  1. I have written thousands of wills and trusts. Donā€™t listen to the trust advice on here. Itā€™s uninformed and mostly wrong. The best way to get free wills and trusts drafted by an attorney is to sign up for LegalShield in Texas. Get the cheapest plan and cancel as soon as you receive them (also comes with free living will and powers of attorney). Itā€™s much cheaper than having a lawyer draft one. Trust me on this one I worked in estate planning for years.
  2. Checked out Weigman on Wikipediaā€”which one of you altered his date of death. Hilarious.
  3. I thought the terms were popularized by the incel community. I guess that doesnā€™t contradict you tho
  4. This particular NFT thing is clever because it makes determining fair market value for it nearly impossible partly because of its uniqueness and partly because of the parties involved. A booster could pay millions for it on the pretense itā€™s a speculative collectible on the future best NFL player in history . What do you compare it too? Plus art is in the eye of the beholder. Itā€™s not like a pair of shoes. And Fuck u if u consider shoes art. u dapper sneaker head
  5. It depends on what you mean by ā€œcoordinateā€ with UT staff. Itā€™s possible they delegated everything to a third party to act as kind of a go between. They have have a compliance email I imagine is for questions like yours. The UT staff canā€™t organize the deal or help set it up (like physically be there). I donā€™t have enough posts to access the thread with the rest of your thoughts but like I said Iā€™ll be glad to help if needed.
  6. Agreed. But hereā€™s whyā€”SCOTUS threatened to deem the NCAA a monopoly if they passed any national regulations. NCAA got scared and so states just started passing laws
  7. They had to do it that way because Texas NIL pretty much says as much, unfortunately
  8. I literally donā€™t pump my own gas, bro. Thanks for the uhhā€¦advice tho
  9. The state of Texas fucked us with our statute. If they repeal it Texas schools can do whatever the fuck they want. I canā€™t even conceive of what Aggy would engage in
  10. Fun fact: Oregonā€™s statute also doesnā€™t prohibit tobacco, alcohol, guns, or sexually oriented businesses like Texasā€™ does.
  11. In Texas athletes canā€™t contact with Nike or any of the other UT ā€œpartnersā€ which appear to be half of Austinā€™s businesses. Another attorney told me that. I thought it would depend upon the particular contracts between UT and the businesses. You also canā€™t match up or endorse businesses to athletes. You also canā€™t suggest to recruits whom they can work with if they decide to enroll. This last one is the most damning. I bet Oregon tells this kid how to reword what he said ASAP
  12. The second Texas should be Oregon. I get u prolly knew that but it wonā€™t let me edit my post.
  13. I just glanced at Oregonā€™s statute. It is way more permissive than Texas is. What would be a violation in Texas isnā€™t in Texas. Still seems sketchy tho

  15. What do yā€™all think about this quote from an Oregon recruit? Seems very suggestive of NIL violations to me. I can read one possible violation as ambiguous but not another. Any Opinions?
  16. On another note, Wanna broach post #856 TwiceHorn? SKGā€™s question specifically
  17. Oops, I thought that was a ā€œnot equalā€ sign in the post above for some reason and got confused. šŸ˜‚
  18. I should have used a different word. I meant it only in the sense those schools are allowing students to use IP to varying degrees. I didnā€™t look into the specifics. In general, I just want UT to be under pressure to loosen up.
