  1. That’s the biggest problem. Tackle is the weakest position in the portal. I’m sure Texas will adjust numbers if a legit tackle enters the portal but they’re not going to take a scrub and pray it improves the OL.
  2. That's the funny part. They haven't even been close to wining a conference title, since 1998, outside of two years. 1) 2010 when there was a 3 way tiebreaker in the Big 12 South. That aggy team wasn't very good either as LSU spanked them in a bowl game and aggy still lost 4 games. It was just a weird year in the Big 12. 2) 2020 where they finished 8-1 in the SEC during a Covid year. Their wins had a combined 31-42 record.
  3. Sasser is done for the season. That's a massive loss for UH. He's one of the best players in the country.
  4. They may not even win a conference championship with Jimbo. This will always be hilarious.
  5. SIAP. "Any bowl game can be moved to as late as Jan. 10 without a waiver to accommodate schools that might need additional time to prepare for competition." https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/general-division-i-football-oversight-committee-confirms-selection-process-for-bowl-game-participants
  6. So I see the timeline for aggy is now being moved back to year 7 or 8 for Jimbo. https://gigemgazette.com/2021/12/24/2022-will-rebuilding-year-texas-am-football-team/amp/ "The Texas A&M football team’s future is bright, but it might take a couple more years in Aggieland."
  7. Year 5 of Jimbo already being framed as a rebuild. When exactly is he expected to win something?
  8. Yeah, which is why I bet they would still make the numbers work if a legit OT is actually available.
  9. I think it's a risky move but turning down somebody like Neto, Agbo, or Williams for a meh 1 year stop gap seems very short-sighted. Maybe these numbers aren't set in stone though and Texas still makes a transfer OL work if the quality justifies making that move.
  10. The offense was predictable because of ball control/passing. Like in the Nebraska match, it's impossible to set the middles if the setter is chasing all over the court.
  11. Texas probably needs a grad transfer OL but I understand not wanting to pass up on a talented 3 to 4 year player for a meh stop gap type for 1 year. I think the decision calculus probably changed once Texas realized they could land this many quality OL in recruiting.
  12. As expected, aggy is using contact tracing as the cover up for Bost tweeting his negative test. Liucci reported that aggy had been in isolation since last Saturday. The CDC recommendation is 10 days. That means a 10 day quarantine would have ended on around the 28th. 3 full days before the bowl game. My guess is the contact tracing talk is just bullshit to begin with but even if that's the case there's no reason this game still couldn't have been played.
  13. There's a ton of hilarious Branding Iron content if you search for it on Texags and other Longhorn boards. I thought he was a Texas fan trolling aggys for the longest but it was verified years later that he was a real person. If I recall, when the incident happened on Texags he was doxxed by a lot of posters.
  14. You talking about Branding Iron or Gabe Bock? Branding Iron used to be a major aggy troll on all the boards. At one point even aggys turned on him. I can't remember what happened but there was some crazy incident with Branding Iron and Texags. The "madman" description fits him well. Not to piss on a guy's grave but he was a lunatic.
  15. Gabe Bock might be more delusional than Liucci. Every year he tells Texags subscribers they're going to contend for a national title in baseball and they have 1 CWS win in my entire lifetime.
  16. Oh this is going to create some great content.
  17. Sounds like Elijah Robinson might be in play as the DC at Rutgers. It's quiet on the aggy DC front but I'm starting to think they may just go the Co-DC route with Robinson and Santucci. Seems risky.
  18. Yeah, I always viewed Joseph as meh hire from a coaching perspective but I didn't think he was trash either. Joseph has some recruiting skins on the wall. I think he's probably a plus recruiter. I would still prefer a better DB coach out of Joseph and Gideon. With that said, some have probably gone overboard with the Joseph hate (myself included). If Texas lands Mathews, which is looking like a real possibility, Joseph did a decent job this cycle.
  19. I'm not sure Texas is running 2nd or 3rd for Matthews right now.
  20. I'm not sold on Joseph as a coach but I'm starting to wonder if he's a good recruiter. Who was he the lead recruiter on this cycle.......Brooks, Guilbeau, Jordan, Watts? And maybe Mathews? That's not bad at all.
  21. The entire thing is just so aggy. The last 2 bowl games aggy fans wouldn't shut up about "play the game" and "don't make excuses about opt outs". The moment it looks like aggy would be at a disadvantage they puss out of their bowl game. Then you have the fact their entire history is based on 12th man and players stepping up for a depleted roster. All bullshit. On top of that, you now have vocal anti-vaxxers/Covid deniers arguing to trust the science and to be cautious with Covid. It's truly remarkable yet so damn aggy. I don't know how these people aren't embarrassed. The saying "aggy jokes write themselves" couldn't be more true.
  22. Looks like Zwerneman is saying Jimbo/A&M are lying. We need aggy to say Bost was available and Zwernman was wrong so then Zwernman has to defend himself.
  23. aggy is going to argue it's contact tracing but isn't the CDC recommendation 10 days? They went into isolation days ago. It's all bullshit. Even if it's contact tracing they could have played this game.
