  1. I thought it was a pretty savy move of Alicent and she was bringing in her brother to kill Ser Cristen en route and on the march (to bring back her dad as the hand, and show she's brutally strategic to kill her lover), but it looks like he is going to be wimpy and need Cristen's help looking at next week's trailer.
  2. He is gross skinny. Slenderman-esque. This season is so much better than season 1 for me.
  3. Shot in the dark, but does anyone have a good realtor recommendation for Oklahoma City area? I think work is going to have me relocate at some point......
  4. First time housebuilder-- where would I go about hiring an independent inspector? I assume I can just google "home inspector" but maybe any advice more targetted than that?
  5. Just found out that the tubs put in were the regular model and not the contracted deluxe tubs with the deck mount. So now they are going to have to rip it out and get these installed, what a disaster.
  6. Can anyone refer a third-party or neutral frame inspector for a new build? Situation is my builder had a framing crew, they did half the job, went AWOL, took a while but found a second crew to finish the job and with the dropping of the ball I'd like to do my own due diligence just to make sure there were no gaps from crew A and crew B. The builder is telling me that the city inspector is thorough and tough, etc. but also welcome and open to me sending my own guy and at this point I'll pay out of pocket if reasonable for peace of mind. Would appreciate any DM recommendations. Thanks
  7. I saw Greg Hardy fought in the MMA the other day and had forgotten all about him. Another Jerry Jones special.
  8. I was in Galveston about a month ago at the Pleasure Pier and the roller coaster that goes straight up vertical got stuck and broke with the people in that position, with the sun beating on them, for like an hour. Sucks!
  9. Most importantly, did you pack and enforce as a prerequisite for your boys some Hemingway? A little "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" or "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber"?
  10. Rango (Kid movie, Johnny Depp). I never hear anyone talk about this movie and I randomly watched it with a kiddo. I think this was an extremely well made and interesting movie, and especially loved the visuals and animation of the animals. The first 9 minutes of Rango I'd put up toe-to-toe as the best with any children's or animated movie you can name.
  11. Oh yes! Very underrated fruit in my opinion, which is especially weird because we are in Texas and it’s one of the few native foodstuffs. Shiner Bock Ruby Red flavor seasonal beer however, I’ll go ahead and be a heretic and say it was gross back when I used to drink.
  12. I like to eat frozen blueberries and grapes too. But the fruit that is king in our house this summer has been the Ruby Red Grapefruit. The thing is, they are expensive! Like $1/each compared to 12 oranges for $3.
  13. I read that the main guy yelling "DEA" was doing so with American English and American accent. What kind of mercernary from America would do that? I work with a guy who was born in Haiti and messaged him first thing this morning and he was pretty distraught about it, so I think's not a popular will of the people type assassination even if he wasn't the best or most popular President.
  14. Hey, if guys get to claim "but market forces and eyeballs/ratings!" as a backstop defense for why they get paid 100x more, then women should get to take advantage of their unique abilities in social media to do the same. Fair is fair.
  15. I started what a lot of you would call a "fad diet" and can echo some of the comments on this page. I lost some weight doing nutrisystem and I can tell you that the only reason I started it and stayed on it when the going got tough, meaning I got hangry and irritable while trying to change my mindset about food and eating, was beacuse it was convenient and it was simple. I didn't have to count the calories or know about nutrition. I didn't need to add more time or find more time in my day for healthy cooking and shopping and cleaning disihes. I simply ate the yellow packaged food for breakfast, the blue one for lunch and the red one for dinner and the purple ones for snack. I saved time during the day and the thinking was done for me. Most people don;t just ride a bike, we have to learn with training wheels.
  16. I wasn't meaning any offense, I've just flown business before on older planes (British Airways) and saw that even First Class was around $10k a seat which I thought was astonishing. I mean, to be frank, I don't know that I've even heard of anyone purchasing those seats and assumed they are only there for upgrades or the occasional millionaire flyer. I had a colleague join my small firm right before Covid-19 who came from a very large firm and act very confused when he expensed a first class ticket for $7,000 and everyone looked at him like he slapped our mothers.
  17. There is a whole different world out there and you people are living in it.
  18. The mom by far is the problem here. Seriously wow people
  19. Not well versed, how does the point situation work with Qatar. Is there a partnership with a domestic carrier like you mentioned AA with BA? I imagine you have to have points because those seats must run $10k each out of pocket.
  20. I think the next step is going to be a track where there aren't gardes and any academic rigor and definitely not a degree conferment. just a "football/sports track" like an informal classes type thing.
  21. That Dean Palmer reference sent me into a wormhole on YouTube looking for Dean Palmer highlights, which took me to some mid-90's Ranger era videos. I forgot how much I loved the 1996 Rangers uniforms and looking at the fans and executives sense of style here, I can't believe it's been 25 years.
  22. Dean Palmer. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while.
  23. My experience is that the Peloton is not worth it. My wife liked it at first, but it quickly became a laundry basket. Luckily I was able to return it on day 30 of the 30 day free trial period and wasn't charged for anyti8ng
  24. Rewatched Forrest Gump for the first time in many, many years with the kids. The language was a little rough for our tastes, especially during the war scenes, but to be expected. Soundtrack 10/10.
