  1. Whoa. I didn't realize a fellow Surly lived in my state. I live in Raleigh. Nice to know I'm not alone.
  2. Stroh is abysmal. If Flood can't see this, he needs a new home. Neto posts better numbers. Flood has done an admirable job recruiting (for the most Part), but he doesn't seem to grasp the reality that penalties lose yards. What the fuck is he teaching these big humans? To fall on their faces and hope it takes out a DT?
  3. I'm actually impressed that any of you would go back and watch how bad we played. There's no way I could force myself to, even if I were drunk or smoked crack. That would be like getting a rattan whipping in Singapore.
  4. I do watch the games, but after 4 seasons of this it isn't just on the players, unless they're being taught to suck at the goal line. It's maddening that he can't scheme up a simple screen or an out route, or hell, even a drag route. We have don't have to rely on Wingo, we can use Moore, and McCutcheon has shown he can catch, as has Lockett. We don't have to run Arch up the middle. To add to this, split Baxter out or Wisner. Keep one in the back field, and allow one in the back. Confuse the fuck out them!
  5. I would argue his hands are below average. His catching ability is on par with Gibson's carrying abilities and not fumble.
  6. It never ceases to amaze me or make me chuckle when Sark acknowledges our redzone issues, yet does nothing to address them. I gotta say, it's quite impressive. For someone who people keep calling a "genius" and "wizard" on offense, we sure seem to suck inside the 20. Does genius and wizard have 20 yard to the endzone kryptonite?
  7. Just beat the shit out of the aggies, that's all I really care about.
  8. We all knew their new QB, Gunnar Stockton sucks ass when we played them in the CCG. I don't if they have anyone better. Their QB room has been meh at best. They do have a commit from the #2 Qab in 2026 in Jared Curtis, whom Sark was evaluating between him and Dia Bell, and chose to go all-in on Bell, which he made the right decision.
  9. The media does this same wash, rinse, repeat every year with the aggies. Always. None of them actually believe it unless you're window licker Desmond Howard-level. It serves two purposes - 1) It makes 8&4 feel special that they have the media pumping them up 2) It gets people talking on their boards about it, which drives up revenue and get more eyeballs on the TV, even if it's the people like us who are in the wtf kind of shitty crack are they smoking?
  10. I'm not sure this is true. I believe we were on him because he was really good and was also a top-150 recruit, I believe? Sans ESPN, because they don't know shit about recruiting, and haven't for close to a decade and a half.
  11. Sorry about the name change and all...
  12. Hopefully this is the game we get to see some of the younger guys perform at RB, QB, DL, WR. Simon is going to be a fantastic get for us, and Lockett looked good when he got in the game. Now I want to see more of McCutcheon, who didn't look bad, Ffrench, Townsend, Sharma, Charles, Clark, and/or Owens/Lacey.
  13. Any time I see this thread title, I think of Zelda from Pet Semetary.
  14. Nice. Schloss and co ain't stopping until we win back to back to back to back to back NC'S.
  15. Don't use "fricking", please. That's literally what aggies post instead of the word "fucking". If you don't want to curse, that's cool, but there's a myriad of other ways to get your point across. Thank you for reading my TED talk
  16. Can't wait for this dude to step foot on campus. He's going to be a menace. Fuck Miami, he's not going there.
  17. If Michigan can fire Sherrone Moore and actually land a coach in the next 2 years, I think Bryce Underwood could be very good. Moore should stick to o-line coaching, and not under any circumstances be a HC at a school like Michigan. The only good thing he did was lean on his stud transfer RB Justice Haynes (the one I begged and wished we had gone after), and he kept them afloat from making the score look better than it actually was. The only thing going for Michigan is they have a pretty easy schedule with games against Purdue, Northwestern (who may quite literally have the worst QB in all of P4, Preston Stone. I'll give CTJ props for calling him a bust as a recruit), Maryland, Michigan State, Washington, Wisconsin, and Central Michigan. Nebraska will probably beat them, USC, if they aren't a fraud, should beat them, and Ohio State is a coin-flip at this point. They could easily either lose either 6-7 games or win 8-9, it's hard to tell with that league. Mateer looked OK. I didn't come away thinking "Wow! He's gonna be awesome!" He looked pretty good, at best. Our defense can shut him down. Their defense didn't look very intimidating against the run, and it's hard to tell against the pass since they faced a true frosh who clearly wasn't ready to face grown men. Ou looks beatable. Pre-season polls are dumb, I agree, but they have to have something to sort teams out, and it gives players motivation. No team looked absolutely dominant in 2 weeks. Oregon looks pretty good, but they played sisters of the poor, and Ohio State thumped an HBCU. Florida lost to South Florida, but I don't care. Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois at home last year. Are they the same thing? Probably not, but it's week two. Not to mention Napier is still coaching. Aggies defense looks absolutely horrendous, and their offense is pedestrian. Georgia looks...well, like shit. They have a worse QB than us right now. LSU is a fraud like always under Brian Kelly. They put up a whopping 23 points on La Tech. At the end of the day, everyone has to get better, and no one out there looks dominant.
  18. I posted it in the wrong thread, so that's on me. I didn't realize it until later and I just left it there.
  19. I thought the exact same thing. Regardless of score, they weren't doing anything else against us. That would have been a fitting time to get younger guys their feet wet and take a hit or get a catch from another team. Get them ready in case they're needed. Missed opportunity.
  20. That's for the reach around and donkey show afterwards.
