  1. I agree. Make very short single-topic clips. We all want to consume the media but might not want to watch a whole 20 minute video.
  2. Dana Point has gotten stuck in my head as a place I’d like to retire to. We drove through there once on a weekend trip down to OC. It’s just super pleasant.
  3. I don’t know what your wife does in a hospital but California is one of the best locations in the world to be a nurse evidently. The state limits the patient/nurse ratio and hours to reduce stress/improve care. Also, I believe the Union is very strong and they make more money here than most other places. I live in the East Bay Area and it fits all of the requirements you’ve mentioned (Asian-White mixed couple as well). Our local schools in Moraga are significantly Asian and mixed-Asian. It does get pretty damned hot out here though and housing prices aren’t cheap.
  4. Due to recent events in the Transfer Portal, the Sooner football team has refreshed their team logo.
  5. Who else’s Apple Watch is giving them high heartbeat warnings?
  6. What was the atmosphere like for that game?
  7. Sort of there with you on the whole thing. But the money was always there for the kids and Texas *trying* to play honestly was just hamstringing us. The Aggies ‘22 class probably pissed off a lot of folks and I’m also grateful for the dudes on here who got the whole Texas NIL machine up and flattening the competition. My joy about being in the CFP two years in a row, winning the B12 championship and playing for the SEC championship are is not dampened by the realization that the players are “in it for the money.” At some point when coaches are making 8-figure salaries and 100s of millions are being spent on facilities and being earned in merchandising, it’s only fair that the players who give the brand its value are able to benefit from it.
  8. Hahahaha. I think it's hilarious that they think they even have that kind of juice. I'm sure there's an email from the SEC waiting to be unearthed somewhere where they admit that getting UT in the SEC was the long-term goal all along. Because they'd be idiots to not have that as their long-term goal. The aggies were just the bait.
  9. I don’t even understand it. They’re cut out from magazines like an anonymous hostage letter? That’s the impression you want to give, that your recruits are being held against their will?
  10. I don’t know if I qualify but I’ll give it a shot. Plus I only live about 90 minutes from his office.
  11. I don’t think it was “Texas Brass.” It was almost solely the initiative of a number of folks on this board and Bobby Burton if I recall correctly. Most of those guys have said that the administration was very skeptical of them.
  12. I saw another post on there where someone was refuting that they got “dominated” other than the two goal line stands. Bro, if you can’t punch it in from within the 5 yard line after 8 attempts with 4 of them at the 1 yard line, you got dominated.
  13. Hahahaha. I paid $1200 to watch Texas win the National Championship.
  14. Guys 6’3” but throws sidearm at the height of a 5’9” QB.
  15. The theory I'd heard was that putting him up for AG gave them the "cover" to kill the Ethics Report. He was told he had to get out of Congress and this was the deal he struck. He'll probably get rich from speaking engagements to other pervs.
  16. Maybe this isn’t the thread for it but bear out my musings. My wife is Turkish, so I travel to Turkey frequently. One thing that’s always bothered me about being there is that the culture encourages selfishness. Everything is about trying to get one over on everyone else. From their behavior in traffic to ways to cheat regulations and rules, everyone is out for themselves. My BIL is in construction management. He said if the law required 20 rebar in a concrete pour, they’d do 15. If it called for 15, they’d do 10. I’ve said in the past while I was there that it’s extremely hard to recover from a culture like that. That outlook is the only way they know how to think about issues. I’ve often wondered how a culture devolves into an attitude like that and I think we’re there. Trust me, I’m full “leopards eating faces right now” as I’ve stated earlier in this thread. People who cared about others have been beaten down to the point where they’re callous and actively enjoying the suffering of others. It’ll be interesting to see how our country evolves from here.
  17. I don’t really GAF about that poster. But there are plenty of women out there running businesses that partner with GCs regardless of their Xitter username.
  18. She didn’t say she was a GC. She said she partners with GCs. So she might run an interior design business or work for a lumber yard. You know, the kind of people who would have to hike prices due to possible tariffs.
  19. Right there with you. That chart that showed how each income class would fare under each candidate’s economic plan had us FIRMLY in the black. I live in California with my two daughters, so we’re relatively safe in that regard. We can easily absorb an increase in the cost of goods. I’m exploring which investing strategies to use in the case of massive inflation and an economic downturn. The people who most wanted to vote him into office are the ones who will be most hurt by it and I’m here for it. I’m in the leopards eating faces phase now.
  20. It would have been hilarious if she voted for Jill Stein.
  21. I hope he has to be buried in a coffin made from the warped and twisted Douglas Fir products from his store.
  22. CHEATING = Letting people with vaginas and/or dark skin vote.
