  1. I remember Mount Union was a powerhouse in the 90s/early aughts. I only caught a couple of games, but they were pretty fun to watch. I used to get them confused with Fork Union Military Academy for whatever reason. I don't even know why Mount Union popped into my head. I hadn't heard about them in a long ass time.
  2. The players opting out started when? I remember one player opting out and it was kind of a big deal at the time, and then slowly it began happening more and more. As for the bowl games— they're not really good or bad, they're just more games to keep us entertained because we will be crying and whining to watch William & Mary take on Mount Union on Tues the 27th or whatever. I take full advantage of the games, and I'm also happy we don't suck at baseball anymore. And softball. After March Madness, NBA playoffs/finals (if you're into that), all we have left is baseball and softball, then a dry spell for about a month. But let's be real- we're all here because football reigns supreme. Plus recruiting kicks up a notch.
  3. The one about Thurman Thomas really surprised me. Like, how tf do you just not get surgery and still punish defenders? To this day, only AP, Gore, and McGahee are the ones that absolutely floor me. I honest to God thought McGahee was losing that leg. It wss so brutal. I have never torn any knee ligaments, so that's completely foreign to me. My sister tore her ACL/MCL in the early aughts playing college soccer and all she said was the "pain" was extremely annoying, and almost impossible to sleep with. She said it's not so much you're in constant pain, but more your brain can't turn the pain off once it hits. After surgery she said it was just sore, nothing more. I assume everybody is different since she was back to practicing at around 6 months. Full practice, not in rehab. Whomever her doctor was he was great, especially considering she tore it her freshman year and still finished her career, and that wss almost 20 years ago, so imagine what they have now. I did tear my rotator cuff, and I shit you not, the pain was so immense that I couldn't have sex or wipe my own ass without getting tension headaches. That shit fucking sucked, and not because I couldn't have sex, but simply I couldn't even shower properly without getting literal blinding headaches and passing out in the shower. I wanted to cry, but can't do that because girls are around. Can't see me in agonizing pain because manly man. Fuck that. I finally after a week set up surgery. I could not live like that.
  4. I don't know, I like both. The euphoric feeling is quite bad ass. The LSD, nah, that was hyperbole. I don't want my last minutes seeing flashing lights and hearing screaming. It's a lose-lose for me, regardless. No amount of drugs would do anything. I actually make the experience worse by looking that shit up and hearing about them on podcasts. I am glutton for punishment. It's like when I watch shark attack videos before heading to the beach. I don't know why I do it. It's like I want to feel the fear and adrenaline or some shit. Or maybe that's just my sociopathic side telling me we do still have emotions.
  5. I don't know about dog walking Miami, but I expect those tards to win. Cristobal is dog shit as a HC. He's basically aggy Jimbo Fisher in the ACC. Heck of a recruiter, shitty HC.
  6. Well, looks like I'll be driving this year and the years going forward. I hate airplanes. I have aerophobia/aviophobia, so i only fly if absolutely necessary. Like, your ass better be trapped under a big rig and dying. I really don't get how people just get on airplanes and go to sleep. I think if I want to die in a plane crash I should probably take some LSD or MDMA. And xanax. All I can think about is if that pilot is having a really shitty day and hasn't been taking his meds for a month, he just caught his girl cheating with a friend, or he's been dealing with some shit internally like that pilot from Malaysia airlines 370. He just said "Fuck it. Every mf'er on here dying today." Pass.
  7. Oh, that's right. I totally forgot about that. Now I remember why I don't ever stop there. Yeah, I believe that's pretty much all they care about. Maybe baseball? I know softball for sure, as you mentioned.
  8. Ah, OK. Gotcha. Makes sense now. POS rep Oh yeah, for sure. No doubt.
  9. You're actually inviting degenerates from this board to your house? Are you insane? Are you huffing keyboard duster? I can only imagine how long the smell will linger. I didn't even think you would invite anyone from here to put out a house fire. The liquor alone would cause your entire neighborhood to collapse. Hide your good silverware.
  10. Best of luck to you, fam. Appreciate you repping University of Texas for 3 years. Hope you do well in life. Hook Em 🤘
  11. I don't know who she is, but I get a 70s vibe with that hair. Love her smile, tho. I can imagine every girl wanting her haircut. It's weird how hairstyles come about. It reminds me of David Beckham and every guy wanted his haircuts.
  12. I hate being "that guy," cause it's annoying, but you gotta be down with your punctuation marks, fam. So imma go ahead and add that comma for you. All love. Straight cash, homie.
  13. Oof. Tyrone Willingham smiled that day. Brian Kelly deserved it. This looks more like how Ryan Day approaches recruiting middle school children.
  14. Fuck that. University of Chicago is prestigious. I want them to fall into Sac State territory. Although, academically they wouldn't, but the least we can hope for is a William & Mary relevance.
  15. For sure it is. Our resume is better than half of the teams in the playoffs. But man, we have looked like run over dog shit on offense. The two teams we have equal recruits with — one we lost by a TD at their house, and the other brought a shovel and buried us in their house. Georgia is on a different level than Ohio State, in my personal opinion. I really believe the NC game will be UGA vs IU. They're just so complete. Anyway, yeah, to be honest, I'm kind of conflicted on it, but I also hope we don't lose three games again and find out. I hope this season has taught Sark you cannot sleep walk through a schedule, tinker with it mid-seaaon, then find something functional that works and expect to just make the playoffs. If they start allowing 3-loss teams in, wouldn't that just encourage more bad behavior regarding staffing when all they can do is convince themselves that they still have a rope to get in if X, Y, Z happens? That's one of the reasons why I'm happy they aren't letting those teams in, yet at least. We don't need Sark convincing himself that in year 8 Kyle Flood just needs more time. Getting left out could be what this staff and players need. Just like Georgia when they went chimpanzee pissed on FSU and not one of their draftable players sat out. That really, really pissed them off, and maybe that's what this team needs. Don't quit. Don't get complacent. Go bitch slap whomever is in front of you. Kill everybody. Work harder. Come back next season and start the murder spree over. Imagine Colin Simmons, Justus Terry, Sharma, Charles, Watson, Kanu, Lavon Johnson (tbh, I don't know anything about him), Zina Umeozulu all coming to kill you because they're still pissed they missed the CFP, got beaten by Ohio State, and Georgia body bagged them the year prior. I want those motherfuckers to kill everybody, and I want Arch to leave with a NC trophy and go be better than his uncles.
  16. Fucking pathetic. If you can't go 11-1 with that schedule, you should perma-ban yourself to the FCS until you get your shit together. My magical underwear wearing dude here is making too much sense. Do you know where you are? Straight up gangsta This would have been absolutely awesome. This is why we got gang raped because Kirby (fuck this guy) instills determination, killer instinct, and no quit in his guys. Fuck him, but God damn if he isn't a damn good HC. This guy fucks. Hard.
  17. Yeah, possibly. But I'm also not thinking like a fan, I'm thinking (or trying) like a below average IQ committee member would. If it can benefit them in some way financially, they'll probably do it. It's all numbers to them. If they see their bank account has a new deposit, they'll do what they need to do, and if that means they "vote" to allow a 3-loss SEC or ND in, nothing will stop said vote. You just have to get everyone, or at least the majority on the same page. They're all pathological liars and manipulators, so swindling one of their own wouldn't even cause the amyglada to allow a neuron to hit for an emotional response.
  18. It's the two G5, not one. I rread the rules maybe a year ago, and if I'm wrong, my apologies, but I thought it only said one auto for the G5? Like the ACC and Big 12? Seems weird that they can get two and two bigger conferences only have 1? I dunno, it's all left up to chance, anyway. Don't lose three games, win the games you're supposed to, and win games that are equal to you and we wouldn't be in this mess, right? If we had taken care of business and beaten one of Florida and Georgia, this would all be moot.
  19. I mean, the committee, again, isn't made up of CFB fans, it's made up of people who have their own agenda. They just signed a contract with ND for them to automatically get a bid if they are in the top 12 as an independent. There's always going to be backdoor hand shaking and deal making. If I'm wrong, that's cool. I would like to actually be wrong on this. If I'm wrong that means we can get in and I'm all the more happy for it. Who wouldn't want to see their alma mater/team in the CFP, regardless of 2-3 losses? I'm all for it. I'm just trying to think of it like a sociopathic committee member would.
  20. I actually read this in an Australian accent.
  21. Yes, I remember reading about that. Wasn't it in the 60s to early 70s and then I don't recall made a deal over it and they made finite scholarships?
  22. Yes! We are definitely on the same page! You're saying exactly what I'm saying.
