  2. Thanks Ox
  3. got a couple hours back! Now these guys just need to run them and tire them out in anticipation of next week's match.
  4. Exactly the ones I need to look up.
  5. We're serious about this competition. When I say serious I mean, we're seriously trying to exit it lol Liverpool: Kelleher; Bradley, Koumetio, Gomez, Tsimikas; Henderson, Morton, Oxlade-Chamberlain; N. Williams, Firmino, Minamino. Subs: Pitaluga, Konate, Milner, Keita, Jota, Gordon, Bekc, Quansah, Woltman. Some of those names are made up, aren't they?!?
  6. Fair point. I like the lead at the moment
  7. Heads up, my kid saw some of the yellow kits at the Nike outlet at Grapevine Mills, may be other locations as well for $29.99. At least a few mediums.
  8. Appreciate all the responses. I watched the series and that's what got me interested. For someone who knew little about it, they do a great job imo breaking the basics and teams and individuals down for consumption. Followed this season pretty closely and it was a great time. The last laps, was about the craziest things I've seen in sport in my 50 years. I don't know enough about the rules to say anything definitive so leave that to everyone else. I'm sure Mercedes/Hamilton have reason oo feel hard done by, but there seems to be enough to sway the decision as being ok. What ended up, was nutty, crazy and maybe the most exciting few minutes in sport most of us have lived through, for better or worse. That being said, it seems odd and wrong to me to fluctuate between teams/drivers, but I guess that's the way it goes. Can't wait to see the excitement in the short offseason. Can anyone post good sources of news/podcasts/etc.? Been relying on the BBC/this thread/the race thread on OB and would like to expand my information.
  9. So here’s a newbie question and feel free to attack me. How do you root long term? Do you stay faithful to the team or the driver? Can you change teams if/when your driver switches? It seems more clear cut when teams have many more players. But in many ways, the main driver IS the team that I’ve been able to see.
  10. Picked a great year to start following the sport, and assume most years will be a disappointment. This thread reads like most in any sport where people try act like they’re objective, but look anything but. I really did think there couldn’t be any douchery poster than the soccer snob, who’s been watching longer than anyone and has real reasons for supporting his team unlike the newbie bandwagoners but it seems like the “I’ve been watching F1 guy since…” beats them out by a good margin lol.
  11. I find it hard to believe the 7 time world champion's first reaction to someone slowing down in front of them is to not try to pass them. That is literally his job. He doesn't wait for instructions to overtake anyone at any other time. The most logical explanation to me, is that he was not doing so to create an advantage (or decrease Max's potential advantage) by not passing at that point. In fact, that's what the statement said. To say "oh I'm just confused" is silly. "Whilst accepting that the driver of Car 44 could have overtaken Car 33 when that car first slowed, we understand why he (and the driver of Car 33) did not wish to be the first to cross the DRS [line]. However, the sudden braking by the driver of Car 33 was determined by the Stewards to be erratic and hence the predominant cause of the collision and hence the standard penalty of 10 seconds for this type of incident, is imposed."
  12. Fair, to an earlier point in this thread he acted confused in the car as well.
  13. If that's true, then Hamilton knew what was happening and was "not confused" as he stated?
  14. I'd bet if Max comes up on someone slowing down, he won't slow down as well and drive right behind them until they brake check him, but will simply pass them. I haven't watched for as long as some, but that seems to typically be the goal of most race car drivers, pass cars in front that are going slower. Hamilton was confused though. Not sure why. Seems to me to be a pretty basic principle of the sport.
  15. Picked a good season to start following. Lots of unique things to the sport and lots that are pretty much the same(mostly fan stuff). had to listen to the broadcast Sunday and realized (to me) how much the commentary means. The track is so big and so much going on, you really can't tell what is going if you're just watching with no audio, unlike a football/soccer/baseball game. Wasn't planned but worked out ok. Had to go back and watch a bunch as I was distracted. Good times, can't wait until Sunday.
  16. job done.
  17. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to win, but even when they make a break, I'm all like so? Just a little more time to go...
  18. PHEW!~ Oxlade-Chamberlain is back on and moving soundly.
  19. just able to come back on since the goal WTF happened to Ox?!?
  20. from the BBC live feed That's 20 goals this season in all competitions for Mohamed Salah. It's only 7 December! Ridiculous.
  21. Taki Taki Taki....
  22. kind of weird. Not sure I expected Alisson/Salah/Mane. Nice to see Naby and Joe back in the subs. Have to admit there's ~4 guys I'm not sure I've heard of before.
  23. Similar team sheet for Shrewsbury and Milan?
