Dumbass Shit We See On Facebook
It use to be monthly. My Dad use to be paid that way and his company had to switch (I think legally required), and he was complaining that now twice a month he and my Mom worried about how much money you had versus once a month. His co-worker responded “You told your wife?”

What does the Surl 'member about you that keeps getting brought up?
I know your Mom is the most used, but I always think of your ex-wife and marriage story of her spiraling, and then you coming out clean on the other side like Andy Dufresne. Is that when you emerged from the surf like Shamu at a Seaworld performance?

What the fuck is wrong with you, Austin?
I stand corrected, but that is properly placed in the What The Fuck thread. At least the taxes are being well used and there is no further reason to raise them. So Austin has that going for it, right? ….. Right?

Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
The smoot /ˈsmuːt/ is a nonstandard, humorous unit of length created as part of an MIT fraternity pledge to Lambda Chi Alpha by Oliver R. Smoot, who in October 1958 lay down repeatedly on the Harvard Bridge between Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, so that his fraternity brothers could use his height to measure the length of the bridge.[1] Oliver R. Smoot was selected by his Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity pledgemaster because he was deemed shortest—which made measuring the bridge the most labor-intensive—and he was the "most scientifically named."[2][5] Smoot repeatedly lay down on the bridge, let his companions mark his new position in chalk or paint, and then got up again. Eventually, he wearied of the exercise and was carried thereafter by the fraternity brothers to each new position. One smoot is equal to Oliver Smoot's height at the time of the pledge, 5 feet 7 inches (1.7018 m). The bridge's length was measured to be 364.4 smoots (2,035 ft; 620.1 m) "± 1 εar" with the "±" showing measurement uncertainty and spelled with an epsilon to further indicate possible error in the measurement.

Yeah, at that point she is just having you wear pajamas. But based on how she responded, I think the PJ’s were a false flag to get the tree.

What the fuck is wrong with you, Austin?
In TX with an $800k home and $17.6k in taxes you need to appeal your assessment. I know county and school district dependent, but I would guess half that in Tarrant county.

Things you really just don't get...
I always assumed this trend started when some influencer or celebrity did exactly what you described and then played it off as a new fashion. Looks exactly like you took a shit and did not properly adjust your shirt afterward.

Austin ISD School Consolidation
Demographically in the US last year was the peak for High School seniors. (If your kid applied then it was the most competitive time ever) There will be a steady decline for a while and this obviously is a trailing indicator for younger kids in the system. My school district is feeling this but is also dealing with something they did not foresee which is that families where kids go through the “good” school system don’t move once they are empty nesters, so there is also less families with school aged kids since it is not getting reset. I believe part of people not moving is liking the community, and the other is that home prices have gone up so it is harder for younger families to get homes in more affluent areas they may desire but can’t afford.

I’m sure due process was followed. Reading the report from the investigations, all of the information and evidence, and the complete transcript from the impartial hearings with evidence from both sides presented will be enlightening. Just like we are currently handling things here in the US.
