  1. Do you not understand what low hanging fruit means? Google says: "Low-hanging fruit" is a metaphor that refers to tasks that are easy to accomplish, require minimal effort, and provide immediate rewards. In business, the phrase is used to describe projects that a team or employee can easily and quickly complete before moving on to more challenging work. For example, a company might identify low-hanging fruit projects that should be a priority, such as high impact, low effort projects." Yes, I believe we got the low hanging fruits. Feel free to disagree.
  2. I get along fine with people who matter. I have low tolerance for people who like to argue for the sake of arguing or try to defend the status quo when the status quo is subpar. I just tried to defend my position that you and few others took different from what I intended. You can't make positive change if you're not willing to take risks or be unpopular. Anyway, enough thread derailment and I apologize to other posters for this back and forth.
  3. I bring so much shame that the dean is pleading to join their innovation center as an advisor. You should quit while you're behind, moron.
  4. If you struggled to understand the intent of my post, then I have a fairly good idea of how successful you're in life. Stop wasting my time. I don't want to engage with you.
  5. You seem like someone who needs everything to be spelled out for you to understand. We need better players to replace Disu and Abmas' production, if we hope to be equal or better than this year. Meditate on what I wrote for a few days and then maybe it will make sense.
  6. First of all, I never said I didn't like the "kids" that committed to us. I acknowledged in one of my posts that they were upgrades over what we lost in Mitchell and Hunter. What I also said was that we still needed to replace our top players in Disu and Abmas and that first or second team all P5 conference guys are what we needed for those replacements. Abmas was lighting it up in a non-p5 conference but that didn't translate well to big 12. You can be pleased with the new guys and still want better players to round out the roster. Only RT fanatics would take such comments as attacks on him or the "kids" who probably make more on NIL than most adults on this board except the nurses.
  7. It's almost like they don't even try to win on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  8. Wanted to make a joke about our DB coach but then decided against it so as not to derail the thread. Seems like it got derailed anyways.
  9. Sorry I should have fallen in line with "trust the corches" during the offseason and save my criticisms for the in-season when we fail to live up to our expectations. Then we will say, if only we are able replace a few underperformers, we would be elite. Wait till next year! That is the Aggy, I mean the surly way now.
  10. Remember how Maalik Murphy looked in the spring game last year? While the backup QBs look good today, you just can't read too much into it.
  11. Beautiful pass and catch.
  12. Taaffe is having a tough day.
  13. Manning should starts!
  14. Yeah, but for those of us out of the country, that isn't an option. Neither is a fubo, Hulu, for free trials, because those are blocked in certain countries...blah blah.. This is why I can't wait for the era of LHN to be over. I live in California and travel abroad a lot, so I don't get LHN. The idea of having our own channel was not bad, but the lack of coverage out of state when we are a global brand sucked.
  15. Last spring game on LHN.
  16. What if we upset Aggy in the regional? Does that buy him another season?
  17. We can't pitch, hit or play good defense. What else is there?
  18. You're a fucking idiot trying to make a strawman argument. I guess not every graduate of this fine university is meant to change the world.
  19. What about this tweet? I can't imagine Aggy letting their most successful coach be stolen by Texas.
  20. Whatever dude. You win Surly. I don't have time for arguing with people who can't see the big picture, which is to construct a championship caliber roster. Texas should always be able to add transfers from non-P5 schools, hence my "low hanging fruit" comment.
  21. I am not saying they are available. I said those types of guys would help us make a deep run because we don't have a solid core in place. Our best player might be a true freshman. Most other teams (who made deep runs last year) that are retaining their core group will have an edge over us.
  22. Are you comparing Uconn's coach to ours? They play the most unselfish basketball in Division 1 where role players can effectively play their assigned roles for the team to be successful. We are a hero ball team. I don't think you watch Texas basketball.
  23. So far we have picked the low hanging fruits imo. Getting the all 1st and 2nd team guys from power conferences is harder, but that's what we need to make deep runs in March.
