  1. Quinn is more than capable of the deep pass. Could somehow share some highlights of Quinn dropping the deep pass?
  2. Well, the cloak room is boring. Time to jump in the Quinn Ewers thread for some controversy.
  3. Oh okay. I was married to a full Irish woman for over twenty years so I am fully prepared to explain the Irish-American experience to my kids. Lulz no, I don't understand it but I just teach my kids to be proud and embrace their heritage that I don't really understand. So ...
  4. I remember when this video came out a lot of people empathized with the robot.
  5. Your posts are bordering on insulting. Personally, I think if you are a white dude opining on Mexicans you should just fuck your own face.
  6. Same in Comal. They did explain it was required by the Texas Secretary of State and didn't understand the legality of the requirement but they needed to do it. When it actually happened I felt like I was asked to play a game of three card Monte with blank cards.
  7. I voted earlier this afternoon. The demographics were a lot different than usual. I spotted several groups of young women that arrived together to vote. I've never seen anything like that before and they easily out numbered the truck bros in their Punisher/Murica shirts with Ray Bans worn backwards on their head.
  8. The entire Seth Meyers segment is worth a watch.
  9. To me this depends on where I am driving. Out of state in a city I've never been to then I prefer a turn by turn. In the city in SATX or ATX then a general route will suffice. Several weeks ago my daughter wanted to be dropped off at a friend's house "located" south of Fischer and near the lake. We are on the opposite side of the lake. I asked for an address because I don't like driving around like a lost jackass and plugged it into the map in my truck. Me looking at the directions.
  10. Well, they are helpful if you have never been to a particular location before. Maps, what's the point?
  11. My eldest can't remember shit either. We lived in Stone Oak in SA right when he started Kindergarten before moving to Spring Branch. He swears he has no memory of us living there or moving. His younger brother can describe our previous house, neighbors and holidays before we moved. A few years ago during Christmas when my oldest said he has absolutely no memory of our previous home I seriously considered telling him to see a neurologist.
  12. Well, this might be the source of your memory problem.
  13. I have a friend that I met 15 years ago and I didn't know his name for the first year we knew each other. When we met I didn't think much of him and didn't bother to remember his name. To be fair it was a slow developing friendship. After some time we started to hang out and I realized it would be a bad idea to ask his name. When I met his wife I kept listening to hear what she called him but she never used his name. The first time I called him by his name I didn't say it with confidence. It was like the Mulva episode of Seinfeld.
  14. I meant I don't think it's recognized by the scientific community. I assume there are a lot of cognitive processes occurring that might make it seem like it's photographic memory but their are other explanations for what is occurring in your head. Granted, it's a really long time since I studied in this field so my information is likely out of date.
  15. It might just be that people are able to visualize more internally but not actually recall mental photographic memories. I could be wrong but I don't think photographic memory is an actual thing.
  16. Lonesome Dove does play out like a movie in the head but I think that's because McMurty is an amazing writer. I don't think photographic memory is a thing. From what I recall, inner vision is part of the inner monologue process. Some people are able to visualize things in their head more than others. Occasionally at work I will stop looking at people in technical meetings and stare at the wall and visualize what is being discussed. Sometimes, I will even point at sections of a diagram that doesn't exist while describing logical architecture. I am also aware that it looks weird.
  17. Yes, golf, batting and pitching in baseball are sports where occasionally my brain would jump in uninvited and start talking too much. I suspect Quinn might have a loud inner voice.
  18. Yeah some don't have it and even for those that do it varies from person to person. There are some people who experience an inner monologue in some situations and not in others. I once heard about a study on NPR that looked into clutch athletes that struggled to recognize their own voice when it was played back with other voices. The discussion was on how their inner monologue wasn't always present and kept them from being prone to self doubt in clutch moments.
  19. I actually did notice your bullshit earlier but still.
  20. Exactly. However these people are sociopaths. If you are ever bored and want to go down a rabbit hole look up effective altruism and effective accelerationism. It will explain the thought process behind Musk and other Tech billionaires. It's some crazy ass shit.
