  1. Someone taught our Dline and DB's how to play all of a sudden. A lot of missed tackles at the start of the game, but at least they were in position to make the tackle..
  2. If Card keeps gaining confidence as the game goes on, we might win this, the way the D is playing...:)..I hope Ewers can come back though..
  3. Impressed with the defense. They haven't let any of BAMAs big plays take the wind out of their sails and deflate them like in games in the past decade.. They are getting after them...Not intimidated. Seeing them pressure the QB, haven't seen that in a long time...:)
  4. Card looks scared and confused, not good...
  5. I am the same, grew up hunting, and never saw a use for, and never had dreams of owning an assault rifle. I think the general view of people that don't want gun control is that "if you give the government an inch, they will take a mile" so don't give them anything...That is not how I think. As far as school shootings, if parents were doing their jobs then these kids, most of them, would not have access to the guns unsupervised. I keep all of my guns in a safe, and the key is hidden away. My kids know the only time the guns come out of the safe is when we are going to target shoot or hunting. Otherwise, they don't leave the safe. It was the same with my parents. However, since we live in the world we live in and there are irresponsible people in the world, I do believe we need better gun control laws, I just want the laws to be reasonable unlike some red flag laws I've heard of where a neighbor or a mad ex or whoever can say you threatened them somehow and then you have your guns taken away until you prove otherwise. I think laws like that are unreasonable.
  6. I wish we had 2 linebackers like AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter...Those bastards were relentless, but VY was Superman that year and their was no Kryptonite...That was one heck of a defense Ohio State had that year...
  7. I think the Founding Fathers and our forefathers in general would hate all of us regardless of Party affiliation.
  8. I could see the competition being a little close just because of Card's experience in Sarkisians offense, and Ewers just beginning to learn it, but even if it was close, that is an indictment on Card's ability to improve, and you have to go with Ewers as the starter because he has a higher ceiling...
  9. Depends on the time of year. In the middle of Summer, it can still be in the high 90s late into the night..It usually starts significantly cooling down at night in late August/ early September.
  10. It is downright brutal. I was building a chicken coop in the backyard this past July for my wife...Picked the wrong month to work outside for sure in Phoenix..I don't ever remember it being as bad to work outside in Texas in the Summertime as it is here...The only advantage we have is less insects. I remember swarms of insects; especially, mosquitos attacking all Summer long in Texas...The insects here have to be prehistoric badasses to survive in this heat..
  11. We got thousands of immigrants from Cali and other states in the last few years, not the normal snowbird type immigrants of the past that are retirees.. Thats gotta put some new athletes in the pipeline... My son plays High School Football here in Gilbert, AZ and the sports teams at his school have been getting new kids from multiple states, but mostly Cali...
  12. Yep, even the AZ Cardinals have some of the same issues, there are so many transplants in Phoenix from other states that they are usually going to Cardinals games to watch the other team they are playing against...
  13. They would have to get the talent from another state. Arizona doesn't produce much. Maybe 2 or 3 highly ranked recruits a year, and possibly a few others that don't get any love from recruiting services... The football players always go to out of state schools like USC, Texas, A&M, OU, and Georgia recently.. You would think with the population boom here there would be more in state talent eventually...
  14. Yeah, I think location of the college gets overplayed a little. If it mattered that much, schools like Arizona State or Colorado would kick ass in recruiting. Putting players in the draft; especially, high in the draft is a big deal. That has been used negatively against Texas big time lately. I think both OU and Texas will see big dividends in recruiting in the SEC. The games/ matchups in the SEC will drive excitement for both schools..
  15. I can name a couple of many anomolies in the election that make no sense to me. 1st how did Biden get to 81 million votes without taking any from Trump? Trump actually got more votes too than his first election. That never happened in history... 2nd How did Trump win all but one of the 19 Belweather counties and both of the Belweather states and still lose? Can you clear those up for me?
  16. I totally agree, and don't condone the actions of those people and don't even know any of their political affiliation or motives. I'm just saying a lot of people like myself have moved own and "accepted" the results of the election but still have questions with no answers about all of the anomolies in the election that do not make sense. But, we are asked to accept it and I have accepted it for the good of the country as 3rd worldish as that sounds. I wish that Capitol event had never happened though.
  17. Well I guess we should just turn it into a 3rd world country with a Dictator and none of us will be able to question major statistical anomolies in elections at all? And, you are right, this country is going into the shitter quickly....
  18. Im voting 9 wins just because I think Patterson will either help out with the Defense or end up taking it over because PK becomes a total bust. At the very least, having Patterson on the staff with his old boss as AD has to make PK and maybe even Sark sweat a little and get motivated to put out a better product..
  19. The Arizona Schools in September? You mean when its still like 100 degrees here or close to it, and we are begging for Summer to end? I would be more concerned about the Jet lag the USC/UCLA athletes would experience flying across the US every other week. Would think that would get old really fast.. The dryer winter cold in the mountains is way different than the wet/ freezing cold in the Midwest that cuts right through you so it may have some affect..
  20. If the other team scored second, that was a insurmountable lead to overcome for those Texas teams, might as well change the channel and save your liver the agony of watching those painful disasters. I have no ideal how Strong was harolded so much as a recruiter because he sure as heck did not seem to be any kind of a motivator...
  21. In the Charlie Strong era, if the other team scored first, it seemed like a guaranteed loss...
  22. True, maybe with NIL they can entice kids to stay loyal to the school. Maybe guarantee them some kind of bonus if they stay the whole 4 years...
