  1. You know you’re going to be spending $500 to fix this pseudo issue that deserves nothing but the explanation you stated.
  2. I haven’t done mustard with tacos, but a spicy honey mustard with Siracha in it might be great.
  3. So instead of The Lottery it would be The Jizzery. Everyone on campus has to blow a sheep at one of the many the glory holes, but the catch is that 12 of the sheep are black and if you get one of those they put you into their bonfire structure and collapse it before the burn. "Thanksgiving Jizzery equals Texas victory!" instead of ''Lottery in June, corn be heavy soon. '' Do it just once and it is turdition!
  4. "We want to celebrate our baseball team who got to the most important game of the year, aggied it up, and lost! Now, let's go play the most important football game of the year (century?) for our university and see if this excellent example of aggy-ness can be continued yet again today! Huzzah! (Nut grabbing throughout the stadium) "
  5. If you don’t like this post Jesus died for nothing!
  6. Well then you’re not getting my $40!
  7. Watching the game and they played well at times and had a good comeback, but before this play I just had one calm and confident thought….”They are going to aggy this up.”
  8. Are you concerned your personality was not enough to keep people away?
  9. I don't dislike this...however, to say it is "free" is disingenuous. Are the professors going to take pay cuts? Are they going to sell buildings? Are they going to teach by candlelight to save electricity or are they just going to get free electricity? What this means is that someone else (tax payers or kids who's families make $100,000+) will cover those costs. If they say no, we have a big pile of money we are going to use that we just have sitting around it begs the question of how that pile of money was created and from what sources? Why is it not being used to lower tuition across the board, or improve the overall education being taught, and why was tuition too high to begin with? To the $15K per year number, my guess is that for many students who have household income below $100K they are receiving some or maybe substantial amounts of federal aids and grants (not a bad thing), so the UT system is not covering Full costs for these students but only the delta between previous aid and zero which should be significantly less. I would be curious to see the analysis done to estimate the average tuition removal for students falling into this bucket and how that compares to the average tuition paid by other students. I also can't wait to see people turn down raises or pay increases in order to continue to not broach the $100K threshold. Somewhat kidding about this, but I am sure there will be cases where people/families face this issue especially if it is not a graduated tuition break based on household income.
  10. My take: If people want to set it up before hand that is good, but after doing that and testing it...turn it off until after Thanksgiving. Wife and I have big decorations including light show with music and multiple large blow ups. We have been setting it up for the last week and testing it some at night to check bulbs/lights/radio signal and the programming. It runs when we are testing/fixing things but then is turned off. Our official "launch" is Friday after Thanksgiving with neighbors, friends, snacks, hot cocoa and baileys.
  11. You know, if we let some snakes loose on the plane it would fix this problem! Is this maybe an origin story?
  12. Or cold... Or hot... But besides this it is very robust.
  13. No, the guy reached out to shake hands across the net after the game and the douche put his paddle out there and when contact was made it came out of his hand. The guy who was assaulted reached over to pick it up and give it back to him and then he was sucker kicked. Guy who kicked him should have been beaten bloody. Fuck sucker punchers
  14. And also “All Hail our new Robot Overlords!”
  15. Based on where the bodies were found, the dog is likely in some shit.
  16. Not that I agree with the statement/motion, but that's not ethnic cleansing being discussed. Israel controls most of the West Bank, and the parts they don't "officially" control they really do. The lives of Palestinians who live there is vastly better than those in Gaza (even before current hostilities) as the infrastructure for roads, power, sewage, internet etc. works and is well run....by Israel. His statement (again, not saying good or bad), is more about that Israel is and has maintained de facto ownership/management of the West Bank for 50+ years and he is pushing to annex the territory to make it officially part of Israel. They wouldn't displace the Palestinians who live and work there and to the every day lives of Jews and Palestinians it would be a fairly negligible change. Politically etc, a big change.
  17. “Sociology Degree Salary in California. $57,700 is the 25th percentile. Salaries below this are outliers. $81,900 is the 75th percentile.“ So starting salary for sociology degree is 25th percentile. That is bottom 25th. Not saying job is “worthless” or you can’t make a good salary with it, but my education and social circles makes me believe that 25% is below average. However, my real point was that Sociology with a minor in Gender Studies (as an example) is a better way to have similar education while providing better opportunities as “The typical early career salary for someone with a bachelor’s degree in gender studies is $28,707, and within five years of graduation, this average salary goes up to $47,704.” So I was encouraging people to get Sociology degrees with minors/focus as I believe it provides greater options and opportunities. This is in light of the removal of degrees from the OP discussion. Sorry if my original point was unclear causing you to get defensive and jump into personal ad hominem attacks.
  18. You should have seen the size of the onion Brat wore on his belt to attract the young lass!
  19. I would agree, but caveat it that while the degree/major may go away, most of the classes should still be available. I would think that getting a degree in sociology with a minor or focus on gender studies, would provide better future employment options while still having a focus someone desires. Now honestly, not sure how great employment is for a sociology degree, but with that it has to be better not to be incredibly limited in what the degree says. But this is just a Dad who has kids going to college who wants them to find a path to success so they can return home to visit and not need to live with us full time.
  20. Is aggy upset that South Carolina used lube? Because from watching the game it sure seemed like South Carolina went in dry and hard all game.
  21. Tell me you know nothing about the State of Texas without telling me you know nothing about the State of Texas.
  22. Like their 3+ required pieces of car flair, this self “branding” is a great help to normal people.
