  1. To show the stark contrast between the winners and the bridesmaids, we will go with three schools who consistently win- Ohio State, Bama, and Georgia. I really don't understand why, if it's possible, Sark doesn't go get a high four-star or even five-star QB each class, rather than skip one or two years and land a low four-star or high three-star? If a kid is willing to come, take him. Not all these QBs are pirmadonnas and will fight for their chance. Surely Sarkisian is smart enough to understand this? This is how successful programs operate, see below- Ohio State: I will note that Urban Meyer did recruit Joe Burrow, but let's jut start with Ryan Day taking over as HC - 2018: Matthew Baldwin (#10 QB low four-star, now at TCU- mulligan inherited from Meyer): 2019: Justin Fields (#2 QB five-star #2 overall/#1 QB transfer five-star #1 overall); 2020: CJ Stroud (#2 QB five-star #29 overall), Jack Miller (three-star); 2021: Quinn Ewers (#1 QB five-star #1 overall), Kyle McCord (#8 QB high four-star #49 overall); 2022: Devin Brown (#5 QB high four-star #44 overall); 2023: Lincoln Kienholz (#11 QB high four-star #138 overall); 2024: Julian Sayin (#3 QB five-star transfer #20 overall/#1 QB transfer), Will Howard (transfer), Air Noland (#7 QB high four-star #61 overall); 2025: Tavien St. Clair (#3 QB five-star #4 overall); 2026: Luke Fahey (#31 QB TBD final ranking), 2027: Brady Edmunds (#11 QB high four-star #142 overall. Subject to change). Weather they transfer or not is irrelevant, it's the fact Sarkisian didn't just take a warm body to be nothing more than roster-filler. This is the program we should be modeling ourselves after. Since 2019- 2019: Justin Fields five-star #2 overall 2020: CJ Stroud five-star #29 overall 2021: Quinn Ewers five-star #1 overall; Kyle McCord high four-star #49 top-50 2022: Devin Brown high four-star #44 overall top-50 2023: Lincoln Kienholz high four-star #138 top-150 2024: Julian Sayin five-star #20 overall (#1 transfer); Will Howard; Air Noland four-star #61 overall top-75 2025: Tavier St. Clair #3 QB five-star #4 overall No issues recruiting top-50 QBs each year, transfer or not. Day wants to win, not pander. I hate that kiddie peddler as much as anyone else, but the motherfucker can recruit and knows to stock up on elite QB/WR talent and let them eat other into their spots. They currently havs 3 QBs on scholarship, with two being five-star and one high four star. Tex/Sark: 2021: Charles Wright (#53 QB - Sark gets a mulligan here because these were not his recruits outside of Xavier Worthy) 2022: Quinn Ewers (#1 five-star QB transfer, came home after Herman got the pink slip because he's a Longhorn for life and always has been) Maalik Murphy (#9 QB four-star #197) 7th rd. Yes I am thankful for all he did, good of bad , he got us back to back semis but more depth across the the entire offense, eoud it kill him to play freshman? I feel like I'm back in time with the bleed for the program instead of playing the three mst talented 2023: Arch Manning (#1 QB five-star #1 overall) grew up at Longhorn fan, just wanted to add that because it's pretty fucking cool. First year starting. Lots of ups and downs. A work in progress. ❌ 2024: Trey Owens #16 QB low four-star Not Ranked, but somewhere in the 300s) transfer candidate β“πŸ€ž 2025: KJ Lacey #19 QB low four-star Not Ranked, but somewhere in the 300s) seems like a baller, hoping for the best; Matthew Caldwell transfer. Gone after this season. 2026: Dia Bell #3 QB five-star #10 overall Texas: has three true recruited scholarship QBs on the roster - one five-star and two unranked low four-stars. 2027: Sark should be battling for Elijah Haven out of Louisiana that's committed to Bama. #1 QB. Gunner Rivers out of Alabama uncommitted. Brady Edmunds out of Cali committed ro Ohio State. If anyone knows anything about QB play, it's Ohio State. I couldn't care less about Kavien Bryant, unless he decides he wants to come here. If not, whatever. But he needs to change his philosophy to get the best of the best year-in and year-out. Fuck hurrt feeijgsm If Arch comes back, we're about to have 3 QBs on scholarship assuming Owens transfers, if not we're absolutely fucked. He's coming back, just saying. Then we'll get another transfer. This ain't it. This isn't how you succeed. You want the best of the best to go against each other. As an aside, we should offer Brian Hartline an ungodly amount of money to get us WR's. Motherfucker can recruit them like it's as easy as getting out of bed. Every year since 2015, Bama has had either a five-star or a kid ranked in the top-100. Three years he didn't - 2018, 2019, 2023, and they were still ranked in the top-150 overall. Bama: has three scholarship QBs on their roster - two five-stars and one top-75 high four star I understand people will probably disagree because...reasons. We almost lost our starting QB to a Mississippi State defense and then he came out the next game dealing. Let's hope he keeps it up, or else we're all going back to Caldwell should starts thread. Georgia: one high four star top-100 starting (Stockton), one high four-star top-75, one high four-star top-150, one high four-star top-200, and then one five-star for 2026, Jared Curtis, ranked only behind Dia Bell. 2016: five-star 2017: top-150 high four-star 2018: five-star 2019 - low three-star 2020 - top-250 high four-star (Carson Beck) 2021 - five-star Just an asidd, Stetson Bennet, 7 year student was a three-star and an obvious outlier. Since Kirby took over in 2016, they have had either a five-star, or high four-star QB each year. (four five-stars, one rop-50, one top-75, one top-150, one top-200, one top-250). They will have 4 QBs on scholarship if Stockton doesn't come back who are all in the top-150 or higher. If Stockton comes back they will have 5 QBs on scholarship with four being top-200 (198) or higher. 1- five-star 4- high four-stars We are the outlier with one highly ranked and two forgotten in the rankings, and Owens is probably transferring, although I don't know why he would. We bitch about the OL, but Sark's philosophy in recruiting but, QBs has to change. We're in hospice mode, just circulating the drain. We are so far behind programs like Ohio State we should be emulating. Our QB room is nothimg less than exsangauinated.
  2. If he were hired here, hypothetically speaking, and it won't happen anyway, if Lane were to come here he would be an absolute regard if he didn't try and keep PK and the defensive staff. As for offense, I would imagine he would either bring his own or hire new OL, ST, and TE while bringing over his current WR coach, George Mcdonald, who held the same position at NC State, who have had a pretty good WR core since he was there and before his departure for Ole Miss. He coached KC Concepcion, Emeka Emenzie, and Devin Carter are names I know he coached, and looking further he coached (I don't know if you know these names, but they're vaguely familiar) Dacari Collins, Noah Rogers, Wesley Grimes (reportedly runs a laser times 4.24 40), and Terrell Anderson.
  3. Eh, I don't know about "greatest ever," but we weren't as bad as we remember it being. We got absolutely obliterated by Georgia the firdt time due to lack of preparedness, but the second time we sent Beck to the ICU, and had no idea Stockton could run since we didn't have any tape on him, and still went to OT. In the CFP against fOSU, Cam Williams came back too early from his knee sprain against ASU due to both pressure because it was the semifinal, but also because we had no one behind him except Baker, who would have gotten destroyed (same with Chatman).
  4. Fml, I seriously don't want to be "that guy," but it's our* I'm sorry. I hate being a grammar Nazi when I also misspell and get called out, but it has to be done to equal out the assholery here.
  5. I would only go to Newark if I could smoke weed with Redman. Other than that, I'm gonna have to pass on that. I don't want my death and the last thing I city is a liquor store on a corner in Newark.
  6. May your lord, God, up your allowance and let you buy as much cocaine as your body can handle, good sir.
  7. We were driving through it, stopped, got some beers, and then headed to Cape May. It wasn't a decision that we were like 'You know what? We should stop in Camden. I've heard real nice things about it.' Lovely city. Beautiful atmosphere.
  8. Yeah, I'm actually worried for the guy. Like, he's in bad shape.
  9. If the OL that showed up for Vandy shows up for Georgia, I'll be quite happy. I never thought I would say this, but moving Hutson to LG seemed to make him look competent (horrendous RG), and Robertson at C isn't bad at all. Goosby is decent but by next year if he continues his progression, he should be elite. Baker is getting better and better each week, so I'm eager to see how he holds up against elite DE's.
  10. Nah. I was just being hyperbolic. I've seen some beautiful parts. We drove through Newark but didn't stop. We did go through Camden and it was just...nothing. We hit up a few bars, and then booked it. It looked kind of rundown. We went to Atlantic City (I don't gamble so it's not for me, but at night it's beautiful. Same for Las Vegas. I've never been and don'tcare to visit), Cape May, Asbury Park, and took a trip to Princeton to see their campus, which is quite nice. Their architecture is stunning. Obviously I haven't seen the whole state, but as Jimmy Jazz pointed out, apparently the rural parts are beautiful. I wouldn't mind seeing that.
  11. The most beautiful part of Louisiana is actually the LSU campus. We took a tour when we went Marti Gras and it is actually beautiful. They have these oak trees that are incredible. They have tulip trees hanging (I believe that's what they are), and Azaleas. I can hate the state and their sports, but I can't bring myself to hate their campus.
  12. I don't know if it's weird, but the most beautiful state(s) I've ever visited, if we're speaking of rural, are Vermont and Connecticut. Just quite honestly breathtaking.
  13. This man makes worse than decisions than someone lighting fireworks next to a gaspump. Just an endless cavern of stupidity with no echo.
  14. Antonio Brown blah blah blah, but who is this?
  15. Brooklyn is kind of dope af. It was nothing like I expected, but what I expected was something out of Wu-tang lyrics, when it kind of let me down. We drove through Queens and Staten Island. How did you like living in The Bronx? I think it was us, Oregon and Army, correct?
  16. I have, on a few occasions. I have family in NY and I asked to go there. Obviously I was being hyperbolic about the state. We visited Princeton, and we went to Cape May for a few days. Their architecture is beautiful. And we went to Atlantic City, but I don't gamble, so to me that was meh. We took a trip to Asbury Park, and had a great time, even though some people said it could be dangerous, but we didn't see anything I would call a 'red flag'. I will say the worst city we visited was Camden. Really bland and couldn't find anything to do other than hit some bars.
  17. It would almost be worth it to be poor in New York than be rich in NJ. That entire state inhabits the dregs of humanity. It's just basically society's sediment. Fuck that entire state.
  18. Man, I miss the days of Wisconsin having a bad ass running game. I think the last stud from that program is Johnathan Taylor, correct? He's been in the NFL for like 6-7 years. Seems like much longer.
  19. That's what I call tech's field at night. That place is cursed.
  20. If there was ever a moment for Jesus to make his comeback, I'd argue the window is wide open.
  21. Welcome your new Pac-12 overlords to the CFP, Texas State Bobcats!
  22. It's both a blessing and a curse to be great at football. You're now rich, but you have to live in New Jersey.
  23. I don't understand why anyone with any true aspirations for winning would hire James Franklin. I mean, it's James Franklin. He isn't just going to get better at coaching because "different school". If he's cool with coaching at a school who doesn't ever really see themselves as being truly competitive, VT would be a good spot for him. But he thinks more highly of himself than his hardware suggest. Even at a school like Penn State, where they're located in a hotbed for recruiting they hovered around #15 each year, and even #19-#22. That's failure, and I'm being kind. I'm not saying Penn State is some paragon of champions, but they have won a NC when most of y'all were alive, and they have won - 2006: Orange Bowl 2019: Cotton Bowl 2022: Fiesta Bowl 2023: Peach Bowl So isuffice to say their recruiting should be top 10 on location and football fandom with their recruiting being in-state, neighbors with NJ, Ohio, the DC metro area, near Michigan. It's not like they're Rutgers, Temple, or even Syracuse. With the CFP expanding to 12 teams, If both the SEC/B1G get 4 teams each in, it should be Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana (now, I guess?), Michigan and/or Penn State yearly, with Notre Dame being the only independent.
  24. Mostly wishful thinking, but if something isn't working on all cylinders by season 5, one would hope the outcome will be we upgrade. And yes, it's me wishing into the universe it will happen because frankly, I'm sick of 3 star, lazy developmental bullshit, and if we're ever going to win a NC under Sarkisian we will need a dominant line to do so, and where has it been? We can't keep letting QBs come here to die. At some point in the near future, if we've cycled through three top 5 five-star QBs and have nothing to show for it except for the occasional CFP appearances, then we've hit our ceiling and kids aren't going to want to play for a coach who isn't developing them. Since 2019 with a funny, but aloof moron you have Ed Orgeron, Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, Jim Harbaugh, and Ryan Day all winning championships, and you know what they all had in common? Great OL and QB play, and say what you will about JJ McCarthy, he's still a first rd pick. On one game alone we're hoping the OL is modicum at best. Every dude on that line outside of Baker has been here for 3+ years and we are...well, you have eyes. The only shining light that came out of them almost getting our former #1 overall QB killed in the 4th qtr against, and hang with me here, Mississippi State defense, is it built character and somehow made him play better the next game. Will that continue? We're about to find out.
  25. You should see my personal parliament of hopes and dreams
