  1. Even if they never practice law again there will be decades of MSNBC or FNC appearances (depending on which side they are on), books, money from bullshit think tanks and NGOs shoveled at him/her.
  2. There is a larger project at play but I don't know how much of that you can project onto this decision. Sam Alito has about as strong of a connection to reality as Ted Kaczynski. These are highly insulated, extremely ideological, true believing holy warriors. I don't think they are all like that or that the true aim of the project is to turn America into The Handmaid's Tale. It's still primarily about money and less about social control. The thing is with SCOTUS is that you have no accountability so your best bet is to get the most insane people possible which can lead to bouts of excess like overturning Roe.
  3. Wouldn't it be wild if for one game this season the teams best two hitters were in the top 3 of the batting order?
  4. They aren't getting rid of Goodrum this early. I think they send down Martinez and Blanco and keep Mushinski. Those two can't be used in anything other than blowouts anyway.
  5. Maton has been quietly pretty awful this season. Also, I like how crazy Abreu drives fans. Reminds me of Giles a little. Dude throws 100 has two breaking pitches from hell and fans want to DFA him. Lol.
  6. Each team broke the same rule and received about the same competitive advantage from their cheating. One of those teams was so brazen and blatant as to illegally steal signs on the road.
  7. Bill can be a bit boomer-brained at times but this is correct:
  8. It doesn't matter if the Astros' illegal sign stealing scheme didn't actually furnish the Astros with a competitive advantage - cheating is cheating. However, don't expect for a fucking millisecond that same standard to be applied to the conduct of other teams.
  9. Altuve and Yuli are the only two scaring me so far, particularly Yuli. Bregman is doing ok but I honestly don't think that power is ever coming back and he's simply gonna be a really good but not elite player moving forward.
  10. I'm like 90% sure Pressly has to have some kind of long standing injury that has gone unnoticed or something. Click is going to catch hell if he signed him to that extension hurt.
  11. That 83 mph curveball he threw to Ohtani was insane. Only threw a couple cutters last night so it looks like he’s going to incorporate that pitch slowly if at all. Good to see he dropped his traditional four seam though.
  12. It’s super weird. That’s a huge velo drop and the “adrenaline” excuse doesn’t work anymore. Still, Click would have to be retarded to sign that extension if this velo drop was relayed to an injury or some other cause that won’t quickly fix itself.
  13. I think his arm is fine but it’s not the cannon Correa’s is. Overall though I think Peña will be a well above average fielder at SS. Hitting is the bigger concern.
  14. I hate the Braves. Mid team that got hot at the right time. Like a worse version of the 2019 champs.
  15. He can barely throw 90 led me to that conclusion.
  16. Poor Bieber might be done as an elite pitcher. Cleveland should have traded him sooner!
  17. Hopefully he does better than France did last night Typical Brown night so far lol.
  18. Hunter Brown stepping on the mound in a few minutes…
  19. Why not just make the deal next off season though and see what happens? Maybe he gets hurt? Should at least get a discounted AAV.
  20. I think the Pressly deal is a fair deal but ultimately extending Tucker/Alvarez is much more important. These are MVP caliber talents. Why did this extension happen first?
  21. I mean, you can touch 95 and still average 93...in fact, that's about what you would expect lol.
  22. Baez should be released and Montero should have been non-tendered. Blanco and James should be on the opening day roster.
  23. He was terrible for most of last year and had a contract where we couldn’t afford to pitch him. Had it not been for Lance’s issues they probably would have been forced to shop him by eating some of his salary or adding a prospect.
  24. This is so they can keep Peña down to begin the season and thereby gain another year of control over him. Also a replacement level player who’s better than De Goti who they can slide in should Peña get hurt.
