  1. I've been a consultant for both AE and CPS Energy and in my experience AE is a shit show. Both are publicly owned utilities but one is run way better and contributes way more to the funding of it's citizens. I've also done work for SAWS and had to go before CoSA council before and I agree, San Antonio runs a pretty tight ship that is very cognizant of their citizens opinions. I will say both are better than the shit I dealt with in Houston.
  2. You can't use the Comanche as a baseline for all Native American tribes. They were the Vikings of the Southern Plains. They kicked the shit out of the other tribes and kept the Europeans out their territory. Hell, they defeated the Apache and took their territory. The French couldn't expand west or the Spanish north because of the Comanche. Mexico and Texas would get raided regularly by them and pretty much every government's flag that flew over Texas failed to defeat the Comanche. They had a very spartan society where they just hunted and waged war.
  3. Her character is a cliche. Mattie in True Grit pulled the same stunts but was a lot more likeable character.

  5. Shambala by the Beastie Boys.
  6. Her last name is...
  7. I don't think any filmmaker messed with my head like David Lynch. That dude's mind must have been a trip. I remember going to a late night showing of Lost Highway. One chick in front of me broke down crying and left, another one said she was freaking out and left. Some fat Anton Lavey looking creep kept rubbing his hands while muttering "yes, yes." There was a couple behind us that bailed on the movie too. After the movie I said something like "I feel like there is a darkness on me." lulz That movie was such a mind fuck.
  8. That was my setup in middle school so Elon definitely is doing the same.
  9. Facebook meme, well played.
  10. That's in everybodys blood.
  11. There is no proof that Mark Zuckerberg personally pushed for the TikTok ban. However, Facebook did spend more on lobbying in their history months before Congress passed PAFACA. A couple of years ago, Facebook got caught hiring a Republican consulting firm to run a smear campaign against TikTok. This was right before Marco Rubio got worked up amd started calling for a ban. Zuck said he had no idea about hiring the Republican consulting firm and someone else within Facebook must have hired them. As far as the lobbying, well that was about election integrity. Personally, I believe Zuckerberg is telling the truth because he wants what is best for society and isn't a lizard brain sociopath.
  12. I'm not sure they would take him. If he's lucky maybe some last chance JUCO somewhere.

    Thank you Bert

    The reactions in this thread.
  14. I think he will be a RS-Sophmore next season. Hopefully he will be a contributor next Fall.
  15. Yahoo Personals, was the next evolution. Yahoo pretty much offered a similar walled garden as AOL but without being the ISP.
  16. Yes, if you consider playing tummy sticks a fight.
  17. This would be a gift to Zuckerberg instead of a guillotine. Yay!
  18. As you mentioned earlier, you are not very good at conveying your thoughts. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here and I disagree with the banning of TikTok. Only a fool would think banning TikTok would create security. Foreign actors are already running rampant on American social media platforms, data brokers export beyond the U.S. borders, U.S. citizens have no ownership of their personal data and there are virtually no legal protections for U.S. user data. The monetization of personal data in the U.S. is a cancer. Banning TikTok is like giving a cancer patient an aspirin.
  19. Damn, I didn't realize we were losing so many from the D-line.
  20. Yeah, there were just so many people on AOL in the 90's and most major cities had dedicated chat rooms. It was a very target rich environment.
  21. Many moons ago, I worked in the web content monitoring business. Primarily, web security gateways, email filtering and DLP products. I had some involvement with China in the past. On several occasions, I got caught tunneling web proxies through the great firewall of China. I received several notices from the PRC's Ministry of Information Industry detailing the violations. It was primarily about unfiltered internet access and the use of encryption. The PRC doesn't want their citizens accessing information outside of China but they get really pissy about encryption. They want to be able to observe everything.
