Now evaluate Sark. Especially the "losing when he shouldn't" metric. Feel free to start at either being up by 4 scores before halftime to OU and losing the game, or giving over over 50 points to Kansas at home. The same people who were clueless about Charlie Strong and Tom Herman are today touting Sark.
-
How does one become a "NIL source"?
-
But we learned nothing from the mistake that was Tom Herman. That's the problem. How did the people who made the decision to hire Tom Herman miss so badly? No one cares. And that is why we are having to cycle through yet another brain fart coaching hire who never should have been hired in the first place.

I entirely believe Billy Liucci would report that an 8-year contract for $125 mil works out to be $13mil/yr. Redneck math.
-
The only reason the pro sports teams get to impose a salary cap is because Congress has given them anti-trust exemptions. Otherwise, it would be collusion to inhibit free markets. That, and collective bargaining with the union. I'm guessing your take on "the next step" is a bit off base.

Oh, Dian. "In her lawsuit, she said Barker required her to have oral sex with him in his dressing room about twice a week for 3 1/2 years, first by using force and later by other means of coercion. Parkinson also said she had intercourse with Barker six or eight times out of fear that she would be fired if she refused."

If everyone is abiding by the same set of rules, how is it cheating? Hate the game, not the players.

I have to laugh at the aggys (yet again) awarding themselves future national championships, this time based on their perceived "recruiting prowess." In reality, the ags "rise to power" began in Feb 2013, when Kevin Sumlin's historic recruiting class was the mere "tip of the aggy greatness iceberg." Since that day, "Linebacker U" has "been on the precipice" of greatness. And here is where they aggys aggy it all up. The only reason "the sleeping giant" hasn't dominated college football since their "rise to power" commenced, is that other fanbases have been bribing referees. Those not believing this need only to look back a few days to A&M's game against LSU where A&M was robbed of a sure victory because the LSU alumni paid off the game officials to make sure LSU would win the game. As long as other alumni are paying corrupt officials to make sure A&M loses, it doesn't matter in the least who A&M recruits, which players they put on the field, or which plays Jimbo calls between now and the time Nick Saban turns 82 (which is how long the ags will be paying Jimbo's salary based on his current contract). Until A&M starts paying corrupt officials more than other teams, Jimbo's "quarterback whispering" and his "elite recruiter" status mean nothing. Zip, zilch, zero. Corrupt officiating will always negate recruiting and "elite" coaches. Yet, aggys continue to focus on recruiting and NIL as the "key" to their "rise to power." So, as long as the aggys fail to build a fund to bribe game officials, they will continue to struggle to break .500 in conference play, and that level of ineptitude will never win them an actual national championship to begin to fill their cavernous-yet-empty "Hall of Champions." Being aggy, the ignorant rubes will continue to fail because of the insanely obvious fact they do not have a large enough fund to bribe corrupt game day officials. I assure you, next season will have numerous instances where corrupt game day officials plainly "throw the game" against the aggy, and the aggys will be completely confused about how to change things. aggys are simple people who will never figure out how to combat this situation. Forget recruiting, you rubes. Your irreversible rise to power started in 2013. That part you have had solved for almost a decade. Build a fund to bribe corrupt game day officials, start lurking around stadiums with briefcases full of cash about four hours before kickoff, and then you will be unstoppable. But until then, all your efforts will be wasted and we will continue to laugh at you because you just can't figure it out. We have all been keeping "the sleeping giant" at bay by bribing corrupt game day officials. And yes, the 1963 game included. Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha! Whoop!

They also have never seen an aggy team post a 10-win season over FBS competition. The last time they managed 10 FBS wins in a season was 1998. aggy, Vanderbilt and Kentucky are the only S!E!C! teams to go that long without posting 10 wins against FBS competition.
-
Who wants to bet that after four years of Jimbo, a number of aggy players opt out of this Gator Bowl and show the players no longer have their vanuted "team first mentality." I do expect Leon to play in the bowl game. I have no doubt Leon isn't "NFL focused." Next up from Olin - how Jimbo has the team headed in "the right direction" and that next year is aggy's really big year.
-
The ags have a thread up venting their complete confusion over how Baylor has a better athletics program than theirs. Interestingly, not a single mention of “since 1975,” “since women were admitted to A&M, or any other the the bullshit “historical references “ they try to use to explain how A&M is “just like Texas.” How is it that the references they use to calculate “aggy greatness” don’t apply across the board when comparing aggy athletics to all other programs? https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/3253431 The people of Texas deserve better than Texas A&M.

That clip of the aggy/LSU game is awesome. Notice on 3rd and 8, with the game on the line, The A&M receiver (Preston) sets up as a receiver five yards short of the line to gain (actually at the original line of scrimmage). He gets bailed out by some poor tackling by LSU, but what are the outside receivers doing setting up at the original line of scrimmage in that situation? Again, on 3rd and 2 and with the game on the line, the aggy TE sets up at the original line of scrimmage, behind the sticks. Not good coaching. And then there is Leon. Our old friend. On the first long pass play, the one that went for 31 and took the ball past midfield, look at where Leon is (picture below), not as the ball is in the air, but when the ball was caught. Leon was doubling the TE with #20, and left the WR completely undefended. He never saw that WR until after the ball was in the air. How does anyone think that is going to get him a job in the NFL? And remember, at this point, Leon has four years of experience on the field. Don't ask me how, but he does. Want a bonus laugh? On the 31-yd pass play (below), Leon doesn't even touch the LSU receiver. The aggy player who finally pushes the LSU receiver out of bounds is #17, who in this frame is still at the LSU 42-yd line, 10 yds away from the ball carrier. From six feet away, Leon still can't get the proper angle to make the play. On the last LSU drive, with the game on the line, five straight passes to the right side of the field. Just staring down the receiver the entire time. The QB never had a doubt where he was going with the ball. The two big plays were for 31 and 28 yards. What do you think LSU identified as A&M's defensive weakness? Targeting Leon and it paid off. On the touchdown throw, I have no idea what angle Leon was taking. I don't think Leon had a clue either. But the referees are to blame for A&M losing that game. Sure thing, Liucci. Whatever you say.

FOUR YEARS into Jimbo's tenure and his receivers aren't setting up past the line to gain on 3rd down with the game on the line. Watch how many times Leon O'Neal was targeted (right half in a 2-deep safety scheme) with the game on the line. And Billy Liucci insists the reason the ags lost the game was because of incompetent refs. I hate to have to explain to Billy Liucci that it is futile to build a scheme based on throwing short of the line to gain on third down with the game on the line. That may be "aggy smart," but it will never be more than that. And let's not delve into "aggy smart," because Billy will never survive that discussion. Jimbo will never be called out for his weaknesses as their head coach because far too many ags have either bought into or perpetuated Jimbo's "he-ro" status. But watch that video and tell me that team is well coached. I can point out a lot of ways the Texas team is poorly coached, but it is absurd to claim Jimbo has coached up the aggy football team to a point for them to be national championship contenders. Since showing up in the SEC (this round), Kiffin has done far more than Jimbo.
-
One Leon O'Neal can easily render a VY, Cam, or Jameis-type player meaningless. That's aggy's problem. Re-watch the final minutes of the aggy/LSU game. Jimbo has been there FOUR YEARS and still the receivers aren't setting up past the line to gain on 3rd down and the game being on the line. How long do you think it took the LSU OC to see when he had to have it, Leon O'Neal was the one to target. Not one coverage sack by the aggy defense, all were breakdowns in protection by the LSU o-line. And remember, Jimbo got a raise and a four year extension for this caliber of a team. aggy has always been able to recruit. They will always find rubes who get caught up in he-ro culture. But aggy hasn't had a single 10-win season over FBS competition in almost a quarter of a century. That includes the greatest period of success in the history of their program and four years of their latest he-ro "Jimbo the Magnificent." aggy will never be more than they already have been over the past 125-odd years (swidt?) Recruit who they want, aggy will always have their "Leon O'Neal" that shows up late when the game is on the line. It's who they are. It's turdition.

In 1960, A&M had more students than OU does today, so their "small military school" bullshit doesn't fly. The last school in the nation to give up compulsory ROTC was Arkansas in 1969. If I remember, Arky was doing ok in 1969. "Since scholarship limits...." Which year's scholarship limits and why was that year so important for A&M? 'DKR signed all the good players...." No, in the 1960s, A&M had the largest recruiting classes in the SWC. Not Texas. It's what aggys do. They discard facts that don't fit into their narrative, and fabricate events when it suits them. No one ever actually does any research, which is why they mocked and ridiculed for shit like their "12th Man" fairy tale. Liucci is just doing what aggys do. He was taught to think "the aggy way." And because it is heresy to suggest "the aggy way" be reformed, aggy football will always be aggy football, Jimbo will always be Kevin Sumlin with a bigger paycheck, and Billy Liucci will always be Billy Liucci.

I am well on record with respect to my thoughts concerning the UT coach. We shouldn't have fired Herman when we did, but Eltife insisted on it. Had we been more thoughtful, we would have looked at which coach we really wanted and held on to Herman until we had a deal done with the right coach. However, egos dominated and it became imperative that Herman be fired. At that point, we were forced to choose from a relatively unattractive list of options. Now that it is becoming more obvious by the day that Sarkisian isn't the answer, egos again are the paramount consideration and the idiot who precipitated this clusterfuck has to have his ego fed, once again, so we go around blaming the kids, the fans, the weather, and every other scapegoat to avoid mentioning fucking Eltife doesn't know shit about hiring or firing college football coaches. Not only should he not be unilaterally making the decisions, he shouldn't be allowed in the room when the subject is being discussed. The problem isn't necessarily Sarkisian. The problem is Hartzell doesn't have the balls to tell Eltife to stay in his fucking lane. Hartzell is a lot of things, but he ain't no Bill Powers.
-
The entire problem at Texas is sorry-assed leadership. Bill Powers nixed the Saban hire because he wanted to reinforce the authority of the president of the university when the governor wanted to run the university through the BOR. It was the right thing to do. Now Hartzell hands the athletics department over to Kevin Eltife, and when he fucks things up, the kids get all the blame. Eltife needs to be held accountable for his decisions. You want to run things, you have to be accountable for your decisions. When that principle is firmly implanted into Bellmont, things will improve. As long as we have people making bad decisions and being retained to continue to make bad decisions, we will continue to get subpar performance. This shit about not holding people accountable because they might be embarrassed if held accountable is the problem. Eliminate the incompetents and retain the people who make sound decisions. It's not a tough concept for successful organizations.

For the past quarter century, the players A&M has recruited have struggled to break .500 in conference play. Miles Garrett was the #1 pick in the NFL draft and while at A&M never played on a team with a winning record in conference play. Not once. Manziel was the greatest player in aggy football history and only played on a team with a winning record in conference play once. No aggy player in our lifetimes has ever played on a team that played a game that if they won would have put them in line to compete for a national championship. Why does anyone think this is about to change? Jimbo Fisher has had sufficient time to change things at A&M. He has changed nothing. They are the same team under Fisher that they were under Kevin Sumlin. Nothing that goes on in College Station has anything meaningful to do with college football. Or any other major collegiate sport. They claim to be a "military school" yet can't even compete in NCAA rifle sports. The ags have no concept of competition. They are not a culture that understand the essence of competition. Teams do not go from struggling for relevance to national powerhouse in one season. For the entire time Evan Stewart will play at A&M, the aggys will struggle to break .500 in conference play, just as they have since before Evan Stewart's parents met each other. Meanwhile, many teams will be in the mix for national championships while Evan Stewart is at A&M. None of them will be affected by anything that goes on in College Station. As long as A&M continues to be run by aggys, A&M will never compete for a championship in any major NCAA sport. regardless of which players they recruit. In year four of the Jimbo Fisher era, he still hasn't coached his players that on third down, receivers need to not break off their routes until they have passed the line to gain. That is basic shit, yet it is an unknown concept at Texas A&M. And the fuckers still extended his contract with six years left on it through 2032. Texas A&M is to be mocked, ridiculed, heckled, and laughed at. Period. Regardless of who A&M convinces to pray at the statue of the great white supremacist and to worship "The Great Texas Negro Killer," A&M will never recruit the types of players necessary to compete for a national title, and they certainly will never affect the fortunes of the athletics program at The University of Texas. Here endeth the lesson. Good luck, Evan. You are an idiot. I hope you wake up to that fact soon, and don't turn into another Leon O'Neal, who at age 22 will spend the rest of his life as a punch line to endless jokes among college football fans in Texas.
-
Texas A&M is standing in the way of no program. Texas A&M is not blocking any program in the nation from competing for a national championship. The bullshit that A&M is a significant impediment to any program, other than Texas A&M, is comical. If Evan Stewart wants to play Uncle Tom in College Station, let him. He will be yet another in a long line of players that struggle to break .500 in conference play. That is his choice. The reality is that none of the teams in the hunt for the CFP this year are affected in any way by anything happening in College Station, Texas. It is possible to win a national championship in college football without being cockblocked by Texas A&M. I know you don't want to believe that, but it's true. Texas' problem is Steve Sarkisian, not Texas A&M.
-
Nothing going on in College Station has anything to do with the problems facing the UT football program. The problems facing the UT football program are all based in Austin. The quicker people grasp that fact, the better.
-
When Texas was up by four touchdowns over OU in the second quarter and still lost the game, it was a hint that the problem isn’t that A&M is kicking Texas’ ass in recruiting.
-
Calzada telling aggys to suck his dick isn’t a good sign for his relationship with the fanbase. He obviously hasn’t bought into aggy fairy tale shit. Store that little kerfuffle away. It will be revisited at sometime in the not-too-distant future.
