I'm agreeing with you. And yeah, it takes time to build a roster, but my point was that tech will take a decade at best at the rate they're going for high school recruits. They have to do better than just throwing money at 1-2 kids a year and hoping evaluations are spot on for the others. I mentioned John Sellers, but I don't know if he donates to the football program or just mainly softball (which is what I read he donatesld to). Also, yeah, know others donate and their names aren't out there, but that doesn't negate my initial response regarding the spending and building a deep roster.
I did not watch the Oregon/Indiana game because, well, it's Indiana and I don't care about them. I just heard they bodied Oregon, which maksa me happy. Fuck Oregon.
The SEC as a whole is an unknown. No team has looked truly impressive, and I'm going to disagree with you about aggy's win over a ND team that had a new QB and has a shit o-line. So other than that, they've played no one. They're fool's gold. They have road games at Mizzou, LSU, Tex, and at Arky (they'll beat them). Those first three are not gimmes. They will for sure lose to us and either LSU or Mizzou, or both. You're right about ou. They're dog shit with or without Mateer, and their defense is a joke. Ole Miss will make the playoffs, that's what I know. I absolutely love their passing game and run game. Kiffin is a dude. I want him at Texas so bad.
No one in the B1G is truly elite, elite. Anyone is beatable. Michigan's run game is outstanding right now, and I don't believe fOSU can contain Justice Haynes. I don't know shit from fuck about Indiana other than Cignetti is not human.
I haven't watched any Big XII games since we left, but I did see some highlights of your QB and he looked really good. And yes, your goal is to make the playoffs, which after looking at the scores, tech is dominating the competition, which is exactly where you want to be. So we are in agreement.
As for the Smith/Tate argument, Illinois did a great job, too. I'll admit that I was wrong and we both handled them. We're the only two teams so far. We're halfway through the regular season, but you have to admit holding a generational talent two years in a row is some great work. That kid will be a top 5 pick next year. Like Barron, Littleton will also be a first rd pick in 2 years, imo (subjective, I know. But he's shown elite traits already and smothered Smith, which isn't something to brush off).
Anyway, tech will probably make the playoffs, and you already know it will take a lot of time to build a roster that can compete with likes of Texas (when we aren't cutting off our dicks), fOSU, Oregon, Georgia, etc. It will just take longer for tech due to proximity, making the right evaluations, keeping your roster intact, etc and so forth. It can and will be done in time. I'm all for seeing tech make the CFP, adn I'm curious as to who they face and how well they can hold up right now, which will tell us a lot about whether or not the transfers + recruits + depth can hang. That's all.
Anyway, I didn't mean to get you all riled up. That wasn't my intention at all. You're a fucking hilarious poster and I enjoy your posts.
