  1. Very original. I am sure no group of degenerate assholes have ever thought of something like this before.
  2. Meanwhile over at Texags.
  3. I don't think Burr is political. He is really good about pointing out the absurdity when it comes to controversial topics. He tends to tee off on things people take too seriously like Maher thinking of himself as a legitimate intellectual.
  4. Back when America was great Catholics were beaten, imprisoned or executed.
  5. Fine. @atomheartbevo is a major asshole that hates Houston because it fucked his girlfriend back in the 80's.
  6. I meant nobody is blaming Harris county. You are insisting that this is about shaming Harris or something which is a weird take.
  7. I think he has always held this position. I remember him saying the same thing back in the Dubya war on terror days.
  8. No isnt that was a ridiculous idea. This is just stating that the cities will not be represented by their state government until they use their numeric advantage to overcome the Texas GOP.
  9. You are being a tad touchy. It's not like AB said the Houston Rockets should eat a bag of dicks. He is pointing out the fact that Harris county is the biggest dog voting wise in the state and it's a major reason Harris county has been targeted. AB made it a point that the big 4 cities combined could make a difference with higher turnout.
  10. There is something about baseball that gets in your blood and makes it hard to quit. I have seen a lot of grown men "chase the dragon" when it comes to baseball. Many players have a strong desire to keep trying to level up in the sport even if it's detrimental to the future. It's similar to aging musicians that keep waiting for their big break that will never come. Baseball has a lot of opportunities to play after high school but many of those are not very promising for a good financial future. The responsibility of a parent is to guide their almost grown child to make good decisions. It's on the parents to teach their kids about opportunity cost and what that means if they pursue college baseball at a JUCO or any college including D1 if it doesn't contribute to their future and inevitable job outside of baseball.
  11. Someone that does a poor job of putting on a facade to hide their true intentions. Usually, they struggle to mimic normal human behavior due a lack of social skills. As a result, whatever they are being sneaky about comes off as creepy. The vibe is, "that dude is weird, I think he is going to sniff our seats when we leave the room." Although, he might just be waiting to pitch Amway products but he comes off as a sweaty mouth breathing pervert due to their odd weaselly personality.
  12. Personally, he doesn't bother me but I admit that he does come off as a weird creep breathing weasel.
  13. The sky was blanketed all morning with ominous thunder and the only thing the storm cell unleashed was a fucking sprinkle. This was the chihuahua of storms.

Star Trek Next Generation did it better.
  15. Yeah, youth games were not heavily attended by parents back in the 80s. I remember going to my oldest son's first school football game when he was a 7th grader. In my mind, I was expecting it to be like my middle school football games. I was expecting about a dozen dads standing around and maybe a handful of students. I was wrong. I walked into a mini-stadium that was at capacity. There was an announcer, cheerleaders, band music and a half-time show for 7th grade football, which is the oddest level of football.
  16. As a little kid, I was a big fan of the Von Erichs during their glory days. I didn't really follow wrestling once Kerry joined the WWF. All of my memories were of the WWCW days and I was only vaguely familiar with the family tragedies. That scene playing Tom Sawyer triggered a lot of kid nostalgia that I forgot about. I wish they had spent a little more time on the glory days and the Freebirds rivalry, I loved hating those guys. There was a scene where Kevin was working out and kept doing a flip back and forth over the top rope. He does that move in a 6 man tag team match and the Freebirds throw him out the ring but Kevin flips back into the ring. I remember thinking that was superhero shit as a kid. I was hoping to see that match in the movie. As far as the end of the movie.
