  1. Altuve is the Yankees father. Not gonna lie, it pleases me greatly when I hear F Altuve over and over and then he continues to crush their dreams every time at the plate.
  2. Not on defense, but plenty of glory.
  3. I made that comment elsewhere - word is that he is taking some reps with the ends in practice. I hate to take him away from his natural position but that DE spot is a real sore spot right now on the roster. ------------------------ Funny though that someone made the comment about all the 1st rounders LSU has had drafted at the DE position. LSU's draft success at DE since 2014 is basically the same as Texas, if not worse. LSU has had a 7th rounder in 2022, 3rd rounder in 2018, 3rd rounder in 2015. In comparison Texas has had a 7th rounder in 2023, 3rd and 5th rounder in 2021, 5th rounder in 2019. And that doesn't consider the fact that we've had 1-2 top 100 player DE commits over the last decade while they have had 5-10. LSU has done really well in the draft the last decade or so - but not really at the edge position.
  4. Simmons is just so critical to this class because of the current lack of talent at edge. Probably the position with the least amount of natural game changing talent on our defense, and maybe the team? Vasek is the only one in that current edge group that shows me any real long term potential, and he’s not anything that teams will have to plan around. Color me skeptical that we will ever get any sort of real production out of the rest of that current group. Simmons would start day 1. Makes me wonder if they’re going to have someone like Anthony Hill play at end out of position just to get him on the field. The only saving grace is that we’re stocked and ready on the interior and at LB and maybe that will open some things up for a subpar group at edge.
  5. Tonight at midnight we’ll start to see where this staff’s priorities are. The contact period starts this evening for the 25 kids.
  6. That dude, if I remember correctly, is going to have to make quite an adjustment this year at his new hs. I’d personally like to see his tape before I bought him now that he’s playing against decent competition.
  7. That’ll be 9.95 when you’re ready.
  8. Side question, I wonder what the single best record is in CFB following a 5-7 season. Looks like Tulane went from 2-10 in 2021 to 11-2 in 2022, but not sure why. TCU went from 5-7 to 13-2 this past year and in the championship game. Though I do think in TCU’s case, that was primarily due to an entire depth chart of 4th/5th year players which A&M will not have. 8-4 plus a bowl game is probably the most likely guess, with both a 5-6 win season or 9-10 win seasons being equally likely.
  9. Guess I need to take the L on conjuring up the Charleston discussion. I agree there’s lots of hot ass there, and neither I or anyone else as far as I can tell is shitting on the city as a vacation or weekend spot. This came from the Clemson takes care of their own after school etc. Their alumni are pretty spread out across the US outside of a couple SC cities that aren’t exactly meccas for fortune 500 companies. In comparison to Texas with Aus/Hou/Dal as major alumni cities.
  10. Underestimate the booming economic metropolis of Charleston, Columbia and North Charleston at your peril sir. Not a better market to run AirBnB’s for Waspy bachelorette parties in the entire South Atlantic coastal region.
  11. This is up there with terrible announcement speeches by the school administrator… holy shit
  12. I don’t pay attention to all the rules of NIL but it’s surprising to me that this has passed a compliance check. I signed up just to see, and it’s exactly what you think. You can search up a player and just send them cash. Nothing in return needed.
  13. Be prepared for the premier shitting on Texas recruiting pitch from the Aggie players and staff that weekend if those three show up. It won’t matter that none of the three are expected to end up in college station, they’ll be happy to just shit in our punch bowl. Hopefully they have car troubles on the way there or it completely backfires.
  14. this is a great and worthwhile discussion. can we move this to a different board so I dont have to wade through this like I did the Texas Tech gameplan discussion?
  15. Yea but who wants to bang Robbins Brothers? Kendra on the other hand….
  16. I once saw Jamaal Charles in McCombs. (he was cutting through the building to get to Gregory.)
  17. It sorts itself out in the sense that our coaches will be deemed great developers if they recruit a bunch of high 3 mid 4 star players that are recruited hard by the other major programs and then go on to the NFL after college success.
  18. And they just signed a 5th OT in this class today in 4* Marques Easley.
  19. Guess they like the recruit all tackles and develop into guards method because they seem to take 3-4 OT’s every year. That or they just expect 1-2 of them to portal after 2 years, which is probably not a bad strategy.
  20. Did they add another coach yet with TP kicking the bucket?
  21. My bookies o/u for A&M regular season this year is o7.5 -185 and U7.5 +154. vs New Mexico @Miami vs ULM vs Auburn (Neutral) Arkansas Alabama @Tennessee BYE vs South Carolina @ Ole Miss vs Mississippi St vs Abilene Christian @ LSU First off, how in the world do they justify only 4 true road games? Second - you could sell me on them being better this year, I think you could also sell me on them being worse as well. Before looking at their schedule I would have figured 8 wins. I think 7 probably makes more sense after seeing it. I don’t trust Auburn, Mississippi St, or South Carolina to take care of business on the road but I think Arkansas finally nips them and the Miami road game is a toss-up.
