  1. It will be interesting to see what they do ... I guess one choices are no more Bond or they pretend he actually did not die and start over with the new guy. I am far from an expert, but was Craig's tenure the only one where there was a macro plot that crossed films? IIRC, in previous iterations each movie was pretty standalone - maybe there was a few callbacks, but I do not recall a meta-narrative like Craig's movies.
  2. I think he probably was the hottest name out there when we hired him outside of Urban. Maybe I'm wrong, but IIRC he was usually listed as the biggest name hire of all the guys that got HC jobs last year.
  3. Great story. Thanks for posting. So much information content here.
  4. This week's budget diverted from the gallons of anal lube courtesy of <trigger warning>
  5. Are you going to convince her to flash the girls to settle the SoB controversy?
  6. We hire reputations not coaches. We just Go pluck the sexiest name without regard to competence, fit, etc. That's why OU owns us - Stoops and Riley were not at the top of the "sexy coaches list." Yet they have anally violated our "hot name" coaches year end and year out.
  7. You forget today the "greater good" is virtue signaling on social media behind your gated community not actually getting your hands dirty.
  8. Maybe this is obvious, but one basic thing I've never gotten about the whole lacing thing ... it's not like they say, "hey, I've added some fentanyl to your adderal." It's not like the guy who might be now addicted really knows what he's addicted to ... amiright?
  9. SMU has become a great place for great players that did not win the starting job at top program. I hope they keep it up.
  10. It's scary as a parent that a stupid kid thinks they're taking one thing and ends up dying from a Fentanyl overdose. It's tragic we've turned over border policy to the cartels.
  11. That's a great look. For the life of me I cannot understand why Baylor moved away from Gold hats as well as made mustard a primary color.
  12. I appreciate your perspective. I would love to have a deeper conversation about some of these issues, but we know how that will turn out. My lived experience is there is not always perfect aligning between individuals and an "agenda" for lack of a better word, and that people are not as monolithic as cable news would have us believe.
  13. I think it was more the former. It definitely did not play offensively vs. OSU like it did in the other games. That's college football. It should be a good game and will tell both programs a lot about where they really are.
  14. As always, I enjoyed the podcast. I thought he was too gushing about Gandolfino's performance. I agree with others, he just lacked the hutzpah of Tony. But I aligned with most of the sentiment here: "no one cared or cares about Dickie Moltisanti."
  15. Exactly. Not that anyone is interested in honest, complex conversations, but it starts with realizing there is a distinction between being "anti" a person group and being "anti" a particular special interest group's agenda. Just like making a joke about someone does not make a comedian "anti" any person or group. Chapelle's humor is not for everyone. The fact that this is a "controversy" says more about our culture than it does him. Personally, I want to live in a world where we have comedians speak truth to power and not face backlash if they do not adhere to a narrowly open Overton Window.
  16. Baylor has beaten two ranked teams this year. Baylor played its worst game fundamentally against OSU at night in Stillwater, which is a tough place to play for every team. We saw what happened with OSU in Austin.
  17. Without those assholes running off Davey Crockett and his band of rapscallions where would we be? I say thank you.
  18. Why do you think it's problematic? Is this like some national crises that I missed? Has CNN been so focused on "Sexy Mama" Wal-Mart masks that I missed the true Phantom Menace of 2021?
  19. Baylor's hired three great coaches since 2008. We've hired none.
  20. Coaching hires often are less about resume and more about fit. I think Henry Rogers is the only guy that can turn us around based on his unique insight into fixing football and the bid questions.
  21. 100%. That's why I appreciated Rogan calling out the bullshit. Gupta had no answer. If more people actually looked at data: https://www.skeptic.com/research-center/reports/Research-Report-CUPES-007.pdf
  22. Pretty sure 99% of the loudest among the outrageratti never even saw the show. "Transphobic" is like "racism" where today it just means "disagrees with me."
  23. Yep. That's the fundamental cultural problem we have to fight through if we're going to survive ... we need to stop to push toward illiberalism by the tiny minority of twatter crazies. It's a crazy world when traditional conservatives are the counter culture.
