  1. They shoukd take into account that we lost by a TD AT their place, and we held them to just 14. That should not be punished. So I think, regardless if we lost, that "loss" should be thrown out.
  2. I agree with him. I don't want the big OOC games to go away. We lose, it sucks, but it shouldn't hurt our chances if we don't get beaten like Ike Turner after a coke bender. If we win and we lose to a hapless team, we still have that big OOC win in our back pocket as a mulligan. It's a win-win, imo.
  3. They're regulars. Hopefully we'll start to be as well. Made it in year one and that wasn't some fluke. We can do it regularly with better coaching in both halves instead of one or the other. We aren't aggy.
  4. Maybe. You never know until you're there. This team has the talent, it's the coaching. I don't care if game 1 we looked like dog shit against OSU, we still held Smith in check and lost by a td. I want to see this team get even more plugged in against anyone that steps in our path.
  5. It's fine, man. It's a new day, a new dawn, a new light for me. And I'm feeling good. If we get in, i hope like Christ Sark throws out the first half bullshit we've been getting all season and go on a 1985 Villanova-type run and crush planets and bring annihilation and ruin to the CFB world.
  6. Word. I don't think I have been this happy since....I don't when. Pegging aggy and knocking their teeth out as they're the "#3 team" in the country is about as amazing as it gets. All that shit they talked and we absolutely kneecapped them like they're Tonya Harding. God this feels amazing. I went through the thesaurus and I just can't find the words. The schadenfreude is too strong, but my veins are adapting.
  7. Concepcion is an absolute beast, and Craver isn't far behind. Those two, if they had a legit QB, would absolutely torch defenses. In my personal opinion, I think they're the second best WR tandem behind only Smith and Tate.
  8. I asked a hypothetical question, and you are going ape shit over a literal nothing burger. All I get in return is "because it's the CFP" so I say "so?" We would look unprepared, we have severe OL issues, no running game, a secondary that almost anyone who can throw a forward pass can complete. Then we leave the A gap and B gap open for their RB to run through. We can't get off blocks. But yes, my feelings are hurt. You cannot be serious.
  9. Marcel is built like he weighs literally 160 lbs. He's also pretty short and a weak arm. His WR's are clutch as fuck. They aren't Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, but they're solid af.
  10. Firstly it's *you're Secondly, why are you so upset? Because we can understand how a paradox works without resorting negs and name calling?
  11. Your wife is a keeper, no doubt.
  12. Man, from your lips to God's ears. He looks lost out there for most of the time. He really needs to let his ego go and just admit he can't do it all. He's not Lane Kiffin, he's recruiting at a different level than Ole Miss and we should be beating their asses. We get that chance next season. People keep throwing out Chip Kelly, but they don't understand the Kelly and Sark have different philosophies on offense. Kelly was allegedly calling the wrong plays this season for LV, or not even having the right game plan installed. There are more capable out there.
  13. OK, you know what? I can get behind this. Sure, that's all plausible, and I agree with the learning process. And yeah, it's football, weird shit happens. I want to see more Manning to Wingo connection, as well as Moore. They need it badly. Wisner, and it's not his fault at all, and I was shocked to hear we haven't had a single game with over 100 rushing yards all season. I thought he did against ou, but nope. He did what he had to do, and that was make chicken salad out of chicken shit. If our OL were just above average and consistent, this would re-shaoe the entire team completely on offense. As for defense, man, we looked really good at tnes in the secondary, but then you would see stupid shit like McDonald face-mask penalty. Akina needs to be replaced, that's his position, and Taaffe took a step back this season. That's not his fault, that's coaching. I don't know anything about Orphey, so I put him in the Kenny Baker category of I'll wait and see. But we need a safeties coach in the worst way. I miss Gideon. We gotta get that shores up, and it was great to see Kobe Black ball out against 3 of the best WR's he's gone against. Littleton is just a gamer.
  14. @Drew Stop being overly emotional. You're better than this. You don't have to agree with it, but dude, be cool.
  15. Fuck yeah we're winning 10! We are gonna roll in the bowl game and it's a successful season. After how we started to even get to the point of 10 wins is nothing short of amazing. We truly looked like Rosie O'Donnell's asshole has raging diarrhea. There was a point where I wondered if we would win 7 games — total. We just have to put it together. We can't keep having this first half stagnated, fossilized turd. Having to hope and pray we come out hot in the second half is not a recipe for success. Hell, early on there were people saying we weren't winning 5 games. I knew 3 things for certain, and you can verify my posts on them- 1. I said we would beat ou 2. We would beat Arky 3. We would liquify aggy at seasons ends. Those were my 3 guarantees. 4. OK, I said we would beat Ohio State, too, but...uh....we'll skip that one.
  16. Then you and I are in the same boat lol.
  17. All I left were my keys at your mom's house, that wasn't money. I came back for them.
  18. Yeah, man. That TD run he looked absolutely smooth. I had never seen him play before, but damn I was impressed. They should have played him over Owens. Smith just has something different in him.
  19. Jesus Christ, dude.
  20. You guys are letting emotions override rationale. That's totally understandable after beating aggy like a mule in Mexico, and I understand being down-voted because as you see it "I'm not a real fan" simply because I've laid out the why. I graduated and have a masters, but somehow I'm not a fan? I know Surly is knee-jerk, and that's fine. That doesn't make me any less of a fan. It means we see it differently. I'm not here trying to change minds like some guru, I'm just being real. Who the fuck are you?
  21. Exactly. That's the Paradox of Futile Desire, which I laid out below. I understand why people want it, and I do too, but there's a rationale that says it's just showing up this year. I'm not just a fan, I'm a grad and I bleed burnt orange, but I also understand that sometimes you have to be real. I will obviously cheer if we make it an hope for the best, obviously. But Georgia was just 3 games ago, and it was brutal. Beating your rivals is one thing, but getting beaten at every position while also losing out best defensive player in the process showed how far behind we truly are this year.
  22. It's not about making the CFP, it's about making the CFP with a team that can win it all. Obviously I would love to make the CFP, but I know we don't match up well with most of the top teams. What's so hard to understand about that? Did you miss what Georgia did to us? Mike fucking Bobo has out-coached Sark on offense 3 times in two years. Do you think that's going to change because...playoffs? Do you want that to happen again but by someone else who doesn't stagnate in the first half? Beating aggy is fucking awesome. But damn, dude. You're missing the forest for the trees. You're wanting a plaque and a lottery ticket that you're fantasizing about that we can compete with anyone. No we can't. That's being unbiased. This isn't TexAgs, bro. We can be real here and not live in some distorted reality. If this were.a 4 team playoff and we had an outside shot, fuck yes. But this is 12 teams with at least half of them having the same amount of talent, but better offenses. We are inconsistent at best, and I'm being generous. It's paradoxical- Make the CFP for the sake of saying we made it and not having areal chance to win it all, while ignoring losing to Florida, and going to OT against shitty Kentucky and Miss St Don't make the CFP, still make a good bowl game, get to 10 wins and get Arch ready for next year when he really breaks out. It's the Paradox of Futile Desire 1. Desire — There is genuine want (making the CFP) 2. Futility — the object of desire is known to be unattainable (making the CFP but knowing we have no chance at winning it all) 3. Paradox — the knowledge of its impossibility both suppresses the desire and fuels it
  23. It's all good, man. We can always disagree and still be cool. No issues with you at all, my dude.
