looks like we’re going after priority targets?- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
We don’t know. Like I said, I doubt they will tell us directly. Were they still there because they were reassured by our Govt that the risk of complete collapse was minimal to zero? That’s what some prominent people said pretty explicitly. Now that the conditions have changed some will be remaining because we are leaving them.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
I guess it’s a numbers game. If there’s 3,000 Americans still in Kabul, is it worth the increased engagement? I mean 3,000 dead Americans is why we’re there in the first place. Basically any financial, political, or human costs of extricating these people would be consequences of the initial botched withdrawal attempt.- COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such

A donut a day keeps the risk of severe illness and death from covid away.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
No estimate on Americans left. I suspect that will be leaked later. No way there will be official statement, “There are an estimated 5,000 Americans still in Afghanistan. They’re in our thoughts.”- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)

This new Lorde song has gotten stuck in my head. I like the trippy vibes. Also, the album has one of the most memorable covers in recent history.- Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.)
Timely Via SIM Swaps etc. I found a couple short videos that explain a bit more about self custody. She’s easy on the eyes too.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
These stories will get a lot of airtime. Not just because this is an epic clusterfuck, but also because we’ve been there 20 years so there’s that many more veterans and reporters and civilian contractors and intelligence agents with skin in the game. You can’t just sweep this all under the rug with people like yourself.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
This is truly incredible. So @InkaUtexas@MillerEP if you were one of these Americans stranded behind enemy lines how would you try to get out? Feels like a giant hostage situation incoming.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)

For those that have wondered, like me, why people were still there despite our announced plans to leave. They have defense contracts. Old article but evidently some projects slated for completion in 2023. You need to be careful. It feels like you’re close to playing the blame game. Just trying to help out before the hall monitor gets here.- Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.)
Of course. Not your keys, not your cheese. I’d encourage everyone that has more than a passing interest to take custody of their own coins. It’s meant to be permissionless and trust minimized. Leaving your coins on exchanges takes all of that away. Also, moving coins into cold storage gives you some technical knowledge about how the tech operates. The three most common hardware wallets are Ledger, Trezor and the ColdCard. https://www.ledger.com/ https://trezor.io/ https://coldcardwallet.com/ Ledger and Trezor are pretty similar offerings. They support a lot of coins. I have a couple Nano S wallets from Ledger. The desktop interface is pretty slick and makes it pretty fool proof. The ColdCard is Bitcoin only and the most secure option. Can be set air gapped, but more tech savviness required. If you get past that level and want more security for Bitcoin specifically there are a couple companies that offer multisignature (multi-sig) options for Storage. I use Casa but I’ve heard good things about Unchained Capital. They’re based out of Austin and are really the driving force behind the Bitcoin scene that is growing quickly. https://keys.casa/ https://unchained-capital.com/- COVID-19 vaccine discussion
When confirmed, they believe the turnaround on a new booster would be 95 days.- Nonfungible Tokens (NFT’s)
I’ve only followed from a distance but some of this stuff is unreal.- How Is That Chain Still Open?
My submission sadly would be Taco Cabana. I remember it being good back when I was young. In the Sean Elliott days. Even in college I thought it was fine. The last couple times I've dared to stop there it was God awful.- Tell me what's happening in Afganistan (no CR. Can't we all just get along?)
