  1. What I have determined is that for many things in life you don't do them because they make sense or that you care about them, but you do it because it is important to someone else and that someone else is important to you. Kindergarten graduations are like this. My kids put on a play, they danced and they were very proud. It was stupid, but I went and cheered because it mattered to them. I will go to my kids High School graduation, but I won't go to anyone else's. Why? Because graduating from High School is expected in our family and is not a celebratory event...but it is my kid. But my kid and almost every other kid doesn't want to be there. Parties, gifts, sure...but the event itself is almost as bad for them as for everyone else. Other peoples kids (even relatives) can get a gift or a check, and if there is a party to attend with family in the vicinity I would go if they invited me. Otherwise...no.* *Note: Unless my wife says otherwise and makes it more unbearable to deal with her than to suffer through whatever shitty event du jour I am dealing with.
  2. Looks like there is a "Wall of Honor" on the side. They are going to need to get a bigger wall.
  3. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/texas-covid-cases.html Loving County TX: Total cases all time 204 and total deaths all time 1. The 204 cases based on total county population seems high, so maybe they have a clinic or something that draws in some people living in a different county. Vaccination rate is 22% for 5 year and up, so likely people getting sick several times and popping COVID positive, but not seriously ill. But the population decline seems to not be COVID driven.
  4. ... And since the supply chain is broken and they can't import all of the coffee and other items they want to sell. Brave, brave corporate citizens!
  5. He completely slipped my mind.
  6. You little bitches need to have a bottle of rubbing alcohol pored onto your wound before you start complaining.
  7. He was watching his grandkids play walk in high places and play with sharp things until he remembered how great everything the Russian military is at everything they do.
  8. Stubbed big toe where you peel off the skin on the end because you were running outside barefoot. Hated that the most.
  9. Hit and run in a stolen vehicle?
  10. I told my wife that research shows that receiving a blow job before going to sleep greatly reduces Sleep Apnea for the recipient. Research also shows that ABSR's wife wants him either cranky or dead.
  11. Plastic seats were scalding hot too. I remember the plastic seats that had waffle like patterns so that when you wore shorts (70's shorts) and got out you had the red waffle imprinted on the back of your thighs for the next 30 minutes.
  12. I love Black Adder. Especially seasons 2-4.
  13. Whenever they want. They already have a Gentleman's agreement.
  14. I never knew Ronald and Wendy were Jewish.
  15. I’m glad he included racists. He wouldn’t want people who judge others based on superficial reasons to be left off.
  16. That’s the problem with this. Unless you don’t care about school districts, distance to job, or your friends and your kids friends, the best you can do is borrow against equity because if you sell you have to move somewhere else. And staying in the same neighborhood and schools will likely cost as much to find a new place.
  17. 56% YTY increase. Not trivial.
  18. They will hold the election just as soon as the pre-voted election forms are printed and arrive.
  19. Tell us you've never served without telling us you've never served.
  20. The Black Sea fleet maintenance program is in need of a major overhaul. They can't seem to stop having accidents.
  21. Watch or re-watch Blazing Saddles. Not making that movie today. But it was hilarious and the off color humor was very much in the same vein as Huckleberry Finn where it was outlandish but the underlying message was making fun of, or pointing out the stupidity of, the racists and other people. But like Huckleberry Finn (written in late 1800's and using the "N" word throughout), it would be judged at a surface level by the politically correct masses instead of seeing the real underlying message/theme.
  22. You can make a fortune on tips alone!
  23. Wow that Expense breakout is horrible. But here is my question. What is "Not allocated Revenue"? It is for $43,684,347 which is over 31% of all revenues but they don't break that out? Why do I think they include things in here as "revenue" such as the Foundation (above) and other donations, or even possibly loans they may take out. Who is their "independent" auditor? I am guessing it is not one of the big accounting firms who take fiduciary responsibility seriously, but an aggy special alumni relationship.
  24. She can’t do anything right.
