough” infection. So really not sure how long anyone is going to be able to hold onto that circumstance being rare. It’s not.
  5. Ugh yeah this. I know someone that works at an Urgent Care in Houston and she says this is the most positive test results she has seen since the pandemic started. I’m sure a lot of people have it stuck in their heads this wave won’t be as bad because half the people or so are vaccinated but this shit is obviously spreading through the vaccinated as well. And we know deaths lag and while I hope they stay low we won’t fully know for weeks. And this wave doesn’t seem to be discriminating against kids this time, so shit might come to a head when school starts.
  6. Breakthrough infection here. Got the J&J in March. Was in Costa Mujeres 7/18-21 tested negative the day before leaving and came home for a sec and left for Cabo 7/25, tested positive 7/26 and I’m currently “stuck” here while quarantining. Only possible symptom was a cough.
  7. Considering all 4 names posted I don’t think it’s an either/or situation regarding any of them. Only 1 is committed, and I think only 1(Guilbeau) has a chance to play corner. Either way aren’t in a position to “circle back” on anybody. Take what we can get at this point. And it’s not like Jaylon is a scrub either.
  8. Pass on Guilbeau in preference for who at this point?
  9. I guess Patton got sold there is more opportunity in the Michigan LB room. Whatever the case this coaching staff sure isn't living up to recruiting expectations thus far and seemingly got no boost from the impending announcement of us joining the SEC.
  10. Dropping the ball on the NIL is completely infuriating. That should have been an easy lay up for a recruiting boost. Whoever thought focusing on the players whoring themselves out on social media and starting shitty clothing lines was the way to lead with the NIL I hope is already unemployed by the university.
  11. The differing opinions on Ewers possibly doing this in contrast to Blue is comical. Unconscious bias at work in this thread. Both are/were considering forgoing their senior season essentially quitting on their team. One claims to be doing it for money he likely doesn't even need, and the other claims to be doing it to preserve his body. I'm not going to pick and choose on if either is a valid excuse and I view both situations the same.
  12. I do think the SEC will throw Aggie a bone and not put them in the same pod as UT
  13. Would be nice to have something officially announced before 7/30 and have the staff close a couple of commitments and a few guys cancel visits the following day to Aggie.
  14. Hate losing Guilbeau. I think he is going to be a good one. And I think having him committed helped with Anderson.
  15. IT didn't pick up on that because they trusted their source to a fault and explaining that situation would likely result in throwing a certain person under the bus. They held on to their stance until they were finally explicitly told otherwise. Again take from that what you will.
  16. IT was very adamant the pick was UT and didn't change their tune until they talked to Banks the morning of his commitment. Then gave the vague response on why they were wrong. I think we can deduce what happened here.
  17. I can't get with the notion Bank moved up his commitment date and hasn't made a decision yet. Why rush or add pressure unnecessarily? I'd bet he already knows.
  18. We told the kid "no thanks" so I am not surprised he took a shit on us, especially if his dad is a horn fan. Kid will probably carry that chip on his shoulder throughout his college career. I sure hope the coaching staff learned some hard lessons because they definitely have egg on their face at this point.
  19. Yea however it appears we take the silent and stop recruiting. We got lucky doubling back on Miller, we'll see what happens with Sexton.
  20. Uh yea, exactly that, go public in 48 hour or some such or we don't consider you a commit and your spot is still available. Playing nice and allowing "commits" to be silents for months isn't working out for them.
  21. Staff should just stop accepting silents at this point or at least put a timetable on going public. Seems they've mismanaged "silent" recruits all cycle, either that or they are easy as fuck to troll.
  22. So what is more likely, Cam sensed numbers were tight, and gave a silent to hold his spot at UT until he decided which school he really wanted to go to or the visit high wore off and he decided he really wanted to go to Oregon? Either way the staff can't allow this to happen, telling Sexton we have no room when this commitment was 100% in can't happen. I think it is probably always best to let a kid go home and think about it after wanting to commit while on a visit, or put a statute of limitations on a silent commit.
