  1. Yeah, they suck. I was just giving Fran Brown the benefit of the doubt, and UNC is horribad, but turns out they're both toilet residue.
  2. Whatever it was. I haven't seen the movie in well over 15+ years.
  3. 10 seconds into the game? Damn.
  4. Damn. Son!!!! Wiiiiiinnnngoooo
  5. I mean, sure, I can see that. But they also did not know if he would even make a roster, so the NFL money aspect I would bet plays little part in it. He is only asking for his medical expenses to be paid, he's not suing for $1m+. The original lawsuit was filed in May of 2024, so there was no way to even know if he would make NFL money or get the Frank Gore + Willis McGahee knee treatment, but without the recovery they both had. I mean, look at Jonathan Brooks right now. He's back on IR since week 2 or something because his knee won't heal. Anyway, my point being is the original suit was filed well before Cam had his breakout season at ASU, so the NFL $ played very little. It didn't move forward until January of this year.
  6. Hell yeah, Syracuse gonna beat tf out of UNC, and I'm here for it.
  7. When you're asked to not do something because someone could get hurt, and that someone is your own teammate, I would say considering he ended a guy's career because he wouldn't stop being a shit head could be considered a bad teammate, especially if the person in the wrong isn't taking accountability for their poor decision making. I don't give two shits what the Giants say. Do you think he's going to do that to grown ass men who will beat his fucking ass if he doesn't stop? He's a rookie drafted in the fourth rd, so of course he's on his best behavior. He's expendable, and he knows it. Let's see how he turns out in year 3 once he's comfortable, assuming he's healthy and not on IR. That was a nasty injury. Let me ask you this - Do you act the way you did in college when you were hired at your job? Fuck no. Everyone is happy and smiley at the beginning.
  8. Oh yeah, I forgot it was in front of his wife and kids. When I saw the video of him it broke my heart. Yeah, what's sad is had I not randomly clicked on that video on YouTube, I would have never known about it. So many players dying and it's barely spoken about. The NFL basically has your base level "concussions" meetings, but they don't give a shit about the pkayers because $$$. Boston University is the only university to actively study it full-time. Soccer players from the PL, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga also havw guys taking their own lives after their playing days and a few while they were still playing. Same with Hockey, Lacrosse, etc. It's incredible that we don't see it come up more often, even veterans from Special Forces and the front lines. It's becoming more and more common, especially with veterans from IED explosions, collapsing buildings, being shot at and shit falling all over you, guys falling out of helicopters at take off. It's nuts, dude. You post on Surly as a past time, no you're not.
  9. This is going to be a truly sad story when he's done with football. I mean it, I sincerely believe he'll go out like Junior Seau and now Doug Martin (although it's yet to be confirmed, but he had been acting erratically with mental health struggles that he didn't have before and broke into a home and died in police custody. He jumped out of a second floor rehab center two months before his death). There is just no way he doesn't have advanced CTE. None whatsoever. He's had something like four or five that I know of. I think the saddest story I heard about was a recruit named Paul Oliver. He was in the 2004 class, but if I remember correctly he played at Georgia. He was an active player in the NFL during his fouth season with the Chargers when he one day went home and shot himself. They checked his brain and at only 29 he already had advanced CTE.
  10. Dude, yes he was. I was actually thinking that as I was typing. That dude, like they say in Tommy Boy, could sell a ketchup ice cream cone to an Eskimo. Man he was a snake oil salesman. He and Jimbo, man. Kirby is just a whining taint, and the refs shit their pants with Saban, but Mack and Jimbo are two of the best snake oil salesmen I've ever seen in my life. They could nab 5* after 5* with the gift of gab, but then after they got their titles they just put their feet up. We did have Colt, but he was recruited during the VY-era, but his o-line, just like Jimbo's were absolute trash. The only difference is we still had Colt and Shipley who literally willed our team to the NC, and everyone knows had Colt not gone down we would have whipped their asses. Even the Bama players admit it, which is kind of shocking. On a side note, during the Big XII CCG, I don't think, even to this day, I've ever seen a more dominant player in CFB than Suh. Suh was what Aaron Donald was in the NFL. Just an unstoppable machine. He made Chris Hall, David Snow, and DJ Jones bend so far down as he climbed over them that they were limber enough to lick their own assholes. He tossed them around like they were a middle school girls soccer team.
  11. Well one has bone, ligaments and whatnot, while the other has been ravaged by CTE to the point they're not sure if they x-ray came back unfinished, or his skull is supposed to look like that with nothing but a void filling the space.
  12. Damn. Gotta keep chipping away. Just show him those Bijan pictures and explain this is what modern fans want.
  13. Dude, I love these. It's so simple, yet so beautiful. Love it. Actually, I hate myself for this, but those aren't bad. They should go back to these permanently. Just like UW and their 90s unis. I fucking love the UF helmet script no matter what color of helmet it is. White is the best, but they make it work with orange. I just wish Atlanta would make the red helmets with the black or white jerseys permanent. They're just so nice, especially with the black unis. I saw a video today on Deion when he was in Atlanta, and I forgot how sweet the red helmet with the white uni was. But give me red helmet w/ black tops and white pants all day. Just look how fucking sweet Bijan looks with the red/black/white combo. That's a clean ass look. IDGAF
  14. I like those unis. They look slick, and I dig their logo on the helmet. They don't need the big block letters. Imo
  15. I wish they would just go back to their 90s uniforms. Those were sick af. The last time they wore them was Oct 2021 against UCLA. #bringbackthe90sunis
  16. POS rep for using Egad
  17. Tulane is killing me. I don't think I can stomach this beheading anymore.
  18. But God forbid if you're a young man in his early 20s holding you back at a bowl game and touching you. Then he'll act like a bad ass.
  19. Me too. Is it a Texas thing? We seem to hire some soft ass coaches.
  20. Hired Nick Saban, got a lucky break in 2007, and fielded one of the top 8 GOATS of teams that we almost beat. Fuck you, Keontay Ingram. You stone handed fuck. As Fondren mentioned, this was before NIL, so they cheated their asses off. Charles Rogers once told a story about when he was recruited by Mich St, the reason he snubbed Michigan and Ohio State was because Saban had a "guy" who would pay big money for recruits. While he was at an all-star game, he tried recruiting an Alabama commit. The commit took the OV, got paid, and then still signed with Bama lol. RIP, Charles Rogers. 38 is too soon. We're the same age. One of the best college WR's I ever saw in college. He was up there with Roy Williams, Julio Jones, DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Calvin Johnson etc. Sucks it didn't translate to the league with his substance abuse issues. The only WR I'll say we will never see again is Randy Moss. The most talented WR to ever play the game. Full stop.
  21. Tulane. What is you doing, baby? I love me some Jeff Taylor, but I love it more when Tulane is actually winning and ranked. Yeah, I know they're 6-1 or whatever, but they look out of sync. But they did what James Franklin couldn't, and that's manhandle Northwestern lulz. A team that barely escaped a crippled UCLA who also happened to beat James Franklin. You hate to see it.
  22. Anyone who thinks officials don't pander to certain coaches are living in another reality. I've literally heard retired officials say if they get something wrong, they'll make up for it on another call, and they can be persuaded to turn a flag into a non-flag. See Texas 2024 throwing shit on the field. I hate officials, but they're human and they're in the middle of a game where they're also fans. They're told to be unbiased, but let's be real, that's hard as fuck to actually do, especially a big time game. Tex/UGA, LSU/Aggy, Bama/UGA, Tex/fOSU, fOSU/Mich, Tex/Aggy, etc. They know they hold the outcome in their hands. Literally every flag could be thrown just for the OL and holding, but choose not to unless it's us. Same for DB/WR match-ups unless it's so blatant they have no choice or they will be reprimanded.
  23. So next year we will have Arch, Lacey, and Bell. We all know Owens is transferring. Didn't someone say he's 4th on the depth chart? I dunno, maybe he ramps it up and stays, but we still need a superior backup. Caldwell is fine, but surely we can do better than that.
  24. He is not a great teammate. He's literally being sued right now by his now ex-ASU teammate Mattheos Katergaris over Cam being asked to stop jumping on a golf cart and it threw the guy off and it ended his football career by rupturing his triceps tendon after the cart collapsed, which happened in July 2023. It's still ongoing. He's being sued for $300k for medical expenses and other injuries.
