    Yesterday was OTA media day for the Chiefs. Worthy didn't participate in Wednesday's OTA by the way, pulled hammy. A lot of topics were brought up during the interviews this wasn't done to address Butker but address the media in general regarding the Chiefs. It's pretty clear they were just threading the needle to avoid controversy. They will continue to be vague if questioned further. There are a lot of extracurricular activities going on with the Chiefs that will likely overshadow Butker's speech.

    I know someone with a kid that fits this description that was accepted by aggy. However, they didn't get into Mays so there was some turmoil about just doing the L.A. thing or going to business school elsewhere.

    The concentration has diluted over time as the area has filled out. I remember the first time I attended a school event at SVMS and something was mentioned about aggy followed by an outbreak of "whoops" across the audience. It was unsettling as I realized I was surrounded by cultists. Have you ever passed by this house?

    I told this story on Shaggy about 11 or so years ago. One time my son got in a lot of trouble for pummeling another kid. When we confronted him about why he beat up this other boy my son stood there in his number 12 Longhorns jersey and blurted out "He kept calling Colt Cart McCoy." My then wife snapped at me for my reaction. Looking back on things, I probably directed too much negativity on aggy and not enough on ou. We have a lot of aggy in our area and they are so easy to dislike. Mistakes were made.

    My nephew graduated from Wisconsin and described it as a "do not recommend." He was a Texas kid that didn't fully appreciate the light Texas winters compared to what he experienced up north.

    Have y'all considered near by state schools that waive out of state tuition? My youngest didn't want to do the CAP program but wanted a flagship school and the "experience." He ended up a biochem major north of the Red River. It's not something I like to discuss but my son is happy with his decision.

    I should also mention that when you are Gen-X and drinking beer on a Sunday afternoon don't bother yelling "Play some Skynyrd!" at the Gen-Z band. They just don't get it.

    There is definitely a need to balance guidance and freedom for one's kids. Guidance shouldn't be very restrictive and there needs to be room for kids to explore to discover their own passions outside of their parents interests. One of my kid's developed a passion for music and we were not a musical family. But when he requested it, I paid for lessons and purchased instruments and accessories. I don't know a damn thing about music but I supported him the best I could which came down to financial support and just being interested in his musical efforts.

    In my experience, this is not very common. You don't really see this type of behavior beyond the little kid levels. There is a reason youth sports participation drops off after 12 years old and it's usually a lack of interest by the kid. I would also add that I think club sports under 12 is ridiculous. Most of the insane parental behavior takes place at the little kid levels not teen.

    I'd be down for skimming trillions. First thing I would buy is Twitter and rebrand it as ShaggyBevo. I would heavily invest in NIL deals to make sure aggy never recruits anyone over 2 stars. Finally, I would funnel money to small FCS football programs to buyout the HC from aggy every year.

    I had a friend that saved up for that jacket. I think it probably shaved off a few years of his life but it was a nice jacket.
