When I was at Millers (been this summer sometime) they were switching over to the M&M pits which are basically oylers. So it's still wood with an electric assist.
I want a Whatataquito which has potato, sausage and bacon in it. Why do they not have that? Yes i know I can add that to a regular taquito but I don't want to pay $18 for a taquito. You'd think this would be an item they offered. Just an "everything" taquito.
Stopped at the Frisco HEB last Saturday evening, slipped into a good parking spot got out of the truck and noticed a line of about 40 people outside waiting to get in the store. Hopped back in the truck and went on home.
Man I've heard the commercials and some talk on the car dealership BBQ joint. So it's legit huh?
That HEB was nuts yesterday from all reports. When they open the one in North Plano hopefully that will help settle down the folks a little bit. BBQ Snob said it's getting a BBQ joint in it also.
How about Terry Blacks opening a new location in Lockhart? I knew I had read that the owners of Terry Blacks and the original Blacks weren't social anymore but to think you open up a new location in Lockhart is pretty ballsy.
That HEB plate; the sausage looks like it was warmed up in the oven. Hopefully it tasted smoky. HEB about to open up here in Frisco/Allen area gonna be happy be able to go in there and source some meats.

I didn't know they closed up shop. At once point he was going to expand and open a burger joint across the street. Is he still doing that or is he completely out?
Was that Smithville not handling it or completely pandemic related you think? Mickelwaithe is one of my go to spots when I'm in Austin. Not every town is going to support craft bbq.
I'm sure it was discussed on here with the expansion talk but saw 2M opening a second location. A 3 million dollar project would scare me to death.

If you've never been to one of these or Troubadour, etc. You basically get a bite or two at each place you visit. So it might be a taco or a quarter of a sandwich, etc. So it's really one of those things where you get to enjoy a wide variety. You also start to get picky because everyone has sausage and then you find that one joint who's serving a taste of banana pudding. I see folks carrying those trays, etc. I don't get it.
Just wander from station to station eating your food on the way to the next and enjoying it while it's warm and fresh.
If you want some Sunbird BBQ they will be set up in Dallas this Sunday for Father's Day.

Yes I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to insert a link.
Railhead is solid. Reminds me of what BBQ used to be, ribs good french fries and sauce. Not gonna turn a lot of eyes on Instagram but dang happy when you leave. They has some huge schooners of beer too.
