  1. The struggle is indeed real but I’m gonna do it as well.
  2. Robin Williams
  3. Yep. Agree. 1999-2013 was brutal. But then the market caught up to fundamentals (corporate earnings ) and away we went. That is why you invest early and often(spend less than you make), consistently invest over time, and hold an age appropriate asset allocation for 35 years. Guarantee you will have “enough”. Sleep well guys. It’s all gonna be ok.
  4. Maybe. Who knows. Certainly know I ain’t smart enough to call short term. But I do like my odds LONG term.
  5. Ok. Retired at 56. Invested long for 35 years. You do you.
  6. It’s almost like you haven’t been paying attention for the last 125 years.
  7. Disagree . Was covid normal ? Was giving no doc loans to people for mortgages normal? Was ww2 normal ? The market typically trades in a certain P/E ratio range and it got overextended. It WILL revert to that in the future. Will it go below that average or just flounder a bit like the lost decade to let earnings catch up to the multiple? No clue. If a 10-20% correction scares/worries you, you should just stay in Treasuries. They happen regularly and often.
  8. The S&P is CURRENTLY up 120% for 5 years and 32% for 2 years. The average return is 9%. This is normal. Reversion to the mean is always going to happen. Does it suck? Yes. Is it normal? Absolutely. Turn off cnbc and it’s all gonna be just fine if you in for the long term.
  9. Man that hurts. Why can’t we have nice things? Time to nut up and keep the train rolling. Hook ‘em.
  10. Duck, NC.
  11. Most people suck regardless if they are religious or not.
  12. Hit 173 today. Down from 190 Jan 1. Still doing all of the following. No booze, cardio weights 5x a week., sleep 8 hours, almost no sugar, about a 500 per day calorie deficit. Maintaining a pace of about 1.5 pounds lost per week which is good. Slow and steady wins the race. No booze really makes a ton of difference. Onward to 166.
