  1. Last month I said this: Well, it turns out I'm oh so very wrong. Apparently IMG has one of the country's best biology departments. They even have internships! So I guess IMG is a destination for those serious future scientists! Would cross post in not teacher thread, but she ain't so hot, so don't care. It looks like she got an eye graft and put alien-way-too-big eyes on. Maybe she has a nice body, in which case blindfolds help (on either her or me). Anyway, I salute IMG for their fierce dedication to the pursuit of applied science!
  2. LOL reading is fundamental. My oops. You're right on both counts. Still, I can see a lot of support in the district for removing the book. Lotta anal sex loving trophy moms here won't put up with it.
  3. Anal Lube issue: FWIW, Kara King is the mayor of Bee Cave. So she's already in the political realm. She did a great (not kidding), no GREAT job of marshaling the resources to get us power during the freeze. My guess is that coming from her, it has some clout. They'll either remove it or put some type of notice on it. Other than that, as Hawkeye Pierce once said, there's not a machine invented that can measure the amount of indifference I have on this subject.
  4. For instance take a man and a woman at say 140 lbs. On average, the man is 48% stronger in upper body and 33% stronger in lower body. And if they train, those difference skew even more as men have more muscle fiber (~approximately 43 percent muscle and 15 percent fat vs. 36 percent muscle and 26 percent fat in women). So a well-anarobic male is actually much stronger than his same-weight well-worked-out female partner. And the women need the larger degree of fat for healthier bodily systems to function normally. And since a good portion of this weight is in the upper body for men, they are more likely to be able subdue women. My guess is that this guy was a good 50-60 lbs. if not more than Gabby. Not much of a problem for him to control what he wants physically at age 23, skinny arms or not.
  5. So that makes him pretty much spot on for the last 15 years.
  6. Daymn, just looked and saw you best me to that brilliant joke by one post. Don't sue me for intellectual copyright, I blew all my money on TV equipment today trying to find the game.
  7. Bullshit. I looked all over the TV today and didn't see the game on anywhere.
  8. It's going to move west very slowly once it moves again, plus we have a high that has to get out of the way, so if you're wondering about the UT game, this all shouldn't happen until late Sunday into early next week. Shouldn't be a weather problem for the last-second squeaking out of a win over Rice.
  9. True, but it's now supposed to stall and come back west, pretty much heading for ATX as a weak system (just a rainy day) later this week. Then it'll move NW and just die. Yeah, right, I know, sure. But at least it's a shot.
  10. The storm is now projected to stall over W. Louisiana (good, NOLA could really use the rain, they've had a drought lately), then come back west, hopefully into CenTex. Would enjoy seeing that for the rain, since this is yet another case of "too far east" to do anything in Austin. Of course yeah, right. But I hope anyway. Chance of brief rain band coming through today but don't count on much if anything. I'll keep an eye on it and hope it comes back this way - will be nothing more than a buncha clouds by then - 95% of its potency will be gone.
  11. Yeah but that's like me being a competent crossing guard. Actually, that's not a fair comparison - a crossing guard has some degree of accountability. Being on City Council is an absolutely jackwad job. They really never have to do shit, except to meet and talk/pontificate. And when they do meet to decide shit, they completely screw it up - every time, but no one cares because they live in a city that will rubber-stamp them because of their political leanings. Lumpy's job is uber-easy because she's the "underdog" lone "conservative." She can take stances and put out lots of tweets and take pictures of herself hard at work, so hard that her poor sleepin' daughter has to use the floor. It's right up her alley. Can you think of one single thing she's done in the last year that's resulted in some benefit for the city? Meeting in front of 15 hungry pizza-gulpers and bellowing about needing more police money is so easy my old cocker spaniel could've done it, even better. Or run some bizarre tweet-o-movie about calling out to some homeless person to demonstrate her "care." What a hoot! And when the votes actually do need to come, it's a walk in the park for our "lone maverick" who will usually be outvoted on every single thing - but hey she's the underdog. And the fact that she's outnumbered almost always 9-1 makes it easy for her not to get too big for her britches - if she parades some cause and it goes down the shitter 9-1, she looks idiotic. So it's very easy for her right now, she just exists, throws out some public service tweets, and enjoys the fruits of being the lone hunter. I guess what you're saying is she hasn't FitLump'd herself into public ridicule, but that was never going to happen, and that's like congratulating me on walking through a hallway without throwing up and saying what a good job I've done. She hasn't done shit, not one single thing, except pad her narcissism. But I guess in comparison to the nuclear trainwreck that's been the Adler-Casar train to incompetent hell, she looks good. Right now this is perfect for her - nothing to answer for, being the "member with a cause" underdog, and showing us how terrific she is.
  12. I already had a .25" shower in Bee Cave late this morning. Never forget.
  13. Equally awesome were the 6 completely unblocked, untouched Arky defenders ending up at the point of tackle. Man I love touch football!
  14. This is actually a relevant issue. Will NIL $ cause some of these athletes to play worse? Seems like 2 out of 3 pros when they sign "that big" contract they've been waiting for tend to suck a lot more (just my own opinion). Will NIL take their focus off of the task at hand once they start dipping into revenue and profit? I'd be a few Ameros that for many it would. And while it's a nice idea to bag their scholarships or lousy play, that's not gonna happen, so this is now the way it is.
  15. Sometimes models get a little crazy. Kind of like when they detect heavy hail, their rain totals get into the 100's. Significant new info: - Storm tracks continue to push a bit east (yawn, surprise, whatever). Less likely Austin will get much. One reason is that the center of Nicholas reorganized and re-formed about 150 m. NE of where it was. - Storm will not slow down somewhere in Sabine area or whatever, now forecast to keep moving, and in fact speed up. - This means yeah there will definitely be some flooding along Centex coast, but probably not catastrophic. My guess is ATX will get a few areas with 2"-3" (if they're in a tropical downpour or two) but most of us, not a whole lot, maybe half inch. Back if/when this changes. Edit: However, one thing I don't like about the new scenario is that Nicholas is forecast to be a little farther out in the Gulf, for longer. Although models are still keeping it as a strong TS, I'm worried it could strengthen to a hurricane - this happened with the last 3 storms in the Gulf (exceeded model forecast) due to the very warm Gulf water (84° at least) around the Western Gulf coast. If this happens and Nicholas slows down, flooding could be bad in a given area. But hoping that everyone will get by with maybe 7-8 inches at the worst down there on the coast. We'll see. At least the new info puts it out of the region by later tomorrow evening.
  16. Well, besides offense, defense, and special teams, I thought we played pretty well.
  17. After reading your description, but only do I want to go back on the ledge, but jump off of it. LOL other than that Mrs Lincoln, the play wasn't too bad, was it?
  18. This (bold). You can't make a track until you get a center. Now it's got a center (TS Nicholas). Within about 8-10 hours I can tell you with some certainty the rain forecast for Texas. Back when that happens.
  19. Never occurred to me until now that Pete's last name starts with "quit."

    TEXAS QB TALK

They should just have the QB's run plays this week without an offensive line. Whichever quarterback can throw more accurately going full speed backwards or sideways fleeing from 3 defensive lineman should get the job.
  21. All I know is that this is the game where we bring in undersized, slower, very academically brilliant recruits. We need to steal those from Rice to have any shot at future success.
  22. He was good very early with Clark Ryan. But I stopped listening shortly thereafter specifically for the reasons in bold. I think he did have some talent but simply got way, way too conceited for any relevance. I had better things to do in the mornings than to tune in and listen to some really psychologically messed up dude go on various rants etc. But I congratulate him - he's gotten paid a pretty penny for basically being a egotist. Great work if you can get it. I actually stopped listening to most talk radio in the a.m. and rarely listen anymore (I used to at least 3-4 hours a day). It was like having a mental enema. On the people I disagree with, they're usually jackoffs. On the people I agree with, they're usually parrotting shit I already know. Back to music and I'll stay there. I listen now mostly to an online oldies station and I love it - the host knows tons of shit and is right up my alley, always popping some great trivia. Talk radio is so passè and uninformative now. And Dale/Bob was nothing but banal idiotic talk (BTW like Bob, always have, know him well personally, terrific guy).
  23. If this batch o' Gulf rain does make it into the ATX area next week, even an inch, kiss goodbye absou-fucking-loutely to our Sept. mini-summer (100's). I guarantee it personally. If we don't get the rain and the ground stays dry, always a possibility of one or two more three-digiters. But with this summer and the pattern this year, I'm still saying that our last 100° day this week (whether earlier or the next 1-2 days) will be our last one for this summer go-round. We're approaching hard math where the N. Hemisphere is simply too "indirectly" sunned to heat up. I think BTW latest 100° day evah in ATX is Oct. 2. Avg. last 100° day - oops! - Sept. 1. Tell 2021 to read the the got-damn manual. So fuck you heatwave, move the fuck over, earth maths is taking over.
