  1. I am looking at the below except from the CFP guidelines. They put SOS above H2H. Bama will have more ranked wins, higher quality loss, and better overall SOS if they were to beat UGA and won the SEC. I think they will be a shoe in.
  2. H2H matters only if other things are equal. If Bama wins the SEC they would have a better SOS and the committee won't hesitate to put them above us. We are putting too much weight o H2H imo.
  3. It's the same pass they completed in the spring game.
  4. This! If I am a betting man, I would bet Texas and Oregon swap positions this week. If they don't do it now, then we will not pass the Pac 12 champion in the final ranking.
  5. Yes they do. It's explicitly mentioned in their selection guidelines.
  6. Since it's impossible to play the common opponent in the same week, so yes, one team would have to play them earlier than the other. I am not sure how that invalidates the results against the common opponent. Then why consider it at all?
  7. Because we now have played a common opponent. When records are the same, you look at H2H and results against common opponents. They ranked Oregon ahead when we were barely escaping with wins while Oregon just hammered Utah who was considered one of the best teams at the time. Now that win doesn't look as impressive any more and we have started to dominate. So a lot has changed that warrant a reevaluation of the rankings of these two teams.
  8. I don't disagree that Texas should be ahead, and I believe there is a good chance that the committee puts us ahead of Oregon this week. If they don't do it now, they won't do it after Oregon beats UW.
  9. Two conferences (SEC and B1G) are guaranteed to send at least one representative, if not two if other conferences are deemed not worthy by comparison. That's why I think we should root for undefeated champs from those conferences. Then we pick our battles with Pac 12 and ACC and hope our resume looks better assuming we all have the same W-L records. If one of these two conferences has an unbeaten champ, they also go in ahead of us.
  10. 11-1 bama may or may not pass us, but I don't want to find out. A 2-loss bama surely won't and would ensure only one SEC team (UGA) gets in. There has never been a case where the SEC didn't get a team in and this won't be the first because we won the H2H. Not saying two one-loss teams from the SEC will surely get in, but we are talking about a two-time defending champ who had the best regular season record in the SEC and only lost in the conference championship game to Bama. There will be a lot of push to get both Bama and UGA in.
  11. Sorry my bad. I meant to say, if UGA is the winner, then bama is out.
  12. Agree with the first paragraph but we don't want Bama to beat UGA and cause further chaos and uncertainty. We know that SEC will definitely send one team to the CFP. If it's UGA, then Bama gets left out because they would have two losses. If we have two one-loss teams, then there will be talking heads lobbying for two SEC teams to get in, however ridiculous that may sound.
  13. No matter how much lobbying is done in favor of Texas over FSU, I think that's a losing battle unless FSU loses their championship game. There is absolutely no reason to rank Oregon ahead of us however, and our lobbying should focus on that aspect of the rankings.
  14. How can you go wrong with hiring someone from the Jimbo coaching tree?
  15. Not surprisingly to see Fox promote B1G given their affiliation with the conference. When you listen to the talking heads, you always have to consider their ulterior motives.
  16. Are you watching this game? They played undisciplined all game and their OL is softer than charmin. Nothing to do with the QB. Fucking dumbass!
  17. Florida has tried really hard to lose this game after taking an early lead. Congrats, dumb asses! You have succeeded.
  18. ACC officiating crew I suppose? They are going to protect their best chance to the playoff.
  19. Florida has a losing culture much like we had under Strong and Herman. I hope they can overcome it for a chance to spoil their in-state rival's season.
  20. ACC will try to protect FSU's playoff bid.
  21. That fucking penalty started this comeback.
  22. Why do players do dumb shit that gives the momentum away?
