  1. Are yall forgetting that Mack stayed in Austin and was even given some bullshit title for 4+ years after he was fired? He had no power then and will have even less now. He's an old man who wants to be patted on the head.
  2. I thought it was decent. I liked the Leach story. And the story about the team watching the USC-ND game. Not an "amazing interview," but interesting enough for me to listen to the entire thing.
  3. Damn 5 pages of handwringing because Mack is moving back to Austin. Do you guys imagine him walking into CDC's office and saying "Pack your shit, I'm the AD now!"? He's 73 and hasn't been relevant since we shitcanned him over a decade ago. Nobody cares what he says or thinks. He's wants to sit up in a press box on gameday so he can be cheered when they show him on the jumbotron. That's all this is about.
  4. Texags has been a gold mine since we bitch slapped them. They've been in an existential crisis ever since.
  5. Holy shit there are still Charlie defenders?
  6. A lot of people wrote Dubose off because he had knee surgery in HS and didn't look the same after. Don't know where he's at now. The narrative on Livingston is he's a white guy so he must suck. Butler is a mystery.
  7. Most people thought we needed two more before Mitchell left, so I assume the number is now three. Need to land a difference make, a big body (ala Norton), and maybe another depth piece.
  8. We'll have a lot more than two open roster spots. No reason to leave them open. Three more DTs, a RB, a DB, a TE, and a WR (assuming Golden goes pro) would be ideal. I would take an OL as well, but it doesn't seem like the staff wants to.
  9. Most middle-aged heterosexual men would be all over just about anything. Doesn't mean we should lower our shitposting standards. There are far better examples of the female form.
  10. Where is Ole Miss in the NIL hierarchy? I figured they'd be bottom half of the conference but apparently not.
  11. Nice. Two more with hopefully at least one difference maker and the DL should be set.
  12. I would consider the UCF kid a "difference maker."
  13. Hopefully it's a sign we're not taking the LB from AZ with a torn ACL. Wish the kid luck.. just somewhere else.
  14. It seems obvious to just split into east/west divisions along the Mississippi/Alabama border. They'd be about as close to even as you could hope for, and all the major rivalries would stay intact. 7 divisional games and 2 cross divisional, so you play everyone every 4 years. Not perfect, but there is no perfect solution with super conferences.
  15. If Brady hadn't won another title he'd be off fishing somewhere.
  16. Belichick sucked as a GM. And he's 72, so you're gonna be stuck with his son in 2-3 years. No thanks. But if you're UNC I guess you don't have much to lose.
  17. He can be a career college QB.
  18. Obviously mobility is better than no mobility. I never said otherwise. I said you don't need hero ball from your QB if your team is good enough. If our team was slightly better (if we traded kickers, for example), we would've beaten the most dominant program in the sport the last 5 years with a 'statue' QB.
  19. Sark is attempting to build (and arguably already has) a roster that can compete with the UGAs of the world without relying on hero ball from the QB. That was the Mack formula, and we saw how it all fell apart when Gilbert ended up being a bust. We don't want to be the team that occasionally knocks off the Bamas/UGAs of the world, we want to become them. Otherworldly QB play would be nice, but with this defense we really just need like a 7/10. Unfortunately Quinn was about a 6.5 Saturday. If he makes a couple more throws we win.
  20. It's not just play calling, but also halftime adjustments. I'm assuming Milwee already plays a role in that, and it hasn't been great. Seems like we could do better. But it might be a step in the right direction.
  21. Sark's resume as an OC speaks for itself, but when you look at our second half performances this season (and throughout his tenure), there's clearly a problem on the headsets. Whether it's due to not seeing the entire field from the booth, or just be task-saturated, adjustments aren't being made. The question should always be 'What Would Saban Do?' He would hire an experienced OC (along with a shit ton of analysts) and fucking fix it. We'll see if Sark can put his ego aside and do that.
  22. Our ST problems come down to personnel. That's a Sark problem.
  23. I think we'll be fine at OL next year, although I wouldn't mind taking a transfer OT just for some experience. It's the 24/25 classes that concern me, specifically at tackle. We've signed 2 true OTs (Baker/Brooks) the last 2 cycles. If Goosby is one and done, we're almost certainly hitting the portal. Not a dire situation (like DT), but we need to crush it in 26 like we did in 22. It's the single biggest reason why we're finally good again.
  24. I think Brooks could be a monster. Not sure about the others. When it comes to OL development, half of them probably won't pan out (even with Flood). Which is why I'd like to see us take 5 every year. It's too important a position to put all your eggs in one basket. DL is a little more predictable, but you still need plenty of bodies so you can rotate guys. We look ok at edge, but we've fallen way behind on the interior.
