  1. Shit, to preserve the infinitesimal chance that UW makes the CCG, I have to pull for Oregon and USC today. FML. (Narrator: It ain't happening, so to hell with that.)
  2. Lulz. With two weeks left, the 12-team Pac could still finish in a 5-way tie with a not unlikely series of results. There's literally a large flow chart out there with a myriad of if-then possibilities; it's hard to even know whom to root for. 16 teams? That should be fun.

    MUNDIAL XXII

Ahhhh as brasileiras. Beleza. I'd love to visit Floripa next visit, no question. I attended a Flamengo - Fluminense match at the Maracanã in 2015 and don't recall beer anywhere, although there was a messed-up teen who occasionally stumbled over to the fence between the sections to flip off the opposing fans. He was so trashed that even the cops were laughing as they brought him back to his buddies - wasn't even worth kicking him out.
  4. "Well, Mattia - what do you think we should do?"
  5. Thanks - the Bruins put us to the sword but the ASU game was infuriating. DeBoer getting a statement win in his first season - outstanding. Apple Cup in Pullman is going to be a challenge. Looking forward to you guys taking care of SC again.
  6. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ahahahahahaha happy happy joy joy WOOF (SB, my brother lives in Eugene and made the same decision you did - what the hell, might as well go to Autzen. Think he had a pretty good time.)
  7. It was Lake, not Kwiatkowski. Listened to him say it on the post-game show driving out of Pullman.
  8. Yep. He's a bit toxic so the offsets may or may not come into play, but he's an indisputably good DBs coach who didn't care to recruit much as a HFC. He'll land somewhere. There were some thoughts/discussions re playing hardball with him, but ultimately the school didn't want that look.
  9. Washington fired Jimmy Lake during the season, in only his second year, the proximate cause being his going Woody Hayes/Frank Kush on a player on the sideline during a game. Certainly that was grounds for firing with cause (turned out there were other reasons as well). The UW AD still decided to negotiate a buyout rather than get into that entire mess, which probably made more sense in the long run - cut the ties ASAP and both sides move on. On the other hand, Texas A&M.
  10. I find this extremely difficult to disagree with. But I'll probably go anyway.
  11. I... I just can't even... Now, I'm a bit far from Texas (although I do know a couple of aggy even up here). But every time I try to explain this thread/A&M to someone I just get this look like "that can't really be." But they actually write this shit themselves, like it's normal. "Hey! The pumpkin head thing we do is funny - but what if'n we tried to whomp it off his head with some ax handles?" I don't know whether to laugh or what. Okay, yeah I do. I laugh. Then I think hell, it could be worse. They could have used actual axes.
  12. I like purple teams. Well, a purple team. And Texas would rotohammer our skulls.
  13. Meh, I root for almost assuredly the worst 6-2 team in the country (they'll probably only win one more), so getting only 1 AP vote seems about right to me.
  14. Well, it's just another Russian oblast, so yeah. And still no washing machines. Pretty good dryers, though.
  15. Go Bruins. This should go without saying.
  16. Congrats, SB. Your guys punched us in the mouth tonight. Hope it's not our last conference game in the Rose Bowl. Good luck the rest of the way.
  17. Heh... you made me think for a bit - but the only ones I can recall are Mark Brunell and Brock Huard (yeah, that Brock Huard). Oh yeah, and Brock's nephew Sam (currently on the roster). But most all UW QBs are named "Jake."
  18. Well, Couging It is still a thing. The one damn time I root for Wazzu every year. Should have just stuck with pulling for the meteor.
  19. Was directly across from you. Was as loud as it's been for quite a while - my voice is just now coming back.
  20. A tale as old as time. (True, though)
  21. Huh... the last time someone in that part of the world tried to supply by air some besieged fascist bastards pinned against a river, it didn't turn out so well.
  22. Yeah, several times. Fuck them. Seriously though, it's a good place to see a game, small but loud, and the fans were not assholes the last two times I was there. (I've been to all the Pac-12 stadia several times and UO and UW have the best game day scenes - although they all have their vastly different charms and I've had a good time at each.) The walk through the park mentioned above is a nice way to get there. Aside from that, definitely hit the coast or Bend. My brother lives in Eugene and TBH there's not a lot going on there although it's pleasant enough.
  23. Русский аэродром, иди на хуй.
  24. You want some coffee? My avatar has some coffee for you. Don't ask where he got it.
